Totally under rated bass player. Bill is fabulously excited in this, can't you tell? I kinda think Bill and Ringo should have made a record together during this period.

I started to listen to his music only about 1 week ago. His songs and music grabbed my heart immediately. I also enjoyed his play with the rhythm kings at the concert on youtube videos. He is so cool and I like and admire the style of his way of living!
Beautiful! Very pleasant bassline! Nice 'laying out' / rhythmic blending with other 'voices'. Thanks for sharing! Wish the camera stayed on a shot including Mr Wyman and his bass more of the time. Though this is far better than many recent videos / camera styles that seem structured to simulate the effects of hitting a concrete retaining wall at 80 km/h - i.e., immediate and devastating whiplash.
@@jackross7633 I liked his songs. Very good sense of melody. It was a year ago when I commented on this, so I think it must have not been one of my favourites:

Don't know why the Stones never included any of Bill's songs on their albums. I've enjoyed every one of his songs I've listened to. George Harrison should consider himself fortunate that he was able to get his songs onto Beatles albums. Lennon and McCartney could have done the same thing to him that Jagger and Richards did to Wyman.
Great song, easy to remember and song along...I just heard it now in 2031 so to me it's new..its fin to discover hidden trasures like this...I didn't know that he was a solo artist but now I discovered that there is so much more to him than the bass player of the stones. Also, the beautiful dancers bring this whole presentation yo a new level...I thoroughly enjoyed the song and video.. That's my opinion and I welcome yours.

@@rickoursler2583 Bill de-fretted one of his first electric bass guitars in 1961 and used it on many early Stones recordings. Jaco acquired a 1962 bass in 1972 and de-fretted it sometime after that. Jaco was an amazing innovator but Bill had been playing and recording with a fretless electric bass for more than a decade before Jaco even got the bass that he would eventually de-fret.
Not bad, actually would have been so nice to have John Lennon on guitar and as backround singer, on drums Ringo, Steve Winwood playing piano, Dolly Parton as backround singer and Eric Clapton on guitar.😅
Honestly, Monkey Grip has some great moments on it. I'd much prefer listening to some of the songs on it than some of the filler on It’s Only Rock and Roll.
Bill's an amazing kat who has SLEPT with MORE WOMEN then the REST of The Stones - COMBINED. If he only had had the balls to stand up to the "twins" early on and demanded some songwriting credit he'd probably still be a Stone - and he probably would've done it if Charlie grew a pair + joined Bill and if Brian wasn't so fragile. Bill's book is amazing because he a very methodical man and kept a journal and Bill was an early adopter of electronics like movie cameras and other such devices so he has records of all the Stones' goings-on. What's nutty about the book is there aren't any Chapters. It's just one long read but never boring - if you're a Stones fan. I wouldn't bother if you're not a fan cuz it's 607 pages long that runs from 1963 - July 5th, 1969 - The Hyde Park concert in memoriam to Brian Jones.
@Silario I don't know if older equals being quiet but maybe it's just Bill's nature. You know he was quite good with numbers (he was the first one to start seeing problems in Allen Klein's "Math") and was put in an advanced class but his father pulled him out just months before graduating because he got Bill a job at the "Bookies" (a gambling parlor). The headmaster pleaded with Mr. Perks (Bill's real sir name) on Bill's behalf, but to no avail. It hurt Bill later when applying for jobs people no one wanted to hire someone who worked at the bookies. You see Bill's family was about 7 or 8 people living in 1 small home and Bill, being the oldest of his siblings, was used to doing what he was asked of him. But being older he never really did fit in with the rest. This is obviously only my opinion, but if Bill, being the oldest Stone, had been a more assertive personality, then he would have naturally taken over leadership of the band. The Stones didn't look up to Bill like they did to other older muscians like Alexis Koerner + that crowd. Also, Bill was New to Blues and R & B so he didn't have the passion for the music so that also would affected his role in the group. Sadly, or Luckily for Stones fans, the only reason that they hired Bill was cuz he had a job, his own equipment + most importantly - an extra cabinet. But what do I know?👍😁
Totally under rated bass player. Bill is fabulously excited in this, can't you tell? I kinda think Bill and Ringo should have made a record together during this period.
This is criminal.
That for sure would have been interesting!
Love this song and Bill's bass playing is truly awesome - superb!
Bill is a professional and a real man - a cultural pattern.

This is a great song lyrically and instrumentally; it´s a great video. It´s called rock´n roll and some of you just can´t seem to get over it.
This is the best Benny Hill skit I've ever seen!
I don’t think anyone is noticing that the song isn’t very good.

Hoot!
@@paullee3660 wrong. Bill had the best solo career out of the Stones, that’s saying a lot given Keith’s Winos.

I like his slightly bored expression as the dancers twerk
I love his solo stuff. this has a Nilsson vibe.
Luv ya work Bill 😅
bellissimo!
This made perfect sense to me after I took 85 Xanax bars and drank 55 Red Bulls.
😆🚀
Wonder how of the dancers he made it with..before/ after the video was done?
Bill was only interested in children....
I was wondering the same thing, I`ll take the lead one, and the blonde.
Knowing Bill, probably all of m.
Bill giving Benny Hill a run for his money with the Bills Angels.😁🇬🇧

This is not "Live performance".
No its mimed, Bill Wyman is a really good bassist but he could never sing or be a frontman.
@Silario Definitely not a frontman. But I think he's not a good singer, if he was he'd have done a bit with the Stones.
I have so much nostalgia for this song

Mr bill have you use your shortscale bass live with the rolling stones? That bass you are playing
Do people realize that Wyman invented the Fretless Bass but wasn't aware of it till a few yrs back I believe.

new wavw before new wave
Le meilleur jeu de basse que j'ai jamais entendu de Bill Wyman...Purée il ne devait pas se casser le cul avec les stones 😁
Why is the woman in white the lead dancer? She's so stiff. The brunette in the blue outfit is much better and more fluid.
