I love how our president is a fighter and he calls out bullshit where he sees it. Our own government interfered in our 2016 election and their partner in crime was the Ukraine and DNC. We want our stolen tax dollars back. It appears to be 2-7 billion missing. In Ukraine they already had corruption trials for interference in OUR election. There are people in prison over there for it. Our media is not giving us the truth. They are complicit just like they were with Jeffrey Epstein story because they protect their own....Clinton, Prince Andrew, etc, etc. We will seek the truth endlessly. This impeachment is ridiculous. I had been made fun of, mocked and put in seperate classes simply because I asked questions of things that didn't make sense to me from what I had learned up to that point and because I "processed things differently then most students". In public schools it's like "stop asking questions, its this way just because it is."
@Debra Charles ... You forget that in the 1970's Good Old Jimmy Carter created the Department of Education on the Federal Level and that is when the quality of education started its downfall. In the 1990's kids were told not to ask questions that went against what was being taught and when they did they were silenced by the teachers. It has only gotten worse as schools implemented subject matter that should never have been in a school to begin with. Far to many kids are being told they have ADD/ADHD and pills shoved down their throats in order to keep them docile and complicit within the indoctrination process. The simple fact is many of those kids are just bored to death and need to be taught in a more interesting manner that they can grasp and understand.

Ryan Santos Close intelligence and intent are two different things. Politics and law are not black and white. What determines intelligence is the logic and reasoning behind selecting which grey is best for you. For example, a farmer voting for a democrat who ran on a platform of agricultural regulation doesn't make much sense, does it? Refusing to even contemplate or rationalise others choices you disagree with by brushing them off as inferior is a sign of low empathy and warrants its own questioning of intelligence.

I don't think he actually said anything good about Trump, only that he understood Trump voters. As a canadian I'd have to thank Trump for killing the Trans Pacific Partnership, because NOBODY else was going to do that, NO party in Canada was going to do that. Here in Canada they couldn't WAIT to trample more democratic rights with another trade agreement. As a canadian it was bizarre to watch as Trump reopened NAFTA, something NO canadian politician will even MENTION let alone Canada having been screwed over by the states far more than the US did by Mexico. And yet Trump reopened it and demanded Mexico pay its auto workers what Canada and the US were paying. NO canadian politician had ever said that, canadian politicians basically help pack the bags of any industries leaving the country. When the FTA was first signed, 30,000 muffler manufacturers were put out of work in a month. And at those negotiations Canada wasn't even THERE. So how bizarre a world is it that your country gets its best trade negotations from the country that screwed us over, but from a president who is most certainly crazy. And here in Canada when he slapped the tariff on softwood the media and goverment went crazy on how bad Trump was for trade when EVERY person in canada knows damn well we pretty much GIVE our softwood lumber to the corporate license holders, so Trump was most certianly right. An authoritarian would say the Falklands should belong to Argentina. A freedom... lover... "classical liberal" would say that the people on the island should decide.
The Falklands should belong to Argentina. In fact, Britain was warming to the idea of having a very gradual transfer to Argentina, (roughly similar to what they did with Hong Kong) when the Argentine Generals decided to invade in 1982. Argentina has too many of it's own problems now but hopefully it can restore itself to prosperity and stability and eventually have the Islas Malvinas as an autonomous self-governing territory.

