Massive well done on reaching 2000 subs, fully agree the shots along the embankment are brilliant which proves the high level of modelling skills you have achieved. Great to hear your daughter playing this video (great to get family involved) out my only regret with my layout is that my late father never went up into my loft to look at my layout despite the fact he was a model engineer who built traction engines and 4.5 " steam 0-6-0 tank engine, perhaps he thought my 00 gauge was just a `toy`. Please keep them coming Graham, once again well done regards Barry...

Congratulations Graham on 2000. Love the mail train, always enjoy running mine. Great stock, think we all get too many lol. I used to use the dynamis and upgraded to digitrax and Gaugemaster (2 different tracks). My dynamis died. The background noise just adds to the realism, just leave them in I say 👍. Thanks very much Andy. Maybe what I need is another ambient notice producer for the station💡 to cover some more outside noise. Already have the gauge master rural one. As for Stephanie she's moved on and doesn't play much piano these days, but maybe for another update sometime in the future.

Thanks Allan. My daughter actually played and recorded that in the main hall at school aged 17. She said she got caught by the head master, thought she was in big trouble only to be told to carry on as he loved to hear her play and she was welcome between lessons to play the grand piano anytime she liked. She is now aged 26 with a 1st class degree in astro physics with honours. Needless to say we are very lucky to have such a talented daughter. Thanks for all your support it's great to have such a happy guy like yourself in the hobby to cheer the rest of us grumps up.

Just noticed you've broken through 3000 Allan, so we'll done to you. But I guess from now on though it's just a number. I Just had to break that 2000 barrier to justify to myself I'm worth a watch on UA-cam. 1000 in one year but 18 months for 2000. 😮 but I did it without a blonde wig and not to much up front. 😂 Cheers Graham 👍

Hi Graham, been with you on your journey a while now both aspirational and inspirational! As I’m still in early layout phase how did you decide and finally lock down a layout plan?
Watching Everard Junction is what rekindled my interest back in the hobby. And then later Dean Park. I took inspiration from these guys and others and decided I wanted a two level layout. Two lower loops, two upper loops and then a final loop that visits both upper and lower. Also two main areas of action, a station and tmd. That and my own loft restrictions (11ft x 21ft + roof supports) made the track plan evolve. The only thing I regret is no real fiddle yard. Maybe under the baseboard one day. Hope that helps, but it's not easy finalising a design, depending on what you want out of your layout I guess. Thanks for watching the channel atb Graham 🙂👍
Really fantastic 80's layout you have done a lot to it. I'm just doing my loft up and putting up the foil insulation to make it more habitable. How big is your layout? I am going to be doing the same era and your layout is very inspirational. Thanks for sharing, I will be going through your channel to get inspired.
