- We hooked up the DJI Pocket 2 via a clip mount and brought you on along for the ride on our errands!
Part 1 covers us leaving the Hotel Suite, we are staying in BnB Madina in Jemaa El Fna. We headed across the square for breakfast at an unnamed cafe, which is a few doors down from L’adresse on Rue de la Koutobia in Marrakech.
We met with a maker who asked us to stop filming whilst negotiating, we hope to return to him in the next few days as he was super chill, had unique wares not seen before and is experienced in transporting to the UK!
We popped in again on our contact who we source Tamegrout items from, we seen him the day before and asked for a sample of a small tile with a bee emblem on it. So we called in, committed to a large order of them and arranged a day to pay and collect.
We needed to change more gbp to mad so we did that and grabbed a Latte from Kech Cup, one of our favourite coffee hatches in Marrakech. We then had to collect some new metal birds from a new supplier to sample how they go!
I didnt actually realise how good the microphone was on the DJI… so you’ll hear me complaining about my back pulling today, so we had a mint tea at Brock the Kasbah to rest up for a few minutes which is where part 1 ends!
Like - Follow & Subscribe for parts 2 and 3 which are to come over the next few days.
You’ll see us buy several antiques… hear Steven get frustrated at a seller that wont take no as an answer, who then forced us to barter for items out of our price range.
We also have more drinks, more food and a brief walk around Jemaa El Fna in the evening before returning to the hotel.
Welcome to Morocco 🇲🇦, we love you brother
Chukran! I absolutely love Morocco and it's people ❤️
mr~Super, how bes ~see ya!! =)
Im staying in bnb medina end of the month, a small tour of the apartment would be brilliant and how it is during day and during night when the squares open in full force
I'm really sorry but it appears I've accidentally deleted the video I made which shown my reaction to the apartment and a brief tour of it. :/
We stayed in the "Deluxe superior apartment" because I wanted the view of the square. This was our 5th time in Marrakech and whilst it was the least traditional accommodation we have stayed in, it was by far the best for location and I will 100% stay here again.
Our positives : The staff were amazing - The rooms were spotless - The facilities such as Wifi, Smart TV and kitchen space etc were great - The views are priceless.
Our negatives : The bed was very firm and not what we are used to, that said I slept like a log for 9 nights! There was a smell of damp coming from the shower, but again it didn't stop me showering so no harm done. The shop keeper below room 4 is very loud when moving displays in at midnight and out at 8am I though someone was breaking in on the first night lol. But again, it is what it is... it can't be helped, it didn't irritate us or anything and tbh with exception of the first night, we were awake at those times anyway.
It really is a fab spot and well worth the extra few pounds per night! We're going to share some tips on restaurants etc for breakfast too in the next few days so keep an eye out or drop me an email at thehive@vhinteriors.co.uk and I'll send some recommendations through for you to try.
@@HiveStoresUK thank you very much, i feel as if i now know what im expecting from the apartment and rge surroundings. Much appreciated cant wait to visit
I'm from Luton we going here in May
If you haven't been before I'm sure you will love it! Marrakech has something for every kind of traveller. Personally we love the old Medina and the hustle and bustle of the souks. But the new city and the popular tourist haunts are equally as enjoyable. Who knows we might even do the quad bike or hot air balloon excursion on our 6th visit. ;)
