Just bought my 3S today. My originall MX Master which i;ve had since 2016, finally reached the point where the mechanical issue (thumb perma click) take over my patience. Worked for a good 7 years. i've also influenced a lot of purchases from my friends and colleagues. Such an amazing piece of hardware
it's my favourite mouse, just make sure you dial in your settings for speed of movement and clicking - if the settings are too high the mouse can feel out of control, and too low it'll feel sluggish - so spend some time on that. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Thank You for posting your review. I am currently building an entire new video editing system, with the heart of the new setup, being a base model Mac Mini M4. I of course, also want a good mouse to go with it. The MX MASTER 3S definitely ticks all the boxes in my books.
It's been solid for years! I haven't found anything better yet. Thanks for watching and the comment! Make sure you adjust the settings both in the app, and in the OS to find that sweet spot for you.
Do you have any problems with lag when switching devices? I bought it a week ago and I'm having problems with lag and stuttering on my Windows PC, which only improved when I used an extender to place the dongle very close to the mouse. Connecting directly to the PC's Bluetooth makes it even worse. I haven't had this type of problem with other wireless mice, even the simplest ones. I'm not sure if this multi-connection will work properly because I'm already having problems connecting to just one PC via the dongle.
I would love to know the settings you have regarding tracking/pointing speed and DPI, both in the Logi Options app and in the System Settings Mouse section. There are many, many people who report sluggish or erratic pointer behavior with this mouse in macOS, and I've experienced it too. Something doesn't feel quite right, especially when going back to a Windows box and using it. It feels "slippery" and imprecise in macOS, and it's driving me crazy.
I have pointer speed set to 1000 DPI in Logi Options+, and the Mac OS settings / mouse tracking speed set closer to slow (4th notch in) - that is a nice balance for accuracy and natural responsiveness for me. Other settings are double click speed is set pretty fast (not fully) and scroll set one notch closer to slow. I hope this helps a bit because the mouse for me is one of the best! Thanks for watching and the question!
I was expecting it this past fall, but they released the Mx consoles. So this spring is the earliest I expect it to come out. I hope it does, this one will feel long in the tooth by then. Though I don’t really know what they can add to it to make it better 🤷 Thanks for watching and the comment!
Short answer, no. The closest thing to an issue was Logi Options would update, I had to do it manually downloading it from the website, but it never interrupted the functions of the mouse. Once the buttons are set I don't open the software. Thanks for watching and the comment Carl!

thanks for the tip very much appreciated!
I have the original with that beautiful copper accents like yours and I love it. FYI I like the clicky sounds over the silent sound of the 3S.

How do I install the mouse software on MacBook?
You think they'll release a new generation 4s anytime soon?

Is there any slightly cheaper alternative to mx master 3s?
@@rohitquat there’s a 2s, which is similar minus a few features like the silent clicking and some other things, but is decently cheaper.
It's the mouse laggy on macos? Or it is smooth and precise?
