Abby is unfortunately the best character I think. The strike skill is soooo strong.
@@anonymous-ix6sc yeaaa I'ma Play it on Monday after work I couldn't play cus I have girlfriend duties but I'm excited I beat this game like 6 times and have all platinum trophies but instead of me importing my old data I'ma re do the whole game! That's how much I love this game it's a masterpiece 🙌
Honestly if you changed it so that if Liv dying when playing as Yara wasn't an instant lose condition (and instead you just lose him for the rest of the run) she'd probably be A tier.
You can turn off Allies get grabbed in combat accessibility

I love how Dina, Mel, Lev, and Yara all have their own in-game knife models despite using Ellie’s scripts.
Well of course they aren't going to add special animations for each one it's just close range combat, not an anime
This "No Return" mode is dope, but it would've been more dope if it had co-op 👊🏿

Playing as Ellie and Abby together would be pretty neat
honestly they should’ve made Mel into Nora instead since she’s also a nurse and we already know she’s super speedy lol
Just started playing this today, loving it so far. Tons of replayability
They should add an endless mode to this, would really help the games replayability even more, also you could easily have the leaderboards track the furthest wave people have got to.
If the intention is to ramp up encounter difficulty along the way, I doubt endless would scale very well. It already gets pretty crazy insane at the end of the run with waves of 6/7 enemies on assaults that start in combat.
@@bladechild2449 I mean I was more thinking that they could make it so there's multiple bosses per boss stage, or just make enemies more aggressive or faster, I thinking spamming enemies should only really happen further along if they were going to do this.
and maybe a special run you can select where your character is swapped each encounter and your guns and abilities are rerolled would be kinda cool
I think it would be neat if they just kept adding more and more gameplay mods if it was endless. Like round 5 difficulty just more and more volatile

Abby is my favorite character to play as.
Her close-quarter combat style is very brutal and satisfying, and I love it!
I can't convince myself to change the glam-rock getup. They did a really good job with that one.

They gotta add dodge to Joel and Tommy, seems to really hold them back.
Did u see the video, it clearly states can't dodge but takes less damage and deals from more damage to melee enemies

@@jenishmaharjan9655 Its bad if you depend on dodge, you literally play the game differently and getting backed into a corner with no shivs will get you stun locked to death.

Nah Jesse is better, since he starts with the pipe bomb recipe, he basically has Abbys animations anyway.

Does anyone else think you should have unlocked Owen instead of Mel ? If we are going by having the closest ally’s in each faction
Joel is S tier for one simple reason - he gets shivs.
Clickers are the only thing in the game that can just one shot you unless you have a shiv. And getting them with any other character is extremely RNG as you rely on the outpost.
Don't even consider doing a run where the boss is the theatre infestation with any other character
Not being able to dodge is too much of a disadvantage. Clickers' walk speed is actually kinda slow compared to other infected of the same size. Their flails can be dodged, you can stun them with throwables, and they die instantly from environmental melee weapons, at least on moderate. They're also vulnerable when you feed them something, which you can do with both people and infected, they're not good against shotguns blasts - _and_ a Shiv costs resources that can be used to make melee upgrades _and bombs_ both of which have potential to kill clickers in one shot where shivs are not a guaranteed one hit kill mechanism, like they are in the first game. Don't get me wrong they're an invaluable resource, but perhaps more trouble than they're worth.

feel like this coop would be sooo good…pairing up Joel + Tommy gives you a bonus in score or Ellie + Dina …missed opportunity but still excited to give this mode a go

Might wanna cover the weapons available and how good they are in the run. For instance I got the explosive arrows for the bow and they easily got me to the boss. Only to betray me when a zombie dropped right in front of me when I fired.
I feel like this is getting us ready for factions. Setting up these type of characters with these certain type of abilities

I think b for Tommy. My biggest issue is if you have your 4th or 5th encounters be hunted it’s easy to die

It's a great video, thanks! 🤛I already love No Return. Just start a few days ago to play NR, but Jesse is a "S" grade character too imo. +30% coins and the unlimired re-roll is very helpful after a completed level. In combat, the silencer and the pipe bomb are to be too op sometimes (on grounded). He is a great mixed character by Joel and Abby. He got only pros almost.
Is this game already out? Also love the gameplay I hope you can play co-op as well
we need an endless mode with waves and a boss fight every like 5-10 waves. with recourses spawning in crates just like they already do at the end of each wave
I like playing manny aslong you know how to use his loadout then the whole game mode finna be hella fun

