Good morning....realizing most of these videos are many years old.....however, in your play list for these Yamaha which I have looked at all that apply to my 2019 gas cart. Could you make a video showing how to adjust the accelerator peddle....My cart the peddle travels almost to the floor before engaging and the cart jumps when it starts. You are the go to UA-cam for these Yamaha gas carts......TY
Electric carts with lead acid batteries are much heavier than gas carts, so I would assume that they would be harder on brakes as you are trying to stop more weight.
@@PowerEquipmentMan certainly, but when going down a hill, it feels like the electric motor is acting like a brake....kind of like a jake on a semi truck
My peddle has a lot of throw. Adjusted cable under floor with no results. I just bought this cart. Do you think I need shoes? Its a 2011. Great video and a big thumbs up!
What does the locking tab do on the brake adjustment? Does it matter if it isn't locked in against the brake adjustment? I have adjusted mine and when I press the brake pedal, it loses tension. I go back to check one of the rear brakes and the locking tab on the brake adjustment has come off the brake adjustment. Hope you can help. Cheers
My passenger side brake grabs/locks. I've adjusted it so it's not so snug and that's eliminated the problem. My question is, can I keep it from self adjusting too tight again?
If it keeps overtightening, I would guess that there is an issue with the tensioner. May need replaced. I have not heard of this as a common issue. I have seen brakes that would lock up too quick due to rust in the drum. To fix that we just drive for a few hundred feet with the brakes slightly applied (hitting the gas and brake peddle at the same time) and it seems to cure the issue. Then adjust them properly.
It's easiest to remove the hub first. Then you can remove the spring retainer that holds each brake shoe in place. Then remove both brake shoes together. Install new shoes in the reverse order.

These carts are so easy to work on…. Great vid…. Would you think electric carts are easier on b rakes than the gas carts?

It's possible. The only way to know is to inspect them like shown in the video. They may just need adjusted at the drum. Thanks for watching
Im sure you realized his answer was wrong, as your 2011 doesnt have drums
I have a squeaking sound when driving high speed. It goes away with lightly pressing pedal. What should I do?
Any video on how to replace the shoes?
Not at this time, sorry.
Do these brakes self adjust like old schools car drum brakes in reverse? Or is it manual adjustment only?

The tab must lock the adjuster in place. If yours isn't holding then you might need to replace it.
what's the correct torque value for the lug nuts
What size bolt is the hole for removing the brake drum?
MY Drive 1 has the disc brake pack in the trans. Do you have a video on servicing that brake?
I do not have a video out for that yet, but we will most likely be doing one in the future.
Does the brake assembly under the floor cover require routine maintenance/lubrication?
Yes it doesn't hurt to clean that area every couple years and spray the threads on the cables with lube to keep them from rusting.

Hello I have a g29 also and my parking break doesn’t catch. Do you have a video showing how to replace that?
Not at this time.

I have no drum brake on my 2011 electric G29 Drive. I dont know where they are...lol
You probably have a trans brake like me, nobody talks about those.

where is the brake fluid resivoir on the Yamaha drive golf cart
There is no brake fluid on the Yamaha Drive. They are cable operated brakes.
