  • Grace Jones' 1977 debut album 'Portfolio' included a Broadway medley on Side 1. Here's my extended edit of Grace's version of the hit song from the musical 'Annie'...

Bet your bottom dollar this should really be labeled "Vincent Montana and the Salsoul Orchestra - featuring Grace Jones".
So much of the Portfolio album is classic Vincent Montana. Yes, she was put forth as the star, but Vincent Montana was the genius who created this particular disco "sound". It was literally a "Big Band" with real-life acoustic instruments playing to a brilliant arrangement. The wold of Disco went uphill and downhill from here, but Vincent Montana and his Salsoul Orchestra established a foundation from which many wonderful things would evolve!

    The sun'll come out, tomorrow,
Bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow,
    There'll be sun,
    Just thinkin' about, tomorrow,
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow, till' there's none,
When I'm stuck with a day, that's grey and lonely,
I just stick out my chin, and grin, and say,
Oh, the sun'll come out tomorrow,
So you gotta' hang on till' tomorrow,
    Come what may.
Tomorrow tomorrow, I love you tomorrow,
    Your'e only a day away,
    The sun'll come out, tomorrow,
Bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow,
    There'll be sun,
    Just thinkin' about, tomorrow,
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow, till' there's none,
When I'm stuck with a day, that's grey and lonely,
I just stick out my chin, and grin, and say,
Oh, the sun'll come out tomorrow,
So you gotta' hang on till' tomorrow,
    Come what may.
Tomorrow tomorrow, I love you tomorrow,
    Your'e always a day away,
Tomorrow tomorrow, I love you tomorrow,
    Your'e only a day away,
    The sun'll come out, tomorrow,
Bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow,
    There'll be sun,
