You don't have to worry about reaching anything with the handy gnat. You can chill at your base with all your resources and pilot your handy gnat out to build, and it pulls from any chests that are within range of your character

Fireplace wall is the best to build this out of. Not only does it look nice but you can snap it all together. Doesn’t require perfect placement and will not knock you away from the wall like all other walls.

I would recommend the mushroom walls, because they can be made in large amounts relatively quickly with minumum materials & don't require messing around with the pallets as you build.
If you're making this in a pre-NG+ Survival world where you wouldn't have a Handi-Gnat, this will probably be the easiest way to do it, unless you want to make one of these very early in the game & are forced to use grass as a result.
I agree that mushroom bricks are the easiest resource to build with, i prefer not to build with the handy gnat as i find it makes building to easy.
@@Badwolfpg I'm not at the point where I can use it yet [started in Survival, after all], but I get the feeling it will make building verticle structures much less frustrating than it currently is.
As things stand, my current building efforts have been limited to ground level structures precisely because building all the scaffolding necessary to build upwards is a right pain in the Gnass.🤣

So great video i made the elevator and it works great I then started tweaking the build and found bounce pad on every floor works amazing and then I enclosed the wall that you run up into a very small square tube basically and if now if you run into the corner it works perfectly no pushback and flys up

Thanks for the video! I realized where I screwed up when trying to build one in the past - I assumed that the trampoline had to stick out of the wall and I kept getting launched backwards

Probably would advise you to await attempting this until NG+1. You will get the option to utilize the handy gnat, which makes building much easier and efficient use of time, not needing to be precise with your characters position, have the resources next to your character and the gnat can build away ;) I spent a lot of time making such towers (not as good mind) but more parkoury :D Now in NG+1, ready to go to 2, I spot some telepotty's which will be rather useful. The dynamics of the game nicely evolve from those first weeks, goes a bit quiet and then NG+ nicely boosts some aspects... and it seems that the futher NG+'s will reveal some new things too :) Happy grounding ;)

This may be a silly question but is handy gnat a custom feature or part of the base vanilla experience?
@@no_u_420 its what they 'update' in the latest update, opening up a feature which was otherwise only available in custom mode. So now, when you go into one of your menus when you want to build, you will see a tiny extra command you can press which ever key it states, to utilize Handy Gnat . Its not so obvious to be honest, but not everything is in Grounded!

I'm just about to remix, where do you get the gnat on NG+ do you need to unlock it, or it's on NG+ as standard?
Nice, I've been wondering how to do this. Will be a pain to make for me though since it's going to be my tower with ziplines everywhere, and thus will need to be veeeeery tall.
Yeah that's how I've made my zip line tower with a bounce web made it very tall so I could get to everything in the garden lol 😁

OMG! I am going to build these everywhere with the top one at a angle so I can watch insects go flying around the map.

you don't need bounce webs you can just make a pillar of grass walls walk into it and jump and it will launch you up sure you can't get down without taking fall damage but you can just bring a tuft on you

Seriously wish they included some form of pulley crank system for an elevator. Like off of Abe’s Odyssey, if anyone played that game. Atleast someone’s thought of a work around.

How do you hold 43 grass planks ?
You need the intern badge, fluffy pupa hat, red ant arm guards and the hauling hero mutation, you can wear the red ant shin guards to bring it upto 46 carry weight, ill make a video if your interested 😊

Everytime I try making bounce things were you go up the wall like that it never works right it always bounces me away from the wall.
You have to make sure the bounce web is level otherwise it will always bounce you to one side or another
Anyone attempted to make this sloped upwards and forwards? Could make a tunnel over part of the map in theory...

So how does one get down without dandelion tufts since they are single use now
The fluffy dandelion tuft is a trinket which you can get at random by cutting down the dandelion stem, when its Equipped you can glide unlimited .

No this the base game in survival.
@@Badwolfpg If you make it to new game plus 1 you unlock handy gnat making builds far easier so no more going back and forth and instead have 4 tier 2 pallets and go crazy cutting grass.
Yeah I have thought about it, I just worry that it might make building too easy lol 😆.

I'm a new solo player, how do you get a hammer level 2? I can't break mint :(
To get the Insect hammer your going to need, 4 Stinkbug parts, 4 berry leather and 1 boiling gland which you get from the bombardier beetle, hope that helps 😊.

Yes it still works, but it can be a bit fiddly to place the bounce webs.
