Hello Cory. This video series means a lot to me. When I was young I lived in poverty and family, friends and neighbors also helped me create my first home. People like you and your husband are precious.. ❤
This is what family is about. I'm so happy for all the donations and how great it all came together.
What a gift you have given your SIL. Family is everything. Im sure she appreciates all you & your family have helped her with.
Thank you! And we appreciate her as well
Wow you guys knocked it outta the park! Love the faux wood grain. Also, it rarely gets mentioned your comments because we’re all so impressed with the makeovers you do, but your video filming and editing is absolutely top notch!
Im choking back the tears seeing all the love you guys put into this house. It's no longer just a house. It's now a HOME ❤️
Beautiful!!! It was very nice of you two to furnish your sister-in-law's house for her. Also, wonderful of all the nice and caring people that donated. God bless.
It really wasn't
It was AWFUL!
Her own house is 1000 times better
How kind of you and your husband help his sister!❣️ She is lucky to have y'all. That's what families do, help and love each other. It was a fantastic job. The pozole looked very tasty! 😊 ❤
You and your husband are simply amazing may God continue blessing you and your family 😊
This under consumption trend is popular, but most people live their lives like this. I'm not in bad shape financially, but 90% of our furniture and clothing is second hand.
Your love and kindness shines through for your sister-in-law. I’d love to watching all your elegance, Grace and thoughtfulness. You and your husband rocked it.
You both really show such self sacrificing love! A lot of times the female does all of the cleaning & work, but I am extremely impressed with your husband. From start to finish, everyone, even donaters all stepped up! So great to see
I thought the same. Love sharing in this act of service and family support
This brought tears to my eyes, your SIL will always remember your love and care and the way you made her and her family feel.Family is everything.Sending love and kind wishes to all of you from New Jersey.
This was a wonderful gift to your sister in-law and her family. Everything looks outstanding.❤😊
I have absolutely enjoyed this video series! You and your husband are amazing, and it’s great your SIL fed you guys as you worked! As a single mom who has benefited in the past from family doing these things for me, as well as doing this for others, it’s so important everybody has a serving their fellow man/woman spirit in their heart!
I loved this series. So many people think you need new to make a cute home. You showed them otherwise!
This is my first time watching your videos, and I'm so glad I found you. That was such an amazing, loving thing you and your husband did for your sister in law. It looks really nice. I'm almost 70 years old living in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Hopefully I'll find a free soda and love seat, been that last year there was a flood in my area and my furniture was damaged. Thank you for sharing some of your many great ideas!
I loved this series because I always wanted to update old pieces and make them beautiful . This was before YT existed and I didn't have the know how to do it. I now have renewed confidence to turn trash into treasure. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge through easy how-to videos. ❤❤❤❤
Such a blessing to have a Brother/SIL like yourselves; awesome work 👏🏾
Y'all did a fantastic job! She's very lucky to have a sister like you!❤
Oh, Cory! It's wonderful! What makes it the most beautiful is all the love that went into making this house a home!
I totally agree! Thank you. We had so much fun
Yes
Wow!! You and Manny did an awesome job getting her set up in their new home!! I can't believe hpw generous people were with donations!!
That is what the Lord wants us to do….serve one another and love! The Lord bless you and your family. It came out excellent…good job❤
Opposing opinions can be given in a respectful, tasteful manner. Some however have a negative vibe to them and are totally unnecessary. Cory, I think you and your family did an amazing job! Every one contributed in their own way & those contributions came from the heart! That is what family is all about! You all are truly lucky and blessed!💕
I couldn't agree more! It is always so hard to understand how people can be so mean, especially on the internet. And for no reason at all. Thank you!!!
Bear in mind that when one asks for an opinion, one cannot complain if one gets it. If you did not want negative feedback, then you should not have asked for feedback. To only ask for positive feedback seems very much like an ego trip.
I can appreciate the spirit in which you gave your time and energy to help people that are dear to you. I can also appreciate and admire the upcycling of furniture and decor. I can also understand that whatever you have done was done taking into account the family's personal style and needs. Having said that, you can also understand that the end result is not to everyone's taste.
When you post on a public forum you open yourself up to negative and even rude, harsh comments. It goes with the territory.
When you are confident in your work and in yourself, like it seems you are, it does not matter whether people you do not know or care for, like your work or not.
Some content cteators actually welcome rude, harsh comments, because it creates a buzz and a lot of views of their channel and that in turn leads to more comments. This impacts the algorithm and drives more traffic to their channel and directly increases ad revenue. So not is not all bad. As content creator you surely know this.
This video is getting a lot of attention so I will take a minute to explain my stance on the rude comments.
