Manning police:
“Long before her legal career, Judge Manning established herself in law enforcement. She was a pioneer as one of the first waves of female certified firefighters in DeKalb County. She then went onto become a lead narcotic agent in the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and was appointed to the Governor’s Strike Force. She then became a Detective and K-9 handler and received both a Medal of Valor and Police Officer of the Year.”
Thanks for the info, no wonder she's so down to earth and nothing gets past her!!
damn thats pretty impressive background.. thanks for the info..
Sooooo awesome 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 I love her! 😻❤️
She also served in the military. Amazing woman.
I stumbled across a fantastic article about Judge Manning. ❤. She’s just the best at everything. Here’s a (long) snippet that I thought y’all might find as interesting and inspiring as I do…
“Long before her legal career, Judge Manning established herself in law enforcement. She was a pioneer as one of the first waves of female certified firefighters in DeKalb County. She then went onto become a lead narcotic agent in the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and was appointed to the Governor’s Strike Force. She then became a Detective and K-9 handler and received both a Medal of Valor and Police Officer of the Year. While obtaining her undergraduate degree from Mercer University, Judge Manning worked as Senior Investigator with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in the Crimes Against Women and Children Unit and also at the Douglas County Public Defender’s Office. She then went to Vermont Law School and graduated in May 2006.”
It’s a great article about Judge Manning being the recipient of the 2018 Stonewall Bar Association Conspicuous Service Award Winner. She’s just awesome all around. Just like Mike!! 🫶🏼
Wow. She has lived several lifetimes just in her few years on this earth. What a motivated and passionate woman she is. Very well rounded, having served in so many roles that her current position touches certainly gives her a great deal of insight.
Wow!
Fascinating, thank you for sharing. Do you remember where you found the info on Judge Manning, or have a link?
Did it mention if she ever served in the military? I get military vibes from her, especially how she says pretrial lol
Omg wow that made me tear up!! Absolutely phenomenal!!! ❤❤
Judge Mannings history is incredible, she served in the Army as a private until she was discharged for “failure to adapt to military standards” because she is gay. She was one of the first female fire fighters in DeKalb County, then became a narcotics officer with GBI eventually being appointed to the Governor’s Strike Force, then became a detective as a K9 handler and received the metal of valor and Police Officer of the year. She started college she worked as a senior Investigator for the DA’s office in the crimes against women and children department before she got her JD. She is a true inspiration and advocate for so many.
Judge Manning was a cop?
I thought I recognized her.
Back in the early 80's she pulled me over for speeding.
She just gave me a warning, but I did think it was weird when she told me, "Stay off Peachtree Street, don't go to the Fox Theater, don't go to Zestos, don't go to the strip club, don't go to Peachtree Plaza. You can go to the Varsity, but don't walk up a block to Peachtree."
Now it all makes sense.
I love how a BUNCH of other lawyers popped in to watch the good-bye! 🥺
Looks like even another judge popped in too! I love Gallagher!!! He was my favorite!!!
You are right Mike that judge Manning should read the comments here. She is my very favorite judge due to her fairness, efficiency, intelligence and integrity. Also love her sense of humor. We definitely need more judges like her.
She is my favorite and I think she is an awesome judge.
My favorite too!
James Brown had his cape, Elvis had his jumpsuit, the respected counsel Gallagher has his headphones 🎧🤘
I actually had it playing all day cos I knew it was James Gallagher last day and it was very moving. It was amazing to watch all those attorneys start appearing as Judge Simpson started talking and the reactions that they all gave at the end. Good luck Mr Gallagher. 👍
Judge Simpson & Mr. Gallagher are my favorites of all time. Exemplary professionalism and heart along with it.
👍
Well, they got me all teary-eyed tonight.
We have range here on LTWM 😂
@@LawTalkWithMike 😁😃🤣😆🤪😬🥺😭Sort of like a Cubs season in 45 minutes.
Judge Webster too.
We're gonna need to start a CWA (court watchers anonymous) support group when all these court's go back to "in person"! 😬😆
Nah we will find more. Pandora’s Box has been opened and there is no going back.👍
@@LawTalkWithMike I sure hope so!🤞
BTW- The screaming goat is awesome!🐐❤️
@@stephaniedison4878 Agree, the Screaming "Little Debbie" goat 🐐 is awesome!! Terrific name!
I used to have a screaming goat.
Before the divorce, that is.
Just sayin' . . .
Gallagher is a sweetheart. Those were kind words said by him and the judge. Seems like they have a great group there. Glad we got a chance to see him practice and this lovely send off!
I hope Gallagher knows how many lives he has touched. 👋❤️
I want a judge Manning doll that says "preeeetrial!" "Stay out of Fulton County" "don't stop for ChikFilet" "rock, paper, scissors'
Bobble head?
