It’s such a great watch. If it had 20mm lugs and female end links, they probably could have gotten 30% more sales. Thanks for the great review.
Another one for the list. I love titanium bracelets as so comfortable
The lugs form part of the crown guards and it needs the 22mm to achieve that. That does however make the bracelet appear too large when you have the monotone grey of the Ti bracelet, but on a leather strap which I have mine on, the 22mm lugs looks perfectly fine. I don't mind the gap between dial and strap. I believe there is some AR coating on the underside? The lume is not great, but there is a tonne of contrast between dial and hands, so not the end of the world.
It is so good to see they changed the movement. Made a great watch into an even better watch. Have you. Seen they have now also done a bronze version?
The more I see this watch, the more I like it 😅
Great review 👍
Thanks! 👍
Picked this up on 11.11 for $87 USD with the titanium bracelet. The pass thru strap was also included. Very happy with it, especially for the Ali Express price.
Bought it direct from Boderry = 10% off “ first purchase offer” = cheaper than AliE’ ! 😊
Love it 👍
I'm getting this model for sure. I'm only on the fence about which color option. This exact one or the red version. I wish I could find a video or actual pictures of the red version to get a better idea of the actual color. This one is nice but the dial seems a little darker than I initially thought.
The day/date at 4pm would drive me mad. Not for me. But seems like fantastic value and a decent look.
Tbh it isn’t a problem in itself , what is somewhat incongruous is the white day/ date which h is a a mistake , also would have preferred logo in traditional top spot . Rest of design is so different/ funky and clever that it’s not a ‘ deal killer ‘ . Love mine in volcanic grey as above.

Very nice review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!

Thank you!
The Boderry is very cool but holy shit that San Martin/watchdives watch is spectacular and I can’t wait for that review!
I have that San Martin but in silver/white and also have this Boderry. :D
I have a V1 and this is a definite improvement. The bracelet only came out recently and I decided it wasn't worth it for me. I'm a fan of Hemsut 2-piece nylon straps ans their grey one matches this watch perfectly.
Hey I ordered one and it has a tracking number that's not from usps ups or FedEx or even DHL did yours come from China by any chance?
How could I understand if mine it’s a V1 or V2 ? I just ordered the watch 10 days ago
Should be V2. V1 used a Myota 8xxx series movement without hacking.@@ghostvape8616
i'm waiting for the 20mm lug width and maybe a bit shorther lug to lug version
That would be really nice
For $100 it’s the best value on the market right now. Especially with the seiko movement
Looks like a Bertucci, but a lot more for your money. Also, many folks prefer a 22mm lug width...I personally thing that 22mm straps LOOK much better...
Same with lume. I camp alot. & trying to leave the cell phone behind as much as possible. I could use an alarm or more than 1 too.main thing is ,right around 30 days return date,it started loosing 5-15 minutes here & there. Now I look at it & it’ll be way off. Didn’t break it or mess with it too much. Wear it all the time. At first, losing 15 seconds a week or so. Don’t have $100 to waste & not a collector. 1st automatic ever & 1st watch in 20+ years. Last one was an Ironman. Did everything but wanted something not so disposable. Citizen eco drive maybe?
I love the lug width.
Small things but I love it.
The lume kills it for me.
No good for camping.
I'll eat the grams of 316 steel over poor lume.
I’ve just received my Boderry voyager. I like the look of the watch, it wears well, not as light as I had been led to believe and the overall fit and finish is very good. I was able to size my bracelet without any issues. The main problem I have is the crown operation. It has a nice pop when unscrewed and the 1st positions work as expected. The issue is when pushing the crown back in, it doesn’t always engage to start the movement running again. It’s like you have to push it in 2-3 times to engage it and then it’s fine. Has anyone else experienced this ?
@@jayfra100 I've had that happen a couple times. Crown stem is cut a hair too long. It's an easy fix for a watchmaker but I'd probably just live with it on this watch. The movements aren't accurate enough for someone needing to stay super precise either way...it'll be off 4 seconds after the first day
@@EscapeWheel thanks for the reply. I sent a video of the crown action to boderry. They sent it to their factory. Their response was interesting stating the issue was related to the crown being titanium. They suggested to push the crown in harder to get the engagement back into the movement. LOL……
I can live with it but it is annoying as being an automatic and part of my watch rotation means it will need time adjustment frequently when I choose to wear it.. ce la vie..
Confused between this and Tactical Frog FXD.
Don't know which to get😢
If lume is important get the frog mine is awesome
Very thorough review as always 👍 . Shame about the lume, but for me it is the lugs that ruin it. 22mm is too wide for the case diameter and the lugs look odd with the bracelet, I hoped they would look better with a pass through strap, but even then they looked bulky and ungainly. Shame, because it is good value and appears well made.
Great review. Is it titanium or titanium finish?
Fill titanium
@@EscapeWheel thank you
Hello there ! How could I understand if mine it’s a V1 or V2 ? I just ordered the watch 10 days ago
Should be a V2. It'll say NH35 for the movement instead of Miyota
Day/date is in Chinese and English.
There is a NTTD watch from Steeldive, looks amazing
Great case, movement & strap. But I would replace the dial and hands
Crown is at 4 o'clock not Seiko's 3.8. They used standard NH35/6 movement with day/date at 3 o'clock but moved one hour.
I was looking at it on other channels and a bit undecided but now I know I will not go ahead with it.
You are 100% right with springbar holes, it seats a bit too high on one pass. Lug-to-lug is also too long imho.
