I'm convinced Ronnie Wood made a deal with the Devil in order to join up with the Stones...part of which included agreeing to never, ever upstage Keith Richards, either live or in the studio. Listening to his stuff in the Faces, man, he was fucking ferocious. Loud, brash, balls out and in your face. His playing with the Stones though? Kind of indistinguishable, playing it safe and doing nothing to rock the boat with Richards.

I always loved Keith's Chuck Berry guitar style on the early Stones albums and also It's Only Rockin Roll , but I like it .
He always had the best Chuck Berry style , as a matter of fact I very rarely remember hardly anyone trying it out .

He wrote the book from his diary he kept from the earlier days about the Stones. I guess some of the stuff in that book wasn't supposed to be published because Jagger and Richards weren't too thrilled about what Wyman had to say. If I was Wyman I wouldn't write a book like that because there will be backlashes that follow him from Jagger and Richards and perhaps Watts. Too bad!
