Absolutely epic flight. I had a look on various sites and I think we're potentially the first that have Kleinmond > Betty's Dunes > Kleinmond. One for the books, dude.
It seems so! WJ told be someone has done it starting from Betties, but I don't think anyone has done it from Kleinmond! And even then it didn't look like they made the final crossing to jeans hill. Nice one dude👌
@@Matt_Ashwell my dude, can't tell you how happy it makes me to hear that. We will fly together again, I'm sure about that. Keep rocking man. Say howzit to your pops for me.
Australian pilot hoping to fly in Cape Town in February 2024, Just to ridge soar a portion of what you did would be awesome. Are the take-offs easy to get to? As a solo pilot, I have to think about someone to pick me up. But as I am an old guy 67 flying 25 years still inspired to try new places. Thanks for the inspiration
Hey man, you'll love it here. The majority of the takeoffs in the western cape are accessible by car. However there are several that are only accessible with a short hike of around 10 mins, Lions Head and this site included. Regarding pick ups, it costs about 40AUD to hire a recovery driver for the full day. If you find a few other pilots to join you, you can can split the costs and it becomes very affordable. Hope this helps :)
Very nice edit Matt and nice flying. Your voice quality was so clear on this flight, how did you get it so clear? Did you have an external mic set up? How do you muffle out the wind noice from the camera?
Epic flight! Well done man.
Amazing flight and well documented!
LOVE it, thanks for sharing, looks sick. Hoping to come visit ZA next year, maybe you can guide me. Chill
Yeah buddy! Looking forward to send some with you when I’m back in the mothercity!

Thanks WJ! Just that GoPro magic ;) No mic's or special settings at all, just straight forward record and talk💯