@@LawTalkWithMike that's exactly what i first thought 😄
Squeeze Dog toy?
@@PrinceJediMaster hmmm. I like her too much to be chewed on 😉. I'm sure some defendants would like it though
@@Lori_L I like her as well. She reminds me of a judge we had here. But we do not get cases here that would brighten the eyes of the law nerds.
I bet Judge Manning has a lot of female admirers. She is all around charming and smart as a whip. I’m straight & have a little girl crush 😊Especially when she shows us her sweet
🐶❤️Truman❤🐶 cutest little wiener dog. She should have her own show.
SAME! She is very charming.
Same here!
Yepppp 😍
Judge Manning used to be a cop. That makes sense with her no nonsense, no BS attitude. I also bet she NEVER missed a court date as a cop.
We need a Judge Manning 'pre-trialllllll' figure to go with the screaming goat.
Maybe dismiss a case or two and then they might start showing up.
That touching moment in Simpson's court had me wiping tears from my eyes...in the Vet's waiting room waiting for my cat to have bloodwork done. Im sure no one looked at me funny at all.
😂
Me too, but at least as I was sitting in the bathroom behind a closed door lol (intentionally!)
He's fussing about 90 days....some of these folks have been waiting 600+ days without an arraignment.
Not exactly something to brag about though is it?
@@jaihawkins ya, the big C got them all backed up. Quarantine and zoom got that county in slow mo mode.
I can understand why she is so good she can see the police perspective and the lawyers what an asset to the community ❤❤❤❤
He can no longer claim self defense if he walked away and then came back with a knife. He had the chance to walk away and call the police instead he chose violence.
I ordered my husband a screaming goat for a stocking stuffer, can't wait for his reaction. 😂😂🐐🐐🐐
🤩
The barber robbery/assault guy needs to go away as a dangerous, habitual offender!
👍
It sounds like he chose the target because the owner might be vulnerable due to his age..... there was no need for that level of violence..... he was angry
Attorney Gallagher is very professional.
Interesting that Judge Manning was a police officer. Gives us an insight into what she says.
Love Judge Simpson. Nuf said...(yes, I'm crying)
She was also in the military, and later became a firefighter.
Oh, Mike, thank you so much for closing out this episode with Judge Simpson's acknowledgement of Attorney Gallagher. How sweet -- and telling -- that so many attorneys from both tables popped in to take part in this tribute. Mr. Gallagher will be missed, but I am happy for him in his career move. Tears, indeed. 💖
Judge Simpson is a doll!!! I'll miss Gallagher. They are both kind, hard working amazing men!! Thanks Mike 😊 💜💜💜
Just when you mentioned how Miss Jackson really does have a soothing voice, I was thinking, "man, she's saying the most horrible things, but she is lulling me to sleep." Definitely she should read bed time stories for BILLIONS OF $$.
Great stream. Sorry I missed it live again. What a sweet send-off for Attorney Gallagher. Gonna miss those headphones. Judge Manning is calmer lately. What's up with that?
Well, I knew if I watched enough Fulton County calls, I'd eventually see somebody I knew. Today was the day! Thanks for giving me the opportunity, Mike 😂😝
I have a step-daughter and her long term SO living right outside in Cobb county. I live in fear of seeing one of them show up one day (I technically live in GA but have been in Chicago for the past year and a half helping out some family members with health care issues)
Caught up on alot of these while I was waiting in the hospital from 1pm to 11pm. busy day meant I can watch my court reactions
My dad grew up in Kansas, and back in the day when you could get at least half a tank for 5 dollars, and the gas station attendant would walk up to your window after you ran over the ding-ding cord, he asked for "fi-dollars-a-regular" almost every time. Maybe "fi-dollars" was a Kansas thing. He had a lot of them. Eventually lost his accent, living in northern Illinois for decades, but visiting relatives in Kansas, his accent and little Kansas phrases came right back into his speech.
What's the over-under for when we'll be watching Judge Gallagher online? 8 1/2 yrs is my guess.
Thank you for showing the goat. Hope you get A commission! Had to order it for my friend who is a nurse who works on the phone, Drs patients, and insurance cos. So the goat will co.e in handy to blow off some frustration! And btw, the judge Simpson bit was a tear jerker!
They just had a story on the news tonight about some courts releasing even violent felons because there were not enough public defenders.
Mike, thank you for your content. I really enjoy watching it. I have a question though, what does it mean when a defendant has x amount of cycles?
I don’t know I don’t do criminal. I take it to mean arrests or police interactions but honestly I’m not sure.
Judge Simpson, taking a moment as the onion ninjas made a surprise attack. Mr Gallagher you will be missed.