The fake outrage is perpetuated by the usual suspects, FOX, OANN, Newsmax and their ilk. My sons in Florida immediately blamed Biden for the hike in gas prices that occurred even before his inauguration. True, the gas prices went up a lot, also in Europe where I live, in the UK and Canada and Australia and probably everywhere else in the world. All caused by a president that is not even in function? There are at least 10 factors that determine the gas price at the pump. Covid disrupted the consumption and production of oil products, travel increased, oil price had gone from almost zero to a high level etc. etc. Inflation increases too, all over the world. Not good news for me, a pensioner with a net income of about 38.000 USD per year, after paying about 30% in taxes and of course I pay also VAT, tax on gasoline, real estate tax, watership fees, local taxes etc. This income will not rise along with the rising inflation-driven cost of living. I don't whine like you though, because I understand that it's not the government or an American president that causes this. It's the f**ing OPEC, the big corporations in oil, pharma, food and tech that set the prices of almost everything we buy. Those corporations have way, way too much power, so when they want something done, they will get it, using their monopolies to extort governments in giving tax breaks, cheap labour, cheap raw materials and a license to pollute the world as much as they see fit to maximize teir profits. Right and left wing politicians make only marginal changes to the system, on the fringes. Clinton did very well for the economy of the rich and the country, but not for the working people. He presented a balanced budget for the firat time in a hundred years or so. Bush made mess of the economy with his wars in the ME and the finacial crisis caused by the unregulated wolves and sharks in the banking system and Wall street. Obama was presented with this heritage and was forced to spend tons of dollars to bail out banks and industries. People who couldn't pay their mortgage anymore were not bailed out.. Left and right, it's almost the same if you look at the results. Some shift money to the rich, some try to raise the minimum wage, or introduce affordable care, but in the end nothing of importance changes. 2 years too late, but i'll comment anyway. Roger, one of, if not, my favorite artist of all time, is dead wrong about many things. First and foremost, we in the US do NOT think war is O.K. Most of us are sick of war, sick of war mongers. Trump shows tremendous disdain for war. If you listen to him when he talks Russia, N.Korea, if you listen to him on Iraq. He plainly states he doesn't want war. It's why he is talking to kim jong un, it's why he wants to have meetings with Iran, it's why he pulled back from bombing Iran after they hit our drone. It's why he calls for pulling troops out of Afghanistan, Iraq. It's why he fired Bolton. And we all don't THINK we are only fighting terrorism. We know oil is a major motivation. We know that nation building is a motivation. We know that installing "friendly" leaders is a motivation. He is assuming too much. Especially that all Americans are stupid. Second, the American dream is still here. We are not living in "shells of cars" deep in the forest. That was just stupid of him to say. Also stupid of him to say is Trump voters have "nothing". One thing he did say that was correct is many of us do feel defeated. In many ways.
It is about your government, not all people. Somehow your government actions reflects, whar Roger and I think about you. I agree about Donald, that (in spite of many other flaws) he was not eager to start any new war - but now with Biden it feels that igniting UA war is just a beginning....
@@mguzjebesku2591 Biden is going with a new foreign policy. He is dumping the peace by strength concept and going with the "sorry about America" concept. He is showing a weak America to the world and the world is about to fall apart. The U.S. is not independently thinking when it comes to conflict. Many nations depend on the U.S. for their security. Look at what happened in Afghanistan. A force of 2500 U.S. troops kept that nation in some sort of civility. But now Biden high tailed it out of there and now the Taliban took over. Look at what rights have been taken from women. Look at what has happened to their economy. Trump wanted a withdrawal, but I think in the end he would've kept Bagram Air Base. And now, Ukraine. I grew up with Roger Waters,.. he mentioned the age of 15, Pink Floyd litterally formed me that time from 13-15 thinking they were the COOLEST band on earth, and they where and still having friends who listen to them on daily bases, but already at 16 my taste progressed and evolved to the next level of existential music,.. Oxygene, Vangelis, Silk road,.. But I always felt they where "my generation" and I´m happy Roger has the same opinion like me about Ukraina ; )
Are you saying when you were 15 or when Roger was 15? Roger was 21 or 22 when Pink Floyd was founded. I know that Syd had named the band after two blues musicians. Had they discussed the name Pink Floyd 7 years prior to the band actually being set in stone? I know it was called The Pink Floyd Sound, then shortened to Pink Floyd.
Roger was / is a poet. Not really a political commentator, more an existential observer. I listened to the Final Cut today and the lyrics about the U.K. around the time of the Falklands conflict and Thatcher’s incumbency stand the test of time and still reflect society’s paranoia and fears in the 80s perfectly. When the album was produced, Gilmour and the band were getting tired of Roger’s anger and wanted to progress but felt they were stifled which lead to the breakup. Taken as art, there’s nothing hypocritical in the Waters’ albums. In the same way Barrett’s albums are works of genius in their own right, Animals, Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, The Wall - all fantastic pieces of musical production which need to be assessed on there own merits. Ultimately, Floyd were victims of their own successes and as individuals have tried to pay back what they think they owe to society e.g. Gilmour’s guitar auction and the proceeds going to charity and royalties for album sales being paid to Syd Barret while he was alive. Their hearts are in the right places but politics has changed so much since they were creating ‘concept’ albums. Polarisation of wealth is more pronounced now than the 70s / 80s, the music industry is unrecognisable. Everything has changed. We need to appreciate Pink Floyd’s recorded output for the immense musical soundscapes it created over time, the incredible lyrics and themes that resonate with listeners today, and how enigmatic appearances from Waters, Gilmour in interviews now, years after, just add to the enigma. There’s no point overanalysing any of it. Value it for what it is (or isn’t) and honour their freedom of speech today as it was in the day - make your own meanings but don’t accept anything as a truth - it’s art after all.
I mean judging from his recent interviews he is clearly a leftist, he has an empathetic worldview and is anti-imperialist. Leftists (progressives) want everyone to prosper. Conservatives are just victims of their conditions and deserve a life of dignity as well.
@@miamdwaIn my experience, leftist progressives are a group of extremely intolerant people. It's either their way or they will try to shame you into submission. Many feel entitled and display a rather childish view of the world. Many live partially in a fantasy concept of life and often struggle with understanding reality with clarity. Although misguided as they may be, most have a good heart. They do mean well.
@@Redandranger Everyone is a victim of their condition. Your environment and experiences shape your worldview. So conservatives are morally reprehensible, but it's not their fault in the grand scheme of things.

