Artificial harmonics. example: hold down 1st fret of 1st string. *lightly* touch the 13th fret with the index finger of the right hand (12 frets above the fretted fret) and pick the string at the same time with the ring finger of the right hand. hope that helps.
I guess six people accidentally hit the dislike button, for the mother of God!! This is amazing, thanks for honoring the music from Brazil, specially from Minas Gerais. You are a awesome musician!
@boofneenee thanks. it's not quite that i can do *anything* :D I do like your point about being able to hear something and finding a way to make it work on the guitar. that is of the essence. It's very similar to something Paulinho Nogueira said how every time the guitar seems to present an obstacle there's always some solution right there on the fingerboard somewhere (excuse the heavy paraphrasing). Actually that one is standard tuning. thanks for watching
I see Brazilians surprised to learn that our music is appreciated in other countries. It should not be surprising, Brazilian music is and always will be the best.
oh, yeah, this whole clip was done in the garageband preset called "Large Reverb". to give it more atmosphere. i'm still experimenting on how to use the mac for recording and i'll settle back down to a more natural tone eventually
What an honour, Mr. Tony. Brazilian music is so beautiful. It's nice to see that you enjoy it. Clube da Esquina is one of the most amazing things I've ever listened to. I thank you for honouring our music. Hope you're doing fine, miss your videos!
I'm from BH, Minas Gerais. Land of Lô Borges and Milton Nascimento. I'm proud by this version, very good. I'm following you since I saw your version of "Canto de Ossanha". Wonderful guitar player!
Chapeau bas !!!
it's a very suggestive tune. I've never heard it before. The progression of chords and not previous melody...but at the same time simple. very good job.
Troublechef, thank you very much for providing us - the UA-cam community - with such a brilliant performance for this beautiful Brazilian song. That was just amazing. I want you to know that I have been accompanying your guitar work and that I do admire it very much. You are a genuinely gifted musician! Embraces from Brazil.
Fantastic playing and arranging Tony, nice chord inversions in there, always love those Brazilian type compositions, the warmth in melody and richness in Harmony goes far beyond the Poor Stuff we mostly get to hear in the Western Pop Music ( of course with exception of Jazz and Classical)Vic.
Damn, man, you never cease to amaze me! I wrote you long ago to praise your brilliant rendition of Clube da Esquina Nº2, and now you come with this. And Goodbye Yellow Brick Road still moves me. Insane, Sir, well done!
What a fascinating piece of music. Very dramatic. Well played, of course. I like the big hall reverb. It works very well with this music. Your guitar sounds excellent. This one is definitely a keeper. Bravo!
Well ive only been playing for around 5 months now and im gettin rather good but this is on a whole new level of talent. you are amazing, i am totally subscribing!
Tony, again amazing. You really should have a link to iTunes from these videos so people can purchase a copy of these performances. Your guitar work is 1st rate.

Wonderful! Good to see someone playing this song so carefully! Congratulations! (also good to see an american who like this songs from Milton and Clube da Esquina). Hugs from Brazil!
Fantastic! I love this song! It's a old music from Lo Borges in 1972. Every time I hear I try to play in my guitar... but you played great! You played great!
Beautiful! "Clube da Esquina" is one of my favorites. This song specifically touches my soul in a way I cannot describe well. I am not a musician, so I just hear and feel your strings. Your interpretation is great. To me, it creates the sensation of a profound feeling and also slight nostalgic sadness. I think you captured the exact essence of such a classic, unique and beautiful moment of Brazilian music.

PERFECT, Tony!! Thanks for this. As a Brazilian from Minas Gerais, I'm proud to hear this song so beautifully played.
I have not heard anything that beautiful since the last time I heard you play. Thank you for reaching beyond our simple appreciation of music.
Lindíssima interpretação: técnica, sensibilidade, acurácia, entrega. Muito bom!

I can't imagine this song being played any better. Really.
Bota bom gosto nisso! O repertório do Mr Clef é demais, perfeito!
The chords and the lyrics for "Olê, Olá" were Chico compositions.
Edu Lobo just composed the chords for "Beatriz" and Chico wrote the lyrics.
I'm from BH, Minas Gerais. Land of Lô Borges and Milton
Nascimento. I'm proud by this version, very good. I'm following you since I saw your version of "Canto de Ossanha". Wonderful guitar player!

easily one of the most beautiful things I´ve ever heard! Thanks from Br
Emocionante!
As always, harmonically spot on and just plain beautiful... terrific job
I like the added reverb. This piece has a piano feel to it, and the tone of the Taylor adds to that. Nicely done!
Marvelous melody in a perfect playing. Congratulations for all your work!
Your interpretation of the string arrangement was stunning. Deus te abençõe (God bless!)
it's a very suggestive tune. I've never heard it before. The progression of chords and not previous melody...but at the same time simple.
