I miss the days when action and horror movies had killer songs like this in them.
@@HS-1992 That was a great soundtrack! It was also the last cd I won from my local radio station. I miss those days.
It wasn't just movies back then though. Even some games had great rock songs. I remember Hunter: The Reckoning, one of my favorite franchises from the xbox/ps2 era, had great songs. Especially the second one that was call Wayward. That game had several songs from the band No One.
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy on the ps2 had some songs from Cold in the game.
Deus Ex: The Invisible War had several songs by The Kidneythieves. They provided the music for the in game band NG Resonance. In fact the band's lead singer, Free Dominguez, voiced NG Resonance in the game. I just replayed that game and it was great hearing that music in that context.
I miss those days.
@@form4li7y honestly I'd give anything for game OSTs to have liscened songs like this just one last time. Nowadays its just shit like rap and mainstream stuff. Yet again back in the 2000's bands like Bullet For My Valentine, Mudvayne, Breaking Benjamin, Bring Me The Horizon(Count Your Blessings-There Is A Hell eras), Nothingface, and Three Days Grace for example could've been considered mainstream at that time, but it just hit different. Like you said, movie and game soundtracks introduced me to so many bands that to this day I still love; but I honestly can't think of one soundtrack the past few years in games or movies that had the same effect as Freddy vs Jason, Saw, Smackdown Vs. Raw, Deus Ex, Need For Speed, etc
Yea, now it's all rap, hip hop, and bullshit, the former two being bullshit now. So in reality bullshit, bullshit, and more bullshit.

I grew up molested by my father repeatedly as an infant. I never remembered this until 2018 but hearing this song at 15 was the first time I acknowledged that there was something I couldnt remember, something I didn't know. Since then it's been my struggle with PTSD and recovering from the various incidents both he, my mother and stepfather put me through, including 10 years in near total isolation except for raising my sister. I'm in recovery and doing what Mudvayne did, meditating heavily now and writing about the experience. But this band saved my life in a time I was still living with them and starting to remember all the horrible things they did to me, and having to face them every day. This and "Happy" kept me alive. This band may not make music any more but it continues to keep me going. ♡

If you think he's great, you've never seen Les Claypool or Flea play live. Not taking anything away from his talent but Claypool and Flea are on an entire different level. That and the fact that they're both 60ish years old and still doing shows are insane. Both have been playing with their respective bands for over 30 years
He does it so well.

Watched saw 2 for the first time and discovered this song, man those were the days when horror/slasher movies had great ending songs
This brings me back to when I was a kid I had the pleasure of discovering mudvayne in the early 99-2000s this just brings me back to those days when anything seemed possible...
So, let me tell you something, i discovered this Band today and started listening to them here on UA-cam, then after i was done i watched other videos. After that, i returned to the recommended part here and i wanted to add their songs to my playlist, but i had forgotten their name, and then this one song, "Forget to Remember", just pops up here. Absolutely incredible.
This song was an instant classic from the start. Chad is a great lead singer. His vocals give me goosebumps at times. So real, and so we'll put together.
As a fan of Saw, this might just be my new favorite music video. Mudvayne is frickin' awesome.
I'm a huge fan of the SAW movies and agree although I really like the Fear Factory - Bite the Hand that Bleeds (SAW music video) as it reminds me of that time period and the start of a great movie series.
I love mudvayne, so happy they’re back together. This period of music was so underrated, brings me back to the good days.

Darren Lynn Bousman is a phenomenal director. It's kind of amazing that a fairly decent budget horror film with already so many people supporting was his debut movie
So great the fact this song belongs to the soundtrack of saw II and the fact they filmed this video half including saw II scenes and the rest: the band performing as if they were part of the film too.

Always the most beautiful song. Chad really put his whole heart and soul into this one, and I remember tearing up at the end of Saw when it was on the credits. The guitar in the beginning is like faerie wings brushing against the strings. Magical. Beautiful. Meaningful.
Poor guy survived monarch programming, and satanic ritual abuse, and it's cathartic for us other survivors to hear his haunting and harrowing story.

I`m a lot more Slipknot fan, but i fucking love Mudvayne, Ryan is an unreal bassist, Chads clean vocals fucking awesome.
I'd say slipknot is a little better but they just kept the intensity whereas mudvayne kinda just went through puberty from stuff like dig into extremely softer but still heavy songs but I'm sure they would have been more successful if they either kept the face paint or started off without it.