Kim Catrall almost wretched when he said “I think thats a great answer”. The myth that only homeless people living in their cars voted for Trump is reflective of their condescension.
Actually he was. FIrst of all, britain is not the US. Back then university was paid for. So almost everybody went. In case you don't know about the sixties, the 'rebels' were most definitely in college even in the US, in fact MORESO in the US. So that is just wrong. Condescension is something else, certainly anybody who paid attention knows that almost half of voters voted Trump, thats a hell of a lot more than the homeless so that goes without saying. But if you have a specific argument of theirs then point it out, otherwise you are just condescending yourself.

"only homeless people living in their cars voted for Trump" I have never once heard anyone say that. Me thinks you heard someone say it on a right-wing source so, of course, you believe it. My condescension for you is rooted in your ignorance. Don't get me wrong, we are all ignorant to some degree, but if you are continuing to defend trump at this stage, well, the shoe fits. That being said, Waters is way, way to confident that he has the only right answers. His shows reflect that. I do not like the overwhelming push of his viewpoint in his shows. Fine, write songs that make a statement, but lets dispense with the flying pig that tells us who to vote for.
It's fine to ask questions, it's not fine to get violent or threaten others with violence because of disagreements. Those who mean harm because they don't get their way, is unacceptable and my tolerance for those people is zero. Violence breeds more violence, forgiveness and compassion keep us civil and we're a civil society.
I think we would both agree that if someone physically assaulted another to steal there money, that that would clearly be a case of "violence". However, do you think if the one being assaulted defends themselves with physical force it's defined as "violence"? I do not. Do you think their is a chance for diplomacy at that moment of the assault? When someone or a group of individuals in power violate the sanctity of human rights and human dignity and reasoning and diplomacy fail, what recourse is their? Let's take WWII for an example, is doing nothing better than defending a less powerful people because to do so would be considered "violence"? Would slavery still exist in this country without physical force? Is freeing enslaved people "violence"? People must stand up to tyranny or they would be enslaved or destroyed. To label every use of physical force as "violence" is reckless. Of course the use of physical force should always be avoided, and only be used as a last resort.
sounds like your describing liberal leftist and the riots of summer 2021 in USA, destroying property and killing people because they felt no one was listening
My general rule is I’ll threaten people who have stolen more than $10,000 from me. Usually it works, sometimes police get involved. But usually I’m paid, they become afraid. Fear is a powerful ally for good people to understand, it’s not only for the criminally insane.

@Victor Alexander We are. There is today not a single existing human group that cannot procreate with another existing human group producing viable and fertile offspring. That is a scientific definition of species.
@Victor Alexander It’s true. The ability to interbreed with viability is the definition. My anthropology teacher noted that even Inuits and Sub-Saharan Pygmys, being of the same species, can interbreed however far apart their bloodlines. It is, though, dangerous for the Pygmy mother because Inuits present a rather high birth-weight..and this did in fact happen on at least one occasion.
I was born in 1982 in the USA, my parents of course listened to Pink Floyd and I USE to think it was strange music UNTIL the day I had free coupons for movie rentals at our little video store in San Dimas around 1994 ish and I wanted to use one for me and one for my mom. I seen Pink Floyd Pulse Live in Concert and I checked it out for her, but surprisingly it became my FAVORITE! I FELL IN LOVE WITH PINK FLOYD! To the point I bought the VHS, watched it so many times it started getting fuzzy in some places during the video and I remembered all the dancers moves and taught my cousins too so we could all dance along, and the lyrics GOLD! I bought all the records and wore my Pink Floyd T-shirt a lot in High School. I seen Roger Waters live at his In the Flesh concert in Las Vegas around 1999 I was a senior in high school. Great band!!!! ❤️

