Halfway through the video, I went to the website to look at the asking price. This is a huge project considering the age of the vessel and the short life expectancy of the equipment on board. I will not give a price opinion since I will not make an offer on the vessel but the asking price is something to be questioned by a possible buyer. Another great video by YMB.
Not only should it be questioned, it should be laughed at! They are crazy asking a million for this pos! If it was a decade newer and without hull damage, maybe!
@@DinDooIt Yep. still not sold and still asking for 990k. Considering all the work, I'd be surprised if it sold for 90k. Anyone with the money for a 990k boat will look at other options.
This boat is going to need almost an entire gutting and rebuild, for the asking price.... "IF" I was looking at this boat to buy, the price would have to be dropped by 95% and the VAT paid, before I would even think about it. The possibilities are massive with this hull, but so it the price to get her back on the water at 100%. Thanks for the video.
Have to agree. Asking price is ridiculously high although depends on what you intend to do with it. Hull needs to be stripped and repainted. Props and shaft seals will need a refurb. No idea on condition of engines. Decking needs pulling up and replacing on at least one deck and a full refurb where possible on the others. All windows likely need to be removed refinished if possible, replaced where not and seals replaced. Electrical wiring, hydraulics, HVAC is a big question mark probably all needs upgrading/replacing. Same with all pipes for clean water, black water etc. Nav station needs a full upgrade/refit. Thats the absolute basics just to make it safe and "useable". The Interior needs a minimum 70% refit depending on taste. I think the main saloon could do with an upgrade. Rip out the weird seating and tables but leave corner glassware cabinets. Maybe put in a wetbar down one side and dining table and normal seating ie couches. Kitchen could possibly do with just a "lick of paint" instead of a full refit as it is fairly functional. Front cabin/seating area? Could do with a refresh i suppose to save money or could be converted to a new cabin. All guest bathrooms need a desperate upgrade to all surfaces. Bathrooms are grim. Guest cabins and staff quarters need to be updated, may not need a full strip and refit so things like flooring could stay (maybe just restain) It needs a LOT of money spending on it unless someone wants an expensive non operational "home" For 500k more you could buy a MUCH newer and more modern immediately useable and functional yacht that can accommodate about the same amount of guests.

It would depend on the cost of the yacht to begin with. The condition of the hull and engines, to decide whether or not it is a viable proposition, for a full repaint and refit. It doesn’t look like it’s been touched since the early 1990s, except for the flatscreen TVs. Maybe also items in the galley. They also would need replacing, though, to bring them up-to-date. I personally would get a salvage company to strip it out. You might even make yourself a few thousand dollars by doing that. It would also save you money, when getting it totally refitted, as you won’t be paying for labour taking the old stuff out. Then it is up to you, and your budget to the level you would like it refitted. I’m thinking, probably 5 million in total. You won’t find a yacht this size in good condition for less than 12 million. I am sure. 😎

I think the a large portion of the price is the aluminium construction. If those engines can be rebuilt and the structure is solid, it could be a good deal (hell of a lot of glass to replace). That boat has charter written all over it.
About a million to buy and about 2-3 million to refit if you want to bring it up to date and redo some things, but a full hard surface redit with changes to structures, 4 million. I would definitely change some design elements, but a great yacht even if just brought uo to modern-day standards.

What happens is the company that you purchase the yacht under gets into financial trouble and is unable to sell the toy. As a result it gets hauled out and.... well here we are.
Lets face it to own a boat like this you need more than deep pockets and the asking price of 950 thousand euro's is quite cheap for the size of the boat but will cost millions more to have the boat re-fitted throughout and the new owner would end up with a boat at a considerable saving compared to buying new. It certainly is not a boat that a new owner could fix up himself in a few weekends
Could be a lovely classic, reality is this, 1988 build, it needs gutting, new plumbing, new electricals, new interior, taken down to the bare metal, cabins re-confiruring, new navigation package, minimum, 3 to 4 milion to make that up to scratch and to the point where it can be used for charter. good project, more than willing to manage it for anyone out htere thinking of buying, I have done worse that this one
The cost of bringing this boat aesthetically to the 21st century expectations and then go through all the tech systems with a fine comb and rebuild, refurbish and upgrade it to today’s standards, in another words; complete a total refit in top of the current asking price, it would not be anywhere near of being feasible from an investment point of view !

It certainly is not a boat that a new owner could fix up himself in a few weekends
Nice yacht ❤
Could be a lovely classic, reality is this, 1988 build, it needs gutting, new plumbing, new electricals, new interior, taken down to the bare metal, cabins re-confiruring, new navigation package, minimum, 3 to 4 milion to make that up to scratch and to the point where it can be used for charter. good project, more than willing to manage it for anyone out htere thinking of buying, I have done worse that this one
Probably $20,000 just to haul out and paint the bottom, zinks. $250gal × 30gal for 3 coats plus labor, etc.
Lipstick on a Pig comes to mind.
I like this this be what i like , but also be able to put a xar on 😊
Gangster Cool as puff daddy an bige small s bouncing the 🌊 nice 👍
Massive yahct beautiful money pit
Remember the parties here... :D
Any idea what they are asking for this?! I love it
Asking = 990 k Euros / we are open to receive purchase offers
On your website its listed as 990,000 euros. You better corect that. Thatd 1 billion in us. 😂
@brianmooney7009 how is 990,000=1B lmao
@@arthurmorales3670not even 1.000.000 euro … so how did he get to 1.000.000.000 dollar ?
@@brianmooney7009
It's around 1 million US.
Did the boat sell? What is the price and where is it?
1 million pretty much
The dingy, lol! 😂
Somebody needs to really want this boat. Otherwise I can't see how it's coming back
Looks like the boat from the movie Overboard.
Seller is very optimistic with his asking price in this economy and the refit investment that need to be made. 1/3 would be more realistic.
what a nightmare of a project
Xanadu called and wants their boat back. LOL Actually a pretty cool boat, but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze, would really depend on the condition of the MTU's and running gear.
Free may be too expensive for this boat!
well you could not even afford it if it was free
Eine tolle alte Yacht, sie sollte einen neuen Eigner bekommen der sie wieder Seetüchtig macht. Tolles Video, danke.
Aluminum hull makes it a ticking financial nightmare.
Please send price for 35m boat
With the price of houses these days I would just dry dock it on a piece of property and live in it
Such a shame to abandoned a former beauty like this. I hope she´s not ending for scrap metal ....
I would repair what needs it, but leave the interior as is.
My plan was to get this boat and live on it
Seems it needs a lot cash to get it to Super yacht condition