Don't know but Bertucci with very simillar dimensions look more compact.
Yeah, I own a couple Bertucci watches and now the Boderry Voyager, both are almost identical dimensions. The Bertucci uses their solid lugs that are not removable though. I use a pass through strap on both anyway so no big deal and I don't think they sit too high up in that configuration. I have the titanium bracelet and that is a nice option to have to variety. I have developed a preference for the 4 o'clock location for the crown and date, but that could be just me getting used to it over time. The original Seiko 6105-8110 Captain Willard had a 4 o'clock location too so it is not without precedent. The reissue of the Willard has it at 3.8 o'clock, which is kind of odd considering the original had it at 4, but the date was at 3. The Boderry has some things to not like about it, but overall is an excellent watch to wear. I like it a lot and wear it often, but again, with me wearing the Bertucci watches for the past 5 years or so it could be I have just gotten used to them and now have a preference for that kind of watch. I love all watches actually, but like some more than others. LOL I agree about the spring bar holes though, it limits the possibilities with them being so far out. However, with the actual bracelet or the pass through strap it's not really an issue.
Seiko NH36 does have a choice of 3.0, 3.8 or 4.0 day/date wheels.
Could have been a winner if they'd remove the day date from that terrible position 😆 and placed the name below the 12. Imo .
Also no faux lume and increase the size of the minute and hour hands 😬
And make no-day no-date version with NH38a movement.
Also…LUME..does any watch lume truly last all night??or even close?
The 3 in this video & every one I’ve seen shows a 5 minute span & going south FAST!
Showing on camera is tough due to exposure and the cameras trying their best to show you...something.
But yes, plenty last all night. I find even some poor lume lasts enough for me. I typically charge my watches before going to bed (hit it with a bright flashlight for a few seconds). If I wake in the middle of the night, I can read it just fine... my eyes are adjusted to the dark already so no issue.
Anything with Superluminova SHOULD be readable in that situation.
My Hamilton Khaki mechanical is considered to have poor lume, but it's good enough for me to see in that situation.
To answer your other post, the ecodrives are great, as are g-shocks. I just reviewed a Hamilton khaki homage from excitement time. Lume is slightly better than my Hamilton, but it runs a problem free Seiko VH31 sweeping quartz movement. A bargain for $50 and one worth at least checking out.
Sinn 356 lasts all night no problem. I wake up 5 - 6 am and can still read it fairlz well
At least the packaging box is a great drawer for extra straps...😉
Plus you can have two coins in that gap, if you change the bracelet to any strap. Just in case of emergency! 😜😂
Haha, 2 on each side. You could have an emergency dollar!
Oh my God, the company name. "Boderry" brings to mind an Irish detective series, an english pub or the Albanian minister for Commerce.
Why not call it Chi Pa Waht
Hey this is already top tier for a Chinese watch name :D
if you expect great lume on this watch at this price, you are mad man
Plenty of watches with good lume at this price point. Steeldive, Addiesdive,BERNY, escapement time.
Spoilt the symmetry with the new huge day/date imho
I don't see why they needed both day and date, and then yeah, the location. probably my least favorite location for a date window unless it's done discretely like some of the newer Seikos
This brand doesnt ship the orders. If you want to live troubles with shipping and can not refund your money. You can be free. Please read comments of customers (i mean people made payment and can not receive the orders) for boderry watch's shipping and refund problems
They are famous for their late delivery. One month after ordering is standard. The response from the head office is also full of lies.
Ifs shipped by BOAT from China ; I don’t know if you know this but that’s a long way from .. well any western country ie they gave to cross vast oceans at like 20 knots per hour ! You want 3 day air freight ? Pay for it ! 🙄
*its / have
🙄
Took 13 days door to door for me! They seem to take a while to get the thing moving internally and then once it gets going logistics really are quick. They need to sort their logistics dept out imo.
If the day/date was white on Black maybe i would buy it
it really does ruin an otherwise VERY cool dial
The other language on the day is chinese
That makes sense, than you
i think its Japanese Kanji
Not impressed with the 30 day wait to receive purchase. Lume sucks.
Welcome to the unpredictability of Chinese shipping times. Most of my stuff arrives in 2 weeks but some take longer. And yes, the lume is pretty bad. I've heard some models aren't as bad, but I doubt it.
@@EDCCRAZY ah, yeah, I heard about the shipping delays from them this 11.11 sale. Seems they got pounded with sales and couldn't keep up with the demand causing the delay...giving customers the run-around....just tell us the truth guys, we'll understand more than being told otherwise.
Why, o why the slanted day/date ? It looks horrible.
If they put the boderry text to 8 it wood looks somewhat ok i guess
@@johnstratos9336 No. Slanted datewindows ruin every watch for me. Either put it on 6, 3 or 12. Or just leave the date completely.
Overall too many small flaws adding up.
Don't buy this watch! The watch and the brand are absolute garbage.
Boderry does not adhere to their own warranty conditions. In the event of a defect you are not entitled to anything.
I paid Extra for Express Shipping over a week ago and still not shipped.. unprofessional.. Stop these videos for such cheap companies
Stop cry come on!! U getting a bargain and U crying because the Lil boy can not get his toy on time😢
Lol lil boy cry so hard
It took a month total for me to get it. I think they ran out after the 11/11 sale. It was worth it when I finally got it. I'm wearing it now on the Nato as I respond.
From “ order received at depot” or similar to delivery to me at England total time ….13 days .
I paid for regular shipping got it 12 days
