This car looks pretty much perfect. I've never been a fan of Ford but they absolutely nailed this design!
My "earliest" visit to a new Savagegeese video! And SO good, as always.
Very true about off roading on a course vs actually venturing in the back country for camping/fishing/mountain biking or whatever it might be, that's when it's fun
Amazing the qualitiy presentation you got out of that short time available. Looks like a wild ride.
Weird that I’ve been watching this channel for 8 years now and went from watching for FR-S impressions and now want an Ford Bronco because of you. I didn’t see myself as a Ford guy or an SUV guy!
Sounds good for a 4-popper. (Unless I misunderstood and it was the V6 on the road.)
As a Jeep Rubicon JLU owner, I must say, I think the Bronco looks fantastic. Chevy’s Blazer is basically a boring airport rental car that I’d be stuck with on a business trip, while the Bronco is something I’d love to take on a off-road trip somewhere.
I'd paint it up in the Jurassic Park colours!
I don’t think there was a Bronco in any of the Jurassic parks, but I could be wrong. I’ll always love those iconic Explorer and Wrangler colors though!!
Oh man this would make some Wrangler fans very upset.
I have a 2021 ZR2, and after seeing that 2 tone interior with the brown...I want that in my truck! I had a 204 Ranger FX4 for 13 years. I'd still be driving it if the frame hadn't rusted out. At my age, I still like simple interiors. No push button start, big television screen, or so many lights it looks a Christmas tree on start up. My wife and I are on 100 acres here, and we go off road and check the property. Front locker, rear locker, lets go. I will admit this Bronco looks and appears to do everything as advertised. I hope to see one soon, I want to see it in person! Great vid!
In the words of Count Dooku: "I'VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS."
Seriously glad you brought the Jungle Power ad back, I honestly love that bit.
I'm surprised by their take on the power, in the Ranger the 2.3 is a beast. Must be geared differently in the Bronco, or is a big old heffer
They probably only had regular gas in there
Me too. The torque and 300hp of the 2.3 will be the most I've ever had in a vehicle. I think I'll be happy with it.
Bronco is about 300-500 lbs heavier. 2.3 is a beast. I don't see why it wouldn't move the Bronco. Considering Jeep uses a 2.0
@@ShersGarage Their comparison was in reference to the available 3.6L Naturally Aspirated Pentastar V6, though. Larger displacement and no forced air is going to be a recipe to have the vehicle "feel" like there's tons of immediate torque. I think the 2.3 in the Bronco will be adequate, but the 2.7L V6 with 10 speed automatic seems like a winner. It's relatively powerful vs. competitors even in the 1/2 ton full size truck market.
@@joshuapisani1853 3.6 has less power on paper. Also loses power in higher altitudes. Though Jeep is lighter, so that helps. 2.3 has most of its torque down low but starts to lose juice in higher rpms. I could see this difference when Ford went to 2.3 in the Explorer. It doesn't seem to have much torque higher up compared to 3.5. But definitely feels zippy going around town.
Nothing but love for the balls and the design from Ford! Bring it to Europe pls!!!🙏🏻💪🏻
"Not the base model" lmao
Blown away with your quality and detail. Thanks for sharing this with the world!
"The wrangler has been proven..." Ye proven to be unreliable lmao
its a jeep thing you wouldn't understand
It's actually been proven to be relatively reliable over the past two generations.
@@Dwealdric lmao ok. I would never own a jeep solely because of the mechanical problems they have. Everyone I know who's owned one has complained.
Jeep has been making wranglers non stop since the beginning of time. If you think Ford can just jump back in the game without issues you’re a fool
Peoples who’s jeeps are “unreliable” don’t know how to build or take care of a car
Thanks as alway Mark and Jack for your unparalled technical expertise and superb video. I'm not the target demo but for those who are, bravo Ford.
Now Ford just has to give the same interior treatment to the Mustang.....
S650 is in development
What treatment is that? "Extra Plastic" ?
As an S550 Bullitt owner, that would be awesome and I would be looking to add an S650, probably going to be the last V8, too...
Yes. Yes Yes. The Mustang's interior is bad for the price point. drop 60k on Mach 1 and you cant help but feel screwed
@@yanboa Treatment like the F-150. I can't understand why the Mustang as their halo car get's such a cheap interior compared to the F-150 which is their halo truck. I don't know how panel gaps are on other US vehicles from Ford because i live in Europe and only got a 2006 Fiesta ST and a 2010 Mustang GT that had excellent panel gaps and only one misalignment in the interior on the passenger side dash where iirc the airbag is supposed to pop out and only fingernail sized spot on the hood paint wise.
But for the price it should have way better quality control.
And what's bad on extra plastic if it's done right. You are acting as if none of the luxury cars has any plastics. Even BMWs and VW look cheap nowadays.
I will not be an early adopter, but in the next 2-3 years we are getting a wrangler or bronco for a fun car. You guys influenced us to get the Palisade. You will help us decide on this once you get time with it. Appreciate the critical and honest reviews.
Dont know how reliable the engine and electronics are. I love manual trans myself. I think you could buy this bronco hose out cheap spec. 35 / 37 k and drive it 5 to ten years and not suffer a huge depreciation.
Not sure its price or how cheap you can spec the 4 door with manual and 4 cyl engine.
If modern fords were reliable, I would order one of these, but I can’t pull the trigger without seeing some long term tests. Last thing you want in a overland vehicle is it breaking down 50 miles away from the nearest road.
@@Achtzehn83 My first car was an Explorer Sport that I got to 345k, mysecond was a newer Buick LeSabre that ate shit at 180k, so I have an inherit bias for Ford as my current Mustang is at 130k and running like a top.
This is like the 65 mustang of our time. Its something people wanted and finally got.
I look forward to the next Ranger. Love the Bronco so far, but not having the ability to tow my track car is a bummer.
Here's hoping they offer the manual...
I can't believe I missed these guys when they were in Austin!
Dude same! 😭
Now I understand why I saw some 2d broncos driving around though.
@@tealruby1 It would have been so awesome to meet the Goose man!
They flew in and out in 24 hours and literally had to spend that entire time picking up their gear, filming, taking back gear, and flying out. They had mentioned that on their podcast because stuff like this makes them miserable but alas, unless more people subscribe with the way UA-cam does it's metrics they only way they can afford to keep this channel going is to keep up a burnout pace without more people signing up. Hence, do your part, get more viewers, and maybe next time they can spend more time in Austin.
The Bronco looks and performs so much better with the KO2s. The Goodyears caked up with mud on the Bronco, and struggled to evacuate and maintain traction. Had to engage the lockers more than I expected to. With the KO2s, never had those problems.
I’m looking forward to seeing your fully in depth review on the new Bronco. I think Ford absolutely knocked it out of the park with this new body-on-frame Bronco. If only Ford can execute most of their other products just as well as this vehicle (With the exception of the F-150).
What is the 0-60 time for the 2 door with the manual?
Great video as always!
Countdown to first Coyote Swap video on UA-cam.
Waiting for the safety tests results and braking distance. Ford has had a lot of true 5 star safety cars from IIHS. Hopefully braking is competitive too, it’s stellar in the Bronco Sport (escape).
The Jeep Wrangler is proven but not for it’s great reliability!!
They aren't that unreliable.
@@314jeepsnmopars3 the new ones really are.