I am not on the bandwagon of "any attention is good attention". I also don't agree with the whole "well you put it on the internet so its okay for people to be mean to you about it" idea. That is ridiculous thinking. We need to do better. What adults do on the internet sets the tone for our children's generation. I choose to believe that how you would act in person is how you should act online. While I am working on my projects in my driveway, people don't walk up to me and say "you ruined that! That looks horrible! You have no idea what you're doing. You couldn't pay me enough to put that in my house"...Because it would be crazy to do that/say that to someone. If I asked someone, "what do you think of this project" in person, if they didn't like it they would let me know in a respectful way. Not condescending or intentionally hurtful.
I have absolutely no problem with people letting me know that something I did wasn't their style or giving feedback that is actually helpful. I have tons of comments on each video and many of them tell me honestly that they didn't really like something and that is totally ok. In fact, it helps me to make better content if I see that there were several people who didn't like something I did. I ask my viewers for their opinions as friends. All I expect, is for the feedback to be respectful as if we were talking in person. Yes, this is my job and having engagement is good for the algorithm, but I work hard to make sure this is a place for creative people to come and communicate with each other and share ideas in a friendly way. We have enough negativity in this world, and I won't let my channel be just another place where people have to see someone being cruel online. If that means I get less engagement, so be it. Thankfully, its very rare now for me to get the crazies commenting on here.
So when you guys see people leaving mean comments- report them, and let me know so I can block them. We don't want jerks here. There is a difference between giving feedback and insulting someone. Its not rocket science haha!
Thank you all very much for being here and for having made my channel a really positive, caring place for creative folks to hang out. I have seen many friendships grow from here and I hope to see many more. We all have it in us to be kind to each other (and you don't have to agree with someone in order to be kind).
What great gifts!!! So generous and kind of you and Manny!!!!
SIL is so blessed to have y’all do this for her family.
Just would like to share to help with some rules of thumb in interior design. Especially bc you create some gorgeous redos. When installing rods for window treatments. A rule is mount the rods at least 3 inches above the window, 3 inches wider also on both sides of the width of the window. Plus if you want to make a room appear to be larger mount the rods above the window as high to the ceiling without the top of the window treatment hitting the ceiling.
Agreed.
This will not work as the curtains were not custom made for the windows. If the curtain rods were mounted higher, the curtain length would be too short. So as a general rule of thumb, yes. When you work with thrifted items you are limited by what you have.
I t turned out so warm and cozy. I have a family member who is amazing at thrifting and garage saling who has furnished multiple homes for her grown kids likewise. Being able to do this is a real talent.
Love the fact that you thrifted her house. Amazing what can be done when you set your mind to it, great finds, and great people giving you things. Gorgeous!
That is the cutest tiered tray ever. I would put a curtain over that pantry to make it look neater and less cluttered. You and Manny are wonderful people
Definitely a labor of love ! Everything was just perfect. I enjoyed your journey.
That’s wonderful what you did for family!!🥰
That is such a sweet gift that you gave your sister in law. Y’all did a great job and worked so hard.
I've enjoyed watching the whole process of this amazing make-over 👍🏽🥰, you did a really great job. Repurposing furniture is such a brilliant idea & saves thousands of dollars 💰. I wish your Sister-in-law & her little family 🙏🏽 many blessings in their new home 🏡 thank you for taking us with you & showing us all step by step. You & your Husband are very talented. Also to all the wonderful people who donated & gave from their hearts ❤ thank you for helping this happen. Kindness is so powerful" & when it comes from unconscious thoughts... It's blessed 🙏🏽
I loved this series. It made me remember the first home my Husband and I furnished. Thank you.
You two are such a fantastic force for good. What a lovely thing you have done. And, good on the people in the community that donated. That is a lovely home you all have created. The celebration dinner looks absolutely delicious. Wishing the best for all of you.
Loved this series so much for so many reasons. Just warms the heart. Love everything you did and I am sure they will feel so at home and be very happy there because of you and your husband's efforts. I love your videos and am always looking forward to the next one! ❤❤❤

Loved how it all turned out such a loving family❤
You are so kind, thank you!
What a blessing to have you'll to help your SIL. Loved the way it turned out.
I absolutely love the way everything came together! I love the beautiful colors and I think it’s fantastic to reuse and repurpose everything (as well as thrifting). It’s good for the wallet, great for the environment and looks incredible. It’s so cozy and inviting!!! I hope everyone takes inspiration from this video! 😊❤
Thank you so much!
Wonderful!! ❤ Just an fyi....i have those round placemats....I refinished an antique table, and I realized those placemats ended up scraping off the stain. I now have to resand it, restain, and reseal.
