I've only flown Waboom once, but keen to do it again when it's working. It's really hard to get away & into the Tankwa, but it's just incredible once you're there.
Greg, You are an inspiration, I’ve just finished my elementary course and now going onto my club pilot course and I love you content you are sharing. Keep it up , always looking for guidance when learning. 🙏
I love the combination of paragliding and story telling qualities that your videos have, mixed in with a bit of education here and there. The best paragliding content on youtube by far.
Thanks jarvis, it usually starts with a pile of random footage and I think ..ugh, what was I thinking .. it takes some time to work it into something watchable. I'm glad it comes alive for you!
Just when I thought id seen all the spacious places. Thanks Greg for flying it. You made it look easy but well explained why it was an advanced challenge.
Loved sharing the adventure with you Greg, I have my eye on a few more interesting launches for next year! Thank you for your positive vibes and capturing it all so beautifully!
Thank you very kindly for ANOTHER great video. Greg, I notice you are STILL using your trusty Skytraxx 2.1, would it be too much to ask if you could do a NEW video discussing why you still love and trust it. We know you have access to any gear... so this is ULTRA intriguing and as I am learning XC I don't want to fall for all the new whistles... I like minimalism and reliable gear. Thank you
Awesome. I’m hoping to do some XC in Mojave desert this fall. Looks amazing, getting crazy high and flying flat lands. There’s something special about thermals over the flats.
Hi Greg, Great Video!! One thing puzzles me, (which I have seen in other videos so it must be me falling behind the eight ball) But from lets sat 14:40mins in you showed a VERY STABLE video pointing in ONE direction whilst it looked like you did a 360 turn. Now the camera seemed to me to be OUTSIDE of the risers So please keep me up to date on how the #@?!# did you do THAT?!!!
I have a pet fairy that I throw out when I want an epic shot :-) it's just what the 360 camera software can do, it removes the pole from view. You either lock the view on the pilot, or the horizon.
Amazing stuff. I've always been vaguely interesting in paragliding but now I live in a good area for it I've taken a closer look and you've really inspired me to give it a try this year! Would love to meet you one day. Cheers from Austria!
just short of 100, we only started around midday because it's a south face (shaded) and then I bombed out. 200 is very possible, and MUCH further on the right day. You have to not care about the roads and go with the wind, which is fairly committing 🙂
Hey Greg , where do i get the red and blue plastic thingies on top of your break handles ? I am assuming they are really helpful while flying with thick gloves?
You can learn advanced XC tactics in the flight debrief over in my Flight Academy 🦅 flywithgreg.com/programs/xc-performance-debrief

Just like life, sometimes you don't make it on the first go, but if you don't keep trying you'll never make it.
Great video as always, Greg. Fly safe.
