- A quick look at the past 4yrs progress of the layout with the beginning intro footage.
Also an August update including the finishing of my diorama.
The stone walling was purchased from Osborns Models.

Just watched this and your previous video with my grandson. He's hoping he can get the scenery on the 009 layout to look as good as yours, I guess time will tell. Great video and layout he's hit the button ... Cheers James 🙂👍
Many thanks, and I hope your grandson goes on to love the hobby. It can be frustrating at times, but with practice and persistence, you can usually achieve the right result. I think it's just one big, never-ending learning curve really, and that's all part of enjoying the hobby, IMO of course. Regards Graham 🙂👍

Great looking diorama, grass level and colour spot on Graham. Not sure if you have tried this but I have applied cheap non scented hair spray to areas of grass (after layer glues and IPA) and found this holds the foliage, I have also applied this method to trees once desired level and depth has been achieved. Many thanks for sharing this video Graham, please keep them coming regards Barry..👍
Cheers Barry, have tried hair spray in the past and it never seemed to be strong enough over time. Saying that there could be better stuff on the market these days. Thanks for staying the course and being a die hard channel follower. It's very much appreciated. Atvb Graham 👍 😊

The Hornby 60s are pretty good models already. Now Cavalex and Accurascale are going to flood the market further, but I think there'll be a buying slowdown now as our generation, who reentered the hobby around lockdown and had the funds to do so, have just about all the rollingstock we really need! Probably!......No actually, absolutely, we do!.....Maybe! Seriously though, I think the manufacturers are now over producing new models and the sales boom has passed. Regards Julian

Fantastic layout!....funny watching your foliage procedure is very much the same as mine ....in n gauge. It's easier cleaner and hardly any waste as it all gets tipped back in bags and your not mixing all the different blends of turf.

To add in the mention of dew effect I've seen some modeling attempts of a damp wet scene and a layout at an exhibition.....very effective for night scenes
