Going to correct the release date.... All announcements say that it will be released on Nov. 12th, not tomorrow. Tomorrow is Veterans/Armistice Day, November 11th. Edit: I wish it was tomorrow... I would have a day off to play the game....
Oh looky here, no scummy events, no ships alone costing more than $100, no endless grinding, u pay $60 and u get all the units available in the game, no legendary mods no pay to win scum bags populating the servers, ill live with sailing ai issues. 🎉thank you for reviewing the game
I've been hearing about this release for more than a year. I was excited for it's prospects since I'm a huge Cold Waters fan. I have watched several content creators playing it and I'm not disappointed with what I've seen. Oh yeah. I'm buying this right when the easy access is released!
Hoping this is what Harpoon4 was supposed to be back around 2000. Played a lot of Harpoon and Harpoon2 back on my old 486 machine. And the Harpoon miniatures game. Looking forward to the completed game.
Wooohooo!!, knew you would cover this one🥰 (Cold waters 2.0...whats NOT to love!) - One of the few recent game releases that I have been actively following since its first announcement...I committed the "what ever it costs!- TAKE MY MONEY!!" funds along time ago 😂
was about to say that i didnt get round to cold waters but i did have the cold waters mod for fleet command loved dangerous waters as well mist have a good look at this
Been watching most of these videos on YT and love the look of it. It comes out tomorrow so I will be ordering it. Can't wait for them to install the Royal Navy / Royal Air Force. Looks like the pricing here in the UK will be between £30-£40. Other YT gamers (Stealth17 Gaming) who have played this have created their own scenarios which will be made available.
Easier way to explain Sea Power... It is basically the same sort of game as Harpoon. Well... that's easier for those of us old enough to remember Harpoon anyway.
Wonder when Killerfish games will make a WW1 Naval Game, like War on the Sea but earlier. Really, War on the Sea should've continued till all WW2 theaters of war were available.
Thought you'd like it :~) I will say about the ship ai issue you have. Are you sure you aren't supposed to give them waypoints to help them traverse obstacles?
From what I've seen in gameplay videos waypoints only apply to a formation as a whole, so if you had each unit in a separate in-game formation then yes this would be the case but not with multiple in one formation (in which case you control the 'flagship' unit - in the case of the background footage in this video the Wisconsin - with the wyapoints, and the other ships just try to keep the formation you set up around it with no consideration for things like islands that might be in the way.)
More than likely the campaign will mostly center in the atlantic but there is nothing to stop you from making Pacific scenarios/missions since you can go quite literally anywhere in the world ingame👀
The devs have been very free with keys, including to creators with one tenth your subs so it's borderline criminal they didn't get you one earlier but better late than never! They also gave one to Jingles (and Flamu), but somewhat disappointingly he only did one video on it. He was after all part of a Sea Power and got shot at by a Missile during the Missile Age.
Regarding the AI beaching ships onto local islands...What was your setup in the Formation Editor? Perhaps the spacing in your formation was too large/spread out to account to local hazards to navigation???
Well, I played the invasion of Norway scenario (I can't remember the name) and it was pathetically easy. The Ruskies barely defended themselves. I was even able to land unguided torpedo hits from the Norwegian torpedo boats after they launched all their Penguins. Sank every ship and only lost the two CAP F-4s. So, I think there may be some issues with the AI.
Definitely going to wait until the game has been fleshed out and the bugs fixed. IT would be nice if they could improve the damage model as everything is pretty much a one hit kill even if you hit the tip of the bow for instance, then the entire ship explodes and sinks even if it's not been holed below the waterline. I also think they should focus on improving the AI to avoid having a meta that can be continuously exploited for example it seems at the moment the AI ships are not on the look out for submarines except constantly using active sonar, they don't seem to be very proactive with listening, altering course or clearing baffles. It is really cool that RBUs can now intercept torpedoes tho!
Has been my most anticipated game of the year ever since I heard about it around January or February. Only real issue im noticing is that the AI seems a bit mouth drooly especially aircraft AI but its nothing a few months of updates cant fix or a mod.
Shame it took them so long to get you a copy, but glad they did not the less. Been seeing this on a few other channels and I find it quite fun to watch. Probably not a game I would play myself though (same with Cold Waters, love watching, do no play it).
Harpoon, Janes Fleet Command, Command Modern Operations, and soon Sea Power are all titles that demand from the player a more disciplined and trained mindset. With Cold Waters, 688i Hunter/Killer, Sub Command, and Dangerous Waters you only have to worry about keeping one unit alive and completing mission objectives. With modern naval warfare strategy games, your attention must be expanded across all the units in the area of operations. The penalties experienced due to complacency, negligence, or incompetence gets multiplied due to the number of units you have.
Yeah no, this game is one of the most realistic vehicle combat simulators (reference to war thunder that is free but you end up spending 60 dollars anyway) and it deserves a high price because of all the work put into it.
Will be added in post launch, they currently have no plans for DLC or expansions. So anything major that gets added later will be through major updates.
Sea and models look gorgeous, then the land terrain looks rough and shockingly bad why no love for the rest of the game when all other areas look perfect. Land just looks pixilated and just low rez bad
I don't think this game is made for you, hence your poor rating of it (and the fact that you play so much World of Warships). This game is for those who know that missiles have incredible range notwithstanding, least of all when compared to a battleship's cannons.
@ yes it does, there’s a difference between rendering an animation wit realistic effects and actually running it ontop of multiple other loads of animations and simulations running in the background. PLEASE don’t make me go into all the tech mumbo jumbo.
Fun fact, the location you are playing the game is in Cyclades region, Greece between Paros and Naxos!!!! And some Mykonos!!!!😁😁😁
Man I love those islands. The memories 😂😂
I nearly died on Naxos. Thanks for reminding me.

