I am with you, I was riding “rice burner” sport bikes since 1980. I test rode a Harley back then. It felt on the road like a tractor, low power, poor braking, leaked oil, vibrated the front tire to a blur, “tradition” of quality & issues with repair issues. Fast forward to 2008, I tested an ‘04 Sportster Roadster... what an eye opener, I borrowed his half-helmet and took it out Hwy 33. I could not believe all the foibles: plenty of torque without stirring the gearbox, dual disc brakes, belt drive, oily mess with a new reputation for excellent quality. I agree with you totally and yes I am now a Harley enthusiast and bough a FatBoy in 2004 😎

Not allowed to travel further than 3 miles from home, no visiting or visitors allowed, unless you have a work permit you are to stay at home and a night time curfew. Motorcycling is my escape and assist with mental health. Nothing but the road and me... you’ll do 100k by Xmas easy with great vlogs like this.. keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Go for the Road Glide, as much riding as you do you certainly deserve it !! When I turned 65 I bought a new Heritage Softail, my first HD with no regrets. As much as I hate to say this, life is too short, we owe it to ourselves to enjoy it. Ride safe and thanks for sharing.

Life is short! Get yourself a Road Glide! I rolled my 2017 Road Glide Special off of the Dealership in August of 2017 and have over 37K on her! They are great touring bikes! You should watch this video a few times and really listen to your enthusiasm and pure joy of riding a Road Glide! Buy it and dont look back!

My road king has a 107 and I love it!! It's like riding a recliner down the road.
I go back and forth with the road king and road glide. Love both bikes though. Such a tough decision

It is time for a Road Glide. You can feel it, we can feel it. The tire damage was not a coincidence. It feels like a rad glide fall season.
People have tested both the 107 and the 114 and said there was hardly any difference. You need a Road Glide.
I'm one of them, for the price difference it's not worth it unless your going stage 2 then you'll feel it.
Maybe it’s because I’m not going for top end speed, but the 107 felt more responsive and got me up to speed from stop quicker. Thought it had more than I’d ever need...then I hit my 1k point and did the 1k service, and it feels like it got even a bit more (like it was intentionally restricted until break in done). For me what made the final decision though was the chrome vs black. Cheaper to build the engine than chrome out everything that was black powder coated lol.
@@rebelcat420 Everything you said! The 107 is the way to go - def my preference. And the blacked-out style is a fad and will look seriously dated in a few years.

I always say, Once you go 'Glide, you never go back. LOL. Bikes in general throttle SO EASILY!!!! We just put in the Progressive devices in our cars (to earn discounts). THANK GOD they don't make these devices for motorcycles. LOL.

I recognize the symptoms that you are experiencing because I had the same symptoms for about two years and the only cure is to BUY THAT ROAD GLIDE!!! That's what cured me, I totally understand the attachment to your current bike but there's nothing like sittin your butt on a new bike and riding until you jut give out then repeat as often as possible. 😊
I used to ride an Ultra Limited. I went out to buy a new 2020 Ultra Limited to replace my 2014. But I decided I owed it to myself to TRY a Road Glide. When I 1st got on the Road Glide, my 1st impression was "No Way ". But the more I rode it the more I realized I really enjoyed the fairing. Then when I took it on the InterState...it was a no brainer! So I purchased the 2020 RG Limited and I absolutely love, love the bike. I have had it 2 months and got 5K miles on her. Best of luck with your decision and thanks for a great channel!

Nice video, sharing positive emotions! :-) By the way, your 107 engine IS the Milwaukee Eight, the first engine with eight valves, introduced 2017! Marry the Road Glide!
The 107 is a Milwaukee 8. Gets my Street Glide around just fine. As far as RG vs SG, less weight on RG front end due to frame mounted fairing. SG fork mounted fairing feels heavier turning, but everything closer to the rider. Both look great!! Stay safe Jess!!

You should you should check out the road king special, I have a 2020 Road King special, it's almost the exact same bike, but without all the stuff you don't need. You don't need a radio the wind is your music

Went there a few weeks back for Bike night, Way too small of an area ,But was still nice to get out. The Sunbury branch is wide open and we enjoy going there . Besides being in Westerville and much closer, it has more to offer. JMO Makes it nice for my 14 Ultra servicing. Ride safe folks.
Again, what a wonderful way to start out my day with a ride with you. Your thoughts are no different from mine when I got a larger motorcycle. One in particular was the way they, cut thru the wind and move right along with no effort. I will say this, some day you will move up to a larger motorcycle. When I first got the mini apes on my Street Glide the controls were angled down too far for me in the same way. Just loosen the bolts near the controls and change the angle to your liking
I would love to see you hit 100,000 subs before the end of the year! It would be awesome if you got the road glide and don't feel guilty about it, your other bike won't get jealous, haha I have two bikes and they get along just fine!
After owning 2 street glides, I finally bought a road glide. The fairing had to grow on me but ive never looked back since buying it. The difference between the two is CRAZY! The saying "if you ride a road glide, you'll never ride another bike" couldn't be more true. I've been on other bikes and almost immediately wanted to get back on my bike. Sooo buy the road glide and enjoy it!
I love the look of the road glide over the street glide! Every time you turn with the street glide you also have to turn the front fairing where the road glide fairing is fixed. Plus it looks better personally.

I remember when i took a test ride on a road glide special and a street glide special. That road glide made me feel some kinda way that i just cant explain. I can not WAIT till i can afford one. It was an amazing experience and i LOVE doing distance and i think i could do real long trips with ease on one. Cant wait for that day for sure
Get the Roadglide limited. You might not think it about it. But will go that direction eventually. The tourpak and heated grips make it well worth it. And the comfort. Roadglide blocks more wind.

I had a Heritage softtail forc14 years, traded it for a 2018 Road Glide! Absolutely love it. Road Glide, Road King, Street Glide,and Ultra are all the same frame, touring, different layouts. The shark nose seriously splits the wind way better then the bat wing, and it is mounted to the frame. The batwing turns and gets a bit more buffetting from the wind. I rode them all when I traded. The ROAD GLIDE WON OUT! NO REGRETS!!! Ride what YOU ENJOY!!! Stay safe

I’ve got a 2017 RoadGlide Ultra and it’s amazing. I enjoy the room in the cockpit versus my previous bike (2015 Limited). Nothing looks or handles as good as a RoadGlide. Ride safe

Road glide over street glide for sure, way more stability passing big trucks on hwy. And never get rid of your first love! (Dyna). You need 1 bike for around town and 1 for the open road. Personally, everyone should also have one for the dirt.
I rode my Dyna for several years, when my husband bought a another bike 4 years ago he gave me his Street glide, once your on a touring bike very hard for me to go back to my Dyna. Have rode her twice since.😊

I ride a 2006 street glide and i love it....but....the road glide is an AMAZING machine.
Love the Road Glide. First time I rode one I bought it. It does everything well.
Those bars are awesome! I test rode a 107 Road King and it blew me away!! The 107 is smooth and has all the torque I think I need.
Love my Road Glide. Those handle bars are exactly what I am looking at. Have them in a shopping cart. Just need to pull the trigger. Another Great video.
I'm the same way about the Road Glide. Every time I sit on one now I just feel everything connect. Its a bike that I wouldn't have to change anything on to make it fit me better.

Hi Jess, if you're thinking about a Bagger I agree try a Street Glide, but also check out the 2018 or newer Honda Goldwing.