It is depressing to see all of the people in the comments who are attacking Roger Waters because of his liberal views. These same people meanwhile claim to "love" the music of Pink Floyd and other rock musicians of the '60's and '70's. Hate to break it to you all but, rock was created as an expression AGAINST CONSERVATIVE VALUES that dominated the mainstream in the fifties and early sixties. Rock music inherently promotes liberal ideas from legalization of drugs to racial equality to rejection of authority. So why were people expecting these rock musicians, like Waters, to be conservative? It is an utter shame to see those 'rebels' who enjoy the music of Pink Floyd, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, and the Rolling Stones, fall in line with the conservative views of Donald Trump.

I agree #KirG. As I read these anti trump remarks along with the thoughts of Waters almost every one of them has and the individual who wrote them a disdain toward Christianity. Waters, if you have listened to him on enough topics is vehemently anti Christian. ((It was not but a few months ago, our first lady presented a woman with serious mental and moral issues with a set of books about Dr Seuss. The self righteous teacher declined the books and went on several rampages about Dr Seuss being racial, dated..... But what no one here knows: Two years prior to that then first lady MRs obama was seen reading Dr Seuss books to children on a promo for getting kids to read. Go ahead, explain to me why that "teacher" at Halloween that year after seeing Mrs. Obama reading Dr Seuss was DRESSED as DR SASS for HALLOWEEN!!! ))) I define a Christian as the Holy Bible, the words of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit state. Moreover, it is interesting that the British have to come on an American created platform/website to protest their thoughts about America and the president of America: Donald J Trump. And then to top it off they have the lack of intelligence, emotions fueled by hate and lack of Wisdom to tell US Americans to to leave OUR own platform in which they are "trashing:" OUR president. The fact is Waters and the "herd" mentality of people who follow him do not even know what they are angry about (on the surface). More double standards: Knowledge of Hillary Clinton’s private email server: Within five days of the original disclosure by The New York Times that Clinton had built her own private, unsecured email system, Obama told a national TV audience via CBS News what he always said when a new scandal hit his administration - he found out about it at “the same time everybody else learned it, through news reports.”He was lying, flat out.Subsequent reports months later stated that Obama himself had emailed Clinton via that same server, using an alias. And in fact, former U.S. attorneys believe that’s why Comey elected not to recommend her for prosecution. Hillary couldn’t be prosecuted without Obama being prosecuted as well. So here it goes: Take one issue at a time or name several that you blame Trump for? Is it a wall? President Trump does not want the US to end up like Western Europe. Every country has the right to have physical boundaries!!! It states this is US territory and we as the US prosper and also are responsible for what happens in this country. And yes, after we fill our cup, we will be happy to help others. All these allegations about men molesting women. Well, there you have it. God created human beings to have physical boundaries. "No it is not OK for you to touch me there! Or, No it is not ok for you to put your hands on me to attack me. My body is a physical boundary and it is not your right to violate me!" What can't you understand about a wall, about boundaries, about people violating US law and entering illegally? You don't understand it because Satan has you by the throat. What do you say to the people who are rejected from entering the US due to we are already flooded with immigrants. My father and grandparents came here the legal way and if you need to SNEAK in then there are consequences. Or what do you say to the millions of parents who's children are hooked on drugs due to people from South America sneaking themselves and their drugs in? What do you say to the mother whose son was shot and killed by someone who came here illegally, was allowed to stay after having a "wrap sheet?" What exactly is your problem with Trump. I am sure you can't name the issue and share a logical reason!!! As I hears one young girl say: Those people came here illegally because they needed to create a life where they could survive and support himself financially. Wow! Great logic! So shoplifting, stealing from others should be tolerated as long as the "stealer" is poor and needs money?!!!!! WHAT? "Build bridges not walls" sounds warm and fuzzy but again- what about what the crime, the pain our citizens suffered due to a lack of a physical boundary???? Build bridges...... means that a country does not have a right to have a physical boundary??????!!!!! As a Christian, we should be willing after we fill our own cup to reach out to ALL people regardless of race or religion or gender or and say here, let me do for you since you can not do for yourself. Christianity at it's core is about love and limits!!! Yes Christ was no pushover. He had boundaries or He had limits. Has Trump said some things it would have been more Christlike not to say- probably. Have you? Has not every person who ever walked this earth done the same. I find it interesting, the tolerance for the mistakes of obama and yet when Trump makes a mistake the media is so filled with hate toward him (hating a person, not the act) is a sin they pounce every chance they get!!! Maybe all the Trump haters especially those in other countries need to take a look at himself. Maybe they need to take the log out of their own eye before they want to "fix" Trump or America? I am sure every anti Trump poster here has more than enough flaws in their own lives that if they were to correct would have a lot less negative to say about our president. And never forget Waters you would be speaking German if it was not for The United States Of America!!! No? Who did you come running to when you needed arms to protect yourself from German invasion.
Trump is not the fix. If that is the best there is then we are screwed. He got it because the selection was weak. And as a Catholic I don't see him personally as exhibiting much of any real true Christ like values. I was more of a 50/50 in the election. Not for illegals or progressive agendas, yet not for more vast inequality and rewarding the wealthiest whilst berating the poorer. And as I see it today , because of him America will be poorer longterm in future while top percentile revile in today. Trump is wrong about these and many things. You can not worship him as a savior while categorize everyone as working for satan who sees his fallacies.
Although Water's music was impactful on my youth, as I've grown and gained wisdom in adulthood, it is clear that Waters is a well meaning child / narcissist. His wealth and fame give him the misconception that he is relevant in the scheme of things. America and indeed our political environment is incredibly complex, well above and beyond Water's ability to comprehend, analyze, and opine on. Empathize, yes. Respect their intelligence. No.

