That Diamine Vibe behaves much like the Organic Studio Nitrogen and J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor when the surface smudges away. I always enjoy ink and pen pairings. Thanks for sharing!
When I saw the first pen I immediately knew which ink you had chosen to go with it. Noble Fir is one of my favorites from this year's calendar. Sleigh Ride matches perfectly with the Waterman Carene. I don't know if it's the lighting or the paper, but Forest Gateau looks better in this video than the original. Diamine Vibe is gorgeous. Love the dark blue with the red sheen. Pine Needles would be perfect for Christmas cards.
There was great inks this round, I like many of them. Faves probably winterberry and good tidings, but also really enjoyed pine needle and sleigh ride.
Sleigh Ride was my absolute favorite too and plan on getting a bottle when it comes out. I've had most (but not all) in a pen at this point, so after Sleigh Ride my favs are: Chilly Nights AND Noble Fir (Both the Starbright inks had great flow and looked outstanding), Snow Globe, Nutmeg, Pine Needle, and Salted Caramel. Well that's 7 inks, not five but I had trouble making it just five. Vibe Wishing Tree, & Cranberry were very nice too. Disappointments were Wilted Rose (I expected to love it from the sample but the color was always off on all the paper I tried.), Icy Lilac (It was very dry in every pen but so pretty), Marley and Potpourri were the same, pretty but dry. Ah, well, it's been great fun. This was my very first Diamine Inkvent and I'll be getting it for next year too. I hope they have more browns and greens for 2025.
This was my fourth year doing it. I now have so many small Inkvent bottles that I am only using them, and now the Colorvent, ones. I plan to empty some of them this year.
Sleigh Ride with the green sheen is great. I cannot remember whether it was this ink or the Grotto was the one I wanted to get with the green sheen/shading.
I've go Grotto in the ThatPenBloke pen now. I love this combo, I'm now on the third fill. I think I'm going to keep this as a permanent combo and plan to buy a full bottle when they are released.
This would more or less be my list as well. Except, I'd swap out Forest Gateau for Cosmic Glow or Cranberry. They're great! That's weird about Pine Needle in that pen. I have it in my Esterbrook Estie and haven't had any problem with it at all.
@@ZachOwens I need to get the Pine Needle into another pen to try it out, and also need to try a different ink in the pen to see if the nib is the issue.

I so enjoy the Carene and Sleigh Ride. I'm now on my third fill of it. I think I'm going to keep that as my permanent ink for this pen.

Hi Garry: HNY. Would you please tell me why you use the Waski Squirrel grid? Thx

I am sorry I missed the ink you would purchase. Was it Vibe?
It'sSleigh Ride. I would happily say that it's my favourite ink of all the inks I have not just this calendar.
