As soon as I’m done with work, I come right here to watch a nice review by Joe and relax a bit. It’s my daily medicine to today’s crazy world. Cheers from Ohio
hey Marc! Thanks for letting me make things a little better!
@@RaitisRides thank you for all the fun and the awesome reviews!

From Ohio as well and traded in my 2020 Accord Sport 2.0T for this exact same TLX ASpec! It’s an awesome car. Couldn’t get the red seats. Cabin at night is incredible. Huge difference in ride quality compared to the Accord. Cheers.
I've always loved Acuras because of their performance, style, features, and reasonable pricing. Lately though, Kia and Hyundai have done to the automotive industry what Acura and Lexus did in the late 80's / early 90's.
if you think kia and hyundai has a single car that looks better than this TLX you're on some nice stuff bud

damn, that car is beautiful. That black is perfect for that car. It's rare that I love the interior and exterior of a car. I have a q60, making me wanna trade in.
I am so glad that you like this one.
You will instantly regret unless you do not care about performance overall but since you own a q60 I doubt that is the case. If i was in your shoes i would not consider for a second trading the q60 for this. Maybe the Type S assuming it lives up to the hype. But I would keep that q60 overall the Acura. Good looking car but performance is blah. Think there is better out there for the money.
hell nah. love this acura though
You can't be serious.

My wife finds 0.0% amusement whenever we’re walking together and I scream “on throttle!”
She doesn't sound like a team player...
You are probably not saying loud enough.
Maybe it's because you're walking? Try it when you're driving and see what happens...and make sure you're driving hard.
Next time you're walking with her, try using using another approach. As you're walking announce out loudly " Thhhhissssss is my wife and today we're going to discuss her quirks and features"
Maybe you should say it when your “knockin’ boots” instead of when walking. Context matters...

Way better than the NSX in my opinion. The NSX interior needs a desperate update and it NEEDS to look something similar to this if not even better considering it's a super car.
I think I am about 95% certain I will be buying a 2021 A-Spec next spring. Acura will have to offer me some good financial incentives to buy a Type S. I think they will have some good offers on the A-Spec after the Type S is released.

The old Acura’s were great too. Acura has always been solid.
I have a acura and acura never dissapoints with their cars and my RDX really shines.
I love the murdered out look, I kinda wish the break calipers were painted red to contrast with the A-spect badge. I would have blacked out the all the other badges. With the power to weight ratio I feel a car that weighs that must the engine should put out at least 300 horse power. But overall I go like the car.
That would be really nice! Great points1
Yea we all know red brake calipers equal 15+ hp 💀
why do we still have generic looking brake calipers lol they paint them gray i think so why not paint them at least black if not different shaped ones
There is an accessory package to black out the emblems
Well it has the same engine as the civic type R. That means you have options to ensure that 300+ HP.
I wish the wheels could have been little more better like the accord sport ... it’s a bad beast for the type S
I agree with you 100%
I thought the same thing the first time watching this video, but then watched it a second time and now I think those are the cleanest stock honda wheels now. I don't like machined aluminum shiny wheels, and that's mostly all honda oem wheels.

Just bought one same as shown!! Amazing ride! A week in and I’m in love!
Just bought a metallic grey one this week with black interior. Handles like a dream. The turbo four is a bit under powered for the weight of the car, but not enough that I wouldn’t buy it, but there should have been an option of the normally aspirated V6 instead of having to go to the Type S to get the turbo V6. The touch pad instead of a touch screen takes a bit of getting used to. All in all a quality well built ride.
I ended up buying it last night. I did not drive the A-SPEC AWD the first time. I drove the A-SPEC AWD yesterday twice and bought it last night. Metal steel gray with red leather interior. Car looks hot. Going to miss the Hemi power but I am happy with this one.
Congrats!
Definitely has enough power for the daily driver. I was actually surprised how quick it is off the line in sport mode. Feels more like a V6.
Joe, nice review! In the past 2 weeks, I test drove this, along with a Genesis G70 3.3T, Mercedes AMG A35 and handing back my Lexus IS 350 F sport next month and have to say, the Genesis G70 is the front runner. That TLX is beautiful, and has so many great qualities but they shouldn't have "detuned" the Civic R 2.0, they should have added to it. Over 4,000 lbs I could feel it whining to power it. 0-60 in 6.5 is slow for today's sport sedan enthusiasts. Most people that can afford it will gladly wait for the engine this car needs, the Type S with the V6. I will wait for the Type S before signing on the dotted line for the G70, but for those looking around and never considered that "Hyundai" as an option, give it the beans in sport mode and it'll put a smile on your face every time.
Thanks man! That is some really great input from your experience!
How’d you like the IS?
This the exact car I purchased and it's been amazing. Extremely comfortable, pretty quick, and the touchpad is oddly easier to use than my previous/wife's touchscreen.
Wow...I really like that car. AWD performance with great handling. I love the interior and gauge cluster. Nothing wrong with analog gauges. Great review!

I’m finally in love with the Acura TLX exterior again! Beautiful, classy, and sporty!
I'm still driving my 2006 Acura Tsx after all these years. I'm wondering how reliable these new TLX are. Acura finally got their Grill game right after all these years.
i guess it had low maintanence cost
Just picked up this same color beaut last weekend. Feels like it's underrated with the power that this thing puts out It's pretty surprising coming from the V6 j35. I don't really miss it at this point and I never thought that would be the case. This is more fun to drive. That's probably due to the entirely new independent platform. The interior materials are higher quality and the seat is so comfortable. The steering wheel feels like a sports car. Even though it's not a true sports car it gives you that feeling which is really nice. No connectivity in the back is probably due to not many families will be using this car. Also you can use the USB port in the center console from the back seat if you had to.
Very cool Congrats!

Looks like Acura really brought the TLX into a new league - and fantastic review! Is the transmission improved in the new model? Does it now compare to the quick shifting Audi DCT or the snappy transmission in the 3-series? I have the outgoing model, and the gear hunting 9-speed transmission in the V6 version of that model is a show stopper for me.

My first car was a 1994 Acura Integra so a part of me will always have an affinity for Acura.
My first car was a red 1992 Acura Integra, sold it last year with 250,000 miles.
No zonk for no pano? It's not a true A-spec if it doesn't have a Sports+ mode like the RDX. For $47K I honestly would rather get the RDX A-spec. I know they're two different cars but I rather just wait for the Type-S if I'm already spending that much on a sedan. I know it's going to be around $5K-$10K more after mark-ups which it will have due to the anticipated demand.
Also Acura got really lazy with the rims this generation. It's basically the same after the tech package. Btw I'm a big Honda and Acura fan so not trying to hate, just stating my opinion.
I totally understand where you are coming from!
Excellent review!! What would you suggest to get BMW 330i or this TLX? Which one is more fun to drive?
I saw a red one at the dealership. The paint looked very very good, which I find unusual for acuras/hondas, I wonder how it will age. Very good looking car, maybe a bit expensive, will definitely consider as a used car if I don't go electric

The biggest problem for most people here is the price of the car.
Yes Acura got expensive like a lot of other brands in recent years.