Second, the American dream is still here. We are not living in "shells of cars" deep in the forest. That was just stupid of him to say. Also stupid of him to say is Trump voters have "nothing". One thing he did say that was correct is many of us do feel defeated. In many ways.
As you wrote this 2 years ago I’ll let it go.
Soon Israel and Taiwan. Biden is a disaster. Also, Roger references "Maggie" in is songs. Referring to Margret Thatcher, who he hated. So, it's not just about our gov't. I'm not totally sure about what Trump would've done, but I think he would've kept the peace by strength concept, and we wouldn't be in the mess were in globally.
Vangelis makes incredible music.
@@miamdwa It's pretty hard to have empathy for people who keep voting themselves into an undignified life every time they get a chance
@@Redandranger Everyone is a victim of their condition. Your environment and experiences shape your worldview. So conservatives are morally reprehensible, but it's not their fault in the grand scheme of things.

Sycophantic behaviour from the presenter is sickening.

"only homeless people living in their cars voted for Trump"
I have never once heard anyone say that.
He didn't say only homeless people living in their cars voted for Trump
Btw, which one's Pink?
Sid
Be careful,,,,,,,, take it slow and easy,,,,,,, that question might be considered racist by some.

If he wins, it's unlikely to be by a landslide. He hasn't added new supporters and he has to hold on to the Obama voters that put him over the top in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. He has the economy on his side, but not healthcare. I think the Dems will run heavily on healthcare like they did in the midterms. @Victor Alexander It’s true. The ability to interbreed with viability is the definition. It is, though, dangerous for the Pygmy mother because Inuits present a rather high birth-weight..and this did in fact happen on at least one occasion.

+KirG Utzon Okay, wanna make love? Let's see how committed to that concept you are.
It is just so fashionable to mindlessly attack Donald Trump. Good rant, saer
make love with the intolerant islamics :)
Like most liberal minded folk, he operates from a basis of feelings and not critical thinking. I'm sure he considers himself a sagacious philosopher, but to those of us who've experienced the world from a point of reality, he is a rube. I still love his music though.
Well put!!! And SO true 👌
I agree and you can hear it in the music i.e. The Wall and The Final Cut. IMHO the music prior was much better when there seemed to be more collaboration. Pompeii, Dark Side time period.
Was going to post exactly what Nick said he beat me to it, I will repeat it though... well put
Good on you.
Everyone's a liberal until they grow up!
@@bluesmanish I wish that were true
At least Waters has a rational perspective. Shows maturity.
I wouldn't have thought that going to his concert. Jeeze. It was nothing but a Trump attack.
These people are going to pass on never realizing how completely wrong they are.

@@tikimax TRUMP was a step in right direction ,corrupt DC elites hated TRUMP ,look at USA today 100 steps backward
Exactly he has empathy. Coming from the pathetic lefty that he is. Empathy as he sue's his bandmates for the rights to the music. Empathy as he fired Syd and stole his band. He can stick his empathy up his leftist commie ass. Does that clear it up for everyone. I don't need no rich limey lefty telling the poor underclass how to think or feel.1776 Rog 1776