Idk why I find it funny that yaras “special” ability is labeled as “teamwork” when we all know it’s that she’s so bad that she’s codependent.
Can ellie/ellie like characters have abby/abby like weapons and vice versa? Like abby with a bow ellie with a cross bow. Dina with military pistol jessie with a bolt action rifle? Or is it locked to whether or not you have a knife?

we had no combat cenarios with Owen, we did with Mel
Probably because we needed a medic chracter, it was Mel or Nora
Probably alot easier. All the characters that are playable are characters that already have combat animations in the main story
Weird that they chose to include Mel rather than Owen on the Abby side... doesn't really make sense
It does make sense, Owen didn't had a single fight section in the game, the rest of the characters did, also, he can't play the medic role, I think the only medics are Mel and Nora

We should of had 4 factions instead of 2 groups, remember we got jackson, wlf (wolves), seraphites (scars) and the rattlers that way we could have had more characters and different play styles as well as more dlc in the future for more
I would love if they put characters from part 1 as well as some more from part 2: Tess, Bill and Maria (for Ellie side), and Marlene, Isaac and Owen (Abby side).

So when you die you lose your character upgrades but not your character cosmetics, right?
Only your upgrades and weapons. Character cosmetics get equipped before you start a run.
@@Xerx3s1 After playing it I'm actually really disappointed that upgrades don't carry over _between_ runs as long as your character survives each encounter.

There is a mod for slow mo when getting headshots
Accessibility and post-game cheat codes both feature slow-motion options, and No Return is a singleplayer campaign. So I'm pretty sure you can use whatever you want. I would be surprised if they allowed cheats during daily runs though.

Yara will have both arms on no return mode.
After a while, I learned how the Tommy and Joel "perk" Sturdier to Melee is just misinformation. They are NOT at all any more durable to melee damage and they still get staggered as much. The devs should've just said: Cannot dodge because of age. Simple as that.
Aren’t some guns missing from this mode
Yara is easily S tier aslong as you don’t do Holdouts
Abby's Badlands costume isn't unlocking for me, I've done a dozen encounters with only melee and almost finished an entire run without even pulling the trigger of a gun

Am i the only one who finds no return really difficult? I finished both part 1 and 2 on grounded and it was easy. With NR i keep dying on hard difficulty, and haven’t yet finished a run

I thought they might add co-op in the future, but the mode barely functions on my console as it is. It can't handle the load. Probably one of the reasons faction got cancelled.

Ive tried playing on Grounded alot, and can get through some of levels, but I'm pretty much ready to give up. I get too angry and frustrated. I think i prefer just playing on Hard, i just don't find Grounded rewarding.

Loving it so far, but a little annoyed Joel can't dodge not gone lie. He should be the strongest by far
Joel not dodging isn’t a problem simply because you shouldn’t play as him the same way you would Ellie or the others, you should have shivs crafted all the time and at least a melee weapon all the time, he can also get kills using the bricks like in part 1 so that’s saving ammo and crafting. Also can’t let yourself get into a situation where your backed into a walled corner
Dina I think should be A and Ellie should be A. Haven’t played enough as Abby. Dina’s smoke bombs saved my life multiple times and actually can get you back into stealth

If I made this, it would’ve had a 2-person per tier rule to force variety:
S Tier - Ellie, Abby
A Tier - Manny, Lev
B Tier - Jesse, Dina
C Tier - Yara, Mel
D Tier - Tommy, Joel
* Yara I could see in B, but in higher difficulties, I constantly am babysitting Lev NPC from dying

Yara is by far the worst character to play as i cannot stand and having her as a buddy shes totally useless the way she sets of own brother up to die is a joke, she gets your way and everything.

All they had to do was add a timer or limit on dodge for Joel and Tommy and most would have swallowed it. They hate Joel

@@feetheawkward1739 Yet they were aware of how broken it would be if he couldn't crawl. They claim they couldn't let him crawl in Part I because there's no space in the one to one maps, but he still does something in two that he can't do in one.