Ahhhh so it's Harpoon 2024 in 3D and colors.
Yep, and Jane's Fleet Command
@@Marshal_Dunnik I loved and played both of those games.
And... Modern Naval Warfare...

Reminds me of Jane's fleet command.

FOR THOSE IN PERIL ON THE SEAAAA
This game is trying to become it's successor, I've heard. Sea Power is inspired by Fleet Command.
This is definitely my dream game
Been waiting for this game for more that two years now. Finally it's here!!
We shall see.
0:35 Rudder sift time buff from those signal flags there. lol. jk.
Looks interesting, can't wait to see more of the campaigns.

I remember when the Iowa class battleships were a mod for cold waters. Glad that they're a vanilla ship in this.
If this had multiplayer, it would be an instant buy.
Not all games work on multiplayer mode first up because they actually work on the important parts first. Concord is a good reminder.
If in doubt...Weapons free.

Knowing microprose it will be $50-$60 but since it’s early access they may start it at $50 then increase to $60 once it releases out of early access.
Great I’m gonna have to drop around A$70-80
Reminds me of Navy Strike, a pc game from 1995.

i like cold waters ( im not good at it lol) but i like it. i will have to check it out. i would like to see you doing videos on how to play this game.
This game gives me highfleet vibes, i highly recommend highfleet btw, its a great fleet strategy game with alotta guns too.
Oh, I finally made a video on
Loved cold waters, so i have high hopes for this especially when modders get their hands on it 👍
Haven’t played the other games, for a newbie will it have steep learning curve?
I hope that in this game, destroyers are not stronger than battleships. That's how it is with World of Torpedoes 🤣🤣🤣

Hey uh, the game doesn't come out tomorrow (November 11th), it comes out the next day (Nov.12th) at 4AM EST - According to their steam page right now.
The discord link is invalid for some reason...
30 years ago i tried Harpoon, and it was too difficult.
This one looks like Harpoon with better graphics.

NATO is under attack by Warsaw Pact
Meanwhile in the Pacific Ocean:
I wonder if NATO is actually NATO in the game or just 100% U.S. forces?
Thank God, a decent sea warfare game. I'll give a go and hopefully I'll like it enough to just end my involvement with that piece of toxic trash WoW!

Early access for 45€. Thats a bit much.
the minimum specs are beyond what my laptop has though, so more a nightmare game to me.
Minimum specs is usually low to mid settings at 30-60 so you might be able to run it at the lowest settings possible