Oh wow!
So thankful for your existence. You touch my heart.
After I watched the other episodes, I would hardly wait to see the reveal. It did not disappoint! What a wonderful finish to a great series, and if you decide to do another, I am here for it. Well done to you and Manny; blessings to your entire family! ❤
What a great start for this family! I would just move the couches away from the walls to make it easier for conversation and either use the play rug to center it around or move the play rug to the corner with some toys. You and your husband put in a lot of work; you should be proud of what you accomplished!
That's a great idea! Thank you
It is definitely a home now. What a sweet and selfless thing to do!!
You and your husband did a wonderful job cleaning up and furnishing your sister’s home.. you both are a true inspiration to many people. I know she will never forget the help she needed to start her life in her new home furnished with love. God Bless ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Looks nice. She’s lucky to have you two as family. Maybe down the road, you can add an area rug, coffee table and another end table by the loveseat. It all takes time & of course, money. I enjoy your videos every time I watch them. ❤
Such a sweet gesture you did for her family. They will never forget this act of kindness. Looks great!
You did a great job. she has everything she needs. Over time she will make it perfect. Little bits and pieces that make your house a home.

I can't believe how well the wood grain comes through on that Credenza, black paint is trending currently.
I know your kindness was so appreciated. I could tell you really care about your SIL. Just a suggestion. I’d love to see the EAT sign painted green. I think it would make the other green items pop. It’s all beautiful.
What a blessing you and Manny are! The house looks beautiful! Your sister-in-law has a lovely setting to live in. It was wonderful that so many caring people donated items for your project. Blessings on you and Manny.
Corie...What a blessing you and Manny gave to your extended family! I watched the entire series and loved seeing the decor items you found at Goodwill and also the ones you were "gifted" by helpful community members. Bravo!! Have a great week and stay cool! 🙏🙏💖💖💖💖

Sooooo Wonderful!!❤ Had a warm cozy feeling in my heart for all that All of you did!! Nice lived in feeling❤❤❤ I was a young Mom with 3 “little ducks” and so a happy that y’all incorporated the kids things into the living room!! ❤ I used to sing a song when it was “pick up toys” time & sang their names!! My living room at the time was literally a smaller than my bedroom so had to be organized!! I Loved it!! Had a big large window with 2 on the side to let the breeze in!! Know everything can be hectic with young kiddos but sooo enjoy them!!!❤
I love that you were able to do this for your sister-in-law. It turned out really good. I know she was thrilled.
You took an empty house and turned it into a home for your sister-in-law and her family great job 👏 and how delicious did the food look 😋
By blessing your sister in law with generous kindness you bless us too!
Wow, it looks so nice. What a great thing to do for family. I did something similar for my son when he got his first place. Family hand me downs and yard sale finds. It was a lot of fun and his place turned out great.
It’s lovely that you are all very close. You’ve made a beautiful job of her home and I’m sure she will always be grateful for your help xx

Wow ❤ looks great (and so did the food 😋). You all made this move a lovely family occasion, which probably made it far less stressful and much more rewarding than the usual move. ❤ they are all settled in.
Your sister in law is so blessed to have you both in her life. You have an amazing heart 🎉
Thank you so much! We are lucky to have her too
WOW and WOW!! It came together so beautifully 💛🧡🤎. I can only imagine the joy, gratitude and love that Manny's sister and family felt and I bet there were some tears of joy all around. I remember my first apartment back in 1980, that my mother-in-law helped me furnish with garage sale items and second hand. We were so very grateful and so very proud. I still love to furnish my home with garage sale items thrift store items and marketplace items also I love to shop for clothes that way too. Even if I could afford to buy new I would rather go secondhand The thrill of the hunt and also the sustainability of it. You know how much I love you add your channel and I so enjoy watching everything you do. You are awesome girl!!!!💛🧡🤎
Beautiful. I’m sure your sister in law was thrilled with the end result. What a blessing for you both.
The transformation to a cozy family home is wonderful! You put in a lot of hours to make it beautiful. The food looks so good! Thanks for sharing the journey!!
I do love it, with the exception of the open closet filled with plastic baskets. Otherwise, yay! So nice of you, too.
Love the red & black color scheme. Nice red lamp.♥️
Beatiful home, nice and cozy for her family! The menudo looks delicious!
You and your husband did a good job, May God bless you all.
Thank you so much!
A wonderful gift for your family!!! Turned out great!
You and your hubby are really good people, so refreshing to see and know! Pretty place to call home.
I loved it! You guys did such an amazing job and most of it was with thrifted items. I love that you guys are minimizing your foot print on this earth.
What a special blessing! God bless you!
