Your story about stumbling on the Akkerman ink because of your troubles with your Kaweco is so interestingly coincidental to me. I live in Amsterdam, and I just bought my first fountain pen for my daily on-the-go journaling - a Kaweco Sport - at the Amsterdam PW Akkerman store itself! Love seeing some Dutch representation on this list :)
I love several of these. I was surprised how much I enjoy writing with enchanted ocean. Burlywood is another favorite. That natural green is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
All beautiful inks! Thank-you for sharing. I was looking to buy a shimmer blue for 2025 and plan to take my time with ink samples first. There are so many! Enchanted Ocean looks like a very nice one.
It is really nice. I’ve really liked it. Vinta has a great blue shimmer too called Badya that I’ve liked sampling, it has a much lighter blue base that is more like a deep sky blue.
That Vinta ink is so interesting-I didn’t expect so much green in it as it dried. I really like the Vinta inks I have. Tk you for the blue ocean sample. It is a lovely ink.
Vinta Sandugo is one of my favorite inks! The sheen is so well behaved. Have you tried Vinta Karol? I picked up a sample from Vanness for December and it's perfect. It's Sandugo with (slightly less) sheen and added gold shimmer! So beautiful!
I have Burlywood and it is a great shader and the sheen doesn’t over power it at all. I don’t care for sheening inks usually, but that Vinta might be worth a try! A golden sheen could be beautiful!
@@AmberUnfinished I hope you enjoy it if you decide to try it. The sheen as you can see becomes predominant but there’s something about it that I really liked. ☺️
The Colorverse Tex Mex reminds me of one of Pen Chaket’s special Robert Oster inks; unfortunately, I don’t remember the name, but it was one of the inks designed for their state of Arizona. I have a few Akkerman inks and wish that I had gotten a red before they went up in price; it’s one of the 120 ml inks. But I do love Akkerman inks! I often wonder if there’s truth to the rumor that they’re made by Diamine. I believe that I discovered my favorite inks prior to 2024, lol. I sometimes think that I should use them up, but then I would be tempted to buy another as I am the Vinta Sikatuna Sandugo 1565; I just love this ink!
@@gailsbookishthings5191I have Lievens Kardinaal Paars; Koninginne Nach-Blauw; Simplisties Violet; and Diep Duinwater Blauw. I don’t remember what the red was in the 120 ml bottle that I liked the sample of, and there was a 120 mo bottle of a light blue, Israel’s zeeblauw, maybe, that I once had a sample of that I liked.
This was a refreshing take on the "Inks of the Year" videos. Lovely selection of inks I haven't seen anywhere else yet. ❤
Thank you! That makes me very happy to hear. 😊

You’re welcome and thank you for your comments.
It’s fun to know we share some favorites. 😊
My first shimmer ink was Diamine's Enchanted Ocean. The bottle is close to empty now. One of my favorite inks. Good choice.
@@litaartis2924 Thanks! I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit. It’s always satisfying to get an empty bottle, isn’t it?😁
what a lovely video! glad you floated across my recommended feed!
@@vee7586 Thank you for saying so…glad to know you enjoyed it. ☺️
A great assortment of colors . I’m looking forward to trying the ink samples you sent me !
