Filmed somewhere in the city centre, possibly Bothwell Street. NYS26F and AYS273B are the TL and BA tender from the Central fire station in Ingram Street which closed in 1984 and was replaced by Cowcaddens.
Probably find that the Stn/O was the only one on duty at the station which turned out the T/L with the initial pre-determined attendance and the Control room requested that he attended as part of the turn-out.
no chance of any footage of the cheapside fire?? My uncle missed it by one day..in fact was cleaning out his locker when the alarm came in and later helped identify his crew