@@bigmarkdarula I think the two percent or .01% will call driving on the winery’s gravel driveway “off roading”. In my neck of the woods I see a few Jeeps bought as a third vehicle for flexing fun by the wine moms. I walk by their recycling bins and note the multiple bottles. 😂
@Harry James Pleat Thankfully, my local Panera parking lot doesn't have speed bumps, so I can safely negotiate it in my Mustang and don't need the mall-crawling capabilities of a New Bronco or JL Wrangler to drive on it. ;)

So Ridiculous
85+% will go 'off-road' by driving over curbs of planted medians.
I am curious to know more about the engine/transmission setup you're testing here. I had a 2020 ford ranger with the same engine and it was not slow by any means. I have also driven a wrangler with the pentestar and it was absolutely stuck in honey all the time. Not sure how one could conclude that the jeep engine is better, but I may eat my words when my bronco arrives. But as far as the numbers go, to say that the 2.3l turbo "doesn't have the torque of the jeep 2.0l" is simply incorrect.
The guy from Edmunds was also skeptical of the 4 cylinder/manual combo while driving it.
I genuinely hope these come to South Africa
I think there's a reasonable chance of it, given its global architecture roots. It would be very useful in so many places.
It will, but why? Toyotal LC is the most reliable vehicle in the planet :D
@@mannyechaluce3814 True, it is, but reliability isn't the only thing people consider when they buy a car. Otherwise we'd all be driving Japanese cars.
I walked by one down the street. It was parked near a Mini Cooper.
It was bigger than the Mini, but not much.
Looks great, like you said who’s knows how it’s going to be long term. Great vid guys, waiting for the extended version.
There's not much reason to believe it won't be as reliable as just about anything else. The idea that first year models are unreliable is an old trope, it hasn't been true (per actual consumer data) for decades.
@@mechmat12345 Tell that you a Toyota 4 runner 🏃♀️ 🏃
For those worried about the 4 banger's power, remember...it's turbo. More power is just a tune away. Personally, mine would be the turbo 4 with a manual and the off-road package. Squatch, I think it was called.

The day has FINALLY come !I've been looking forward to this review for so long.
I can't wait to get mine, but I'm going to wait for the 2nd or 3rd year so they can hammer out the first year gremlins.
That's an old trope that hasn't been true for decades. Actual consumer data shows there is no discernable difference in reliability between first year models and carryover models.
so that's why i saw 4 new Broncos on Lime Creek rd last week !
These things will sell like hotcakes in USA and North America, but not a single person in the rest of the world would want a Ford Bronco over a Toyota Land Cruiser 76/79/150/300.

Ford is doing well with the Bronco and Raptor lineup. Ford is making toys, selling more than cars or pick-ups. It's something that Jeep and Suzuki understand before, with the Wrangler and Jimny
Suzuki, lol. They don't sell Suzuki is the US anymore because they are garbage. Jimny included.

Another great review. Good for Ford. It looks like a hit.
Looks Awesome! I'm not a fan of Ford. Back in 86, my buddy and I both purchased a Ford Bronco II. Less than a year the internal engine rusted out due to a leaking intake manifold gasket. I had my oil changed at the Ford dealership and they showed me all the internal rust pouring out of the engine. Ford issued a recall. I immediately got rid of it and purchased something else. My buddy stuck with it. Within 9 months the engine seized, about 15,000 miles. After $3000 and Ford installed a new engine, it never ran right and he lost his shirt. It was a very long time ago, but you can see why I'm hesitant to purchase a Ford product. But this New Bronco really looks tempting though.
Too bad you can't get the manual with the V6
This vehicle is incredible. Ford is doing so many things well right now with the small and large Bronco line, F150 line, f150 lightning, and Mach E Mustang line.
