Hi guys, love ya videos, we have made it to Thailand for a week now , you videos helped us research and plan our journey, mite see ya around from Nezza and Manga Cairns qld
Very informative, thanks guys. Mandy I have to say the post you did about why you travel and the insecurity of what we all believe is security with regards to employment etc was one of the best posts I’ve ever seen. Thanks
That’s informative, thanks., learning a language between the locals is available everywhere, I started improving my Russian when I went to Russia and my Turkish in Turkey , Spanish is already easy ❤
We are from Sydney and love playa del Carmen that much we got married there in 2016 at the Royal with 6 amazing friends flying over from the celebrations 🎉
The 180 day visas were always there they never disappeared it was up to the immigration officer/office and point of entry were you entered Mexico as to how much time they were going to give you in Mexico.I now heard as recently as yesterday that Mexico has returned to the 180 visas for everyone no matter where you cross into the Country
Hi Lloyd and Mandy I had the pleasure to meet you guys do you remember? Dreams Tulum?? I definitely have good suggestions about Mexico safe places!! By the way about the safety part of the video I remembers those words we spoke about! Thank you for sharing with your public. As a Mexican I appreciate it
Hi guys. I highly recommend Puerto Vallarta. Dramatic jungle covered mountains come right down to town, and south of town, right down to vaguely Tahitian crescent beaches. South of town is by far the more lush and beautiful part of the bay. North of town it is dry and more arid. The mountains cause very distinct microclimates. If staying in town the most charming and walkable neighborhood is the Olas Altas area. Lots of old Mexico charm. And mini buses to points south. Such as the spectacularly beautiful and laid back Mismaloya beach. Get off at the hotel entry but then walk a hundred or so meters down a sandy road alongside the hotel to reach a dreamy beach. Lots of good rustic beach restaurants. From Mismaloya you can easily rent a panga boat for a couple of hours to take you to the nearby islands, then Over to the beach village of Las Animas. Great fun, very beautiful trip, and inexpensive. By the way no sargasso on that side of Mexico.
Hi guys! Loving your content! So awesome seeing a. Fellow Aussie on UA-cam in lovely Mexico! We’ll be in Mexico in December and January visiting family and friends!
Mexico is safe if you follow a local who knows the areas. As long as you avoid the unsafe areas, you're fine. But it's always better to stay with a local as you might get scammed, especially by police.
We used Uber everywhere we can in Mexico. Just a minor correction; Uber is available in Puerto Vallarta. From the airport there is a pickup spot on either side of the pedestrian bridge to the east side of the airport. Taxis know it and hang out there to try and get the business.
Another great informative video. yes I use to go to a gyn in Kuta in the mornings. Bare foot only. All the bouncers would train there after work. it was helpful when I went out in the evening. Yes, scooter (rental) number plates. Police target them in Bali Ive just returned from two months in Thailand and I purchased a scooter so it wasn't an issue. The crime thing is the same in Thailand - happens in the provinces. Yes don't be out too late in any city.
Try Acumal. I hear it’s more developed but it used to be a great place. I would also try the coastal areas that are a bit more laid back. Even in the surfer towns there are often places you can swim. Puerto Escondido and Zipolite are good places. There are also yoga resort areas and spas. For a fun beach area not as frenetic as Cancun and Playa del Carmen or Tulum try Puerto Vallarta. The Zona Romantica in PV is a lively LGBT friendly are with good drinks and good vibes.
I just flew back home (Playa) today, and they were asking all non residents for proof of return flights and proof of accommodation, and were giving days accordingly. This flight was in from Europe, so not sure if more strict always from there or just today.
I believe they way that the Mexican law is written about rental car insurance is that it doesn't matter what other insurance you haveas a tourist that would theoretically cover you. It's mandatory that you buy insurance from a Mexican insurance provider. There's no way around it. I'm sure it's theoretically possible to buy car insurance once you arrive in Mexico and use that policy to rent the car. But even if that's possible I doubt that it would be cost-effective or convenient.
Hello U2, I have some information about Lloyd had mentioned that Mandy has using the Etsy store. This is great. I do believe that You Mandy should talk about this Etsy because it is so far a great store. I did not enter because I had a difficult time to sign in the VAT ID on the application. So ! I am waiting because I am leaving to visit my son in Vancouver, B.C. in October so I will still see U2 on the Videos. Take care for now
Hi guys, unfortunately you are wrong about the FMM and the Temporary Residency card. I know you want to be accurate for your followers so I suggest you watch a fellow UA-camr, Qroo Paul for info about Mexico for visitors and expats.
Hello Lloyd and Mandy...just finished a binge session watching your vlogs and podcasts you have produced over the past couple of weeks....great stuff!! I know I'll never get to Mexico, but you've both educated me as to what "some" of the country can offer tourists/visitors, I can certainly appreciate the attraction. I now look forward to following your adventure in the US, have visited the States twice, Kingsport (Tennesse), Cleveland, Torrence (California), Anaheim, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New Orleans (French Quarter), San Francisco, Las Vegas, Grand Cayon....they were all fabulous places and experiences, I trust and hope they have remained that way....enjoy your continued nomadic lifestye...stay healthy and safe, cheers Gaz(WA)😎
I love this video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
so on car rental. you gotta talk directly to the people. don't ever rent it thru expedia or other website. talk to them directly give them like 40 bucks under the table and you will get a great deal, this only works when low season or you are the first. I have rented severas vehicles. 200 dollars a week on a brand new vw tiguan. my friends country collectors in you tube can help you. it will be a great collaboration. you guys gotta come to the day of the death parade like agent 007 in cdmx.
You are very brave to travel to Mexico city. I found your channel recently, when you were in Playa del Carmen which has always been my favorite. I have always used the city buses/Van's they are cheap, safe & best way to get around. Another cute expat little town is Queretaro. Safe travels
I don’t get that vibe from Lloyd and Mandy? They also describe all the wonderful experiences and places. It’s refreshing to see a UA-cam couple also acknowledging what you should be aware of in a respectful way.
The thing nomads like you don't realise is, Facebook expat groups don't exist for nomads to find a month's accommodation. There's marketplace adverts, and there's Airbnb. Sure, you get a few replies from the expat groups, but what you either don't know or don't care about is that yours and dozens of other accommodation-seeking adverts are appearing on the news feeds of thousands of expats which is really annoying and causes most of them to have to stop following these groups because they're so full of this spam.
Is the large english speaking expat community a big factor in why it feels more homey? I have found this makes a big factor for how quickly I acclimate to a place I don't speak the language.
We love following you guys, our personal favorite place in Mexico is Huatulco Oaxaca, check it out 👍, looking forward to seeing your travels, Dan & Terrisa

No disrespect but you guys seem to complain about every place you visit
I don’t get that vibe from Lloyd and Mandy? They also describe all the wonderful experiences and places. It’s refreshing to see a UA-cam couple also acknowledging what you should be aware of in a respectful way.
Yeah, no they’re actually very respectful towards other countries and cultures.
Hi, ask for the permanent residence

Hard to concentrate on what you are saying when there is background music.
That it basically sucks? Once “maybe” twice then never again.

No vengan
Dejen de promover México. Ya no vengan a México.
I live in Denver Colorado and I could tell you the United States is a lot more unsafe than Mexico