As his last case, the ID cards are made different in Washtenaw County, from door attacks, to slashing tires.
Why in the hell can’t these people, who are always in trouble, do like the rest of us and that is keep their license valid, keep their registration up to date and pay their insurance?
Not surprised at all that Judge Manning was a LEO in her former life! I can totally see that!
How is it that it seems that so many of these lawyers can not speak a full sentence without uttering multiple "Uhs, Ahs, and Ers" ? Your friend Debera (the prosecutor) could very well give most of them English lessons.
Gallagher is a really good lawyer, and it seems an ever better man
The prosecutor in Atlanta needs to be fined $5.00 every time he says UM. He does it as much as 8 times in a sentence. Make him stop it and take a speech class.
It is really annoying lol.
I’ve actually heard that some attorneys will add “filler” words like “uhm” or “like” if they’re trying to think of an argument on the spot. They don’t want to sit there in silence because it gives the appearance of being blindsided or unprepared (I also believe if you take too long to speak the judge can and will skip over you.) So they basically spew random words until they can form a legitimate response.
Another good example is Amber Heard’s 2016 deposition. If you pay attention every time opposing council asks a question she take a bite of her food. This gives her a few extra seconds to think about her answer and there really isn’t anything anyone can do about it because she can’t talk with her mouthful lol
It’s tacky and irritating to watch, but it works! Everytime I see something like this going on I just try to tell myself it’s a tactic and it’s on purpose…even if it’s not it keeps me from getting annoyed with the “uhms” and “likes” 😅😂
Judge Manning needs a T-shirt that says pre trial.😂😂😂😂😂
Love me some OutKast!! Great live Mike !! Still living for that screaming goat !!
Thank you
Judge Manning Rocks
I love that fact that you show a lot of Judge Manning now. It makes me feel at home kinda. The area I’m from is an hr and some change from ATL. I Love all of these southern judges you’ve been showing but Judge Manning is my favorite for sure. Attorney Gallagher will most definitely be missed… I know we all will miss the interactions between he and judge Simpson.
I want to clarify something...my teasing below is minimal and in good humor. I adore the legal system like a school girl crush. Everybody rocks their rolls!
Yes! We love Judge Manning! Have some more kind words, Judge. Your character, humor, wit, and even occasional lack of patience makes me love watching you all the more.
Class act, both of them, Judge Simpson & Attorney Gallagher.
you would not let a defendant to get by with this, why let the pros get by either. That is BS
That was my exact thought. When I was an officer it was a requirement for the job. It’s disrespectful to the court & badge & oath. They aren’t any better than any other person, if you don’t show on a subpoena, you get a warrant!
The funny part, the officer was in court yesterday and she told him.he could keep his hat on because he needed a haircut😂🤣
Glad to see there's continuity in this live TV show.
😂🤣😂
It is common knowledge and show of respect to remove your hat in court.
The gas stations in Fulton County are going broke and don't know why.
That made me tear up at the end with the judge’s words for Mr. Gallagher ❤
Just ordered my goat!!!! I think we should all learn to speak like Judge Manning. Preeeeeeetrial!!!! Is there nothing she can't do? Auctioneer. Hairclipping/shaving!!!! GOAT
I'm glad you showed the sweet send-off on Atty Gallagher. There was a lot going on in Simpson's docket today. Including a guy who appeared as a Cat 🐱 earlier in the docket & came up later in a funny exchange with the PD and the Judge. 😃
A cat?? Lol that’s funny.
Give me the time stamp on that cat situation
@@jellysofa he turned on a filter and didn't realize everyone could see it apparently. It was pretty great seeing the reactions of everyone. Atty Sam Bernstein was tickled by it. I have it recorded but didn't share it anywhere yet.
@@LawTalkWithMike his case is called at 1:16:58 and referenced again at 2:56:19
The "ummmmm" and lip smacking is pushing me toward needing bail.
If you’re banned from Waffle House…😂….. you have to be a special kinda awful!!!! 80% of their clientele are eating a meal of shame, that’ll never stay down!
He a great PD. I work for a PD office and he’s very good. Thanked his clients. That’s a class act.
Who couldn’t just adore Atty Gallagher? It’s going to be so sad not seeing and hearing him in these videos anymore!😢 I know we all are wishing him the best! Good Luck Gallagher, if you ever see these!! ❤️
90% of the time, here in Seattle, if you contest a simple speeding/parking ticket, the cop will not show up.
Sorry I had to miss this one live! I saw the goodbye and it was GREAT! Hope the week has been good! Mine was rough for work, but now it's the weekend! Yay!!!
This Judge Alec’s is such a badass. You can tell she loves her job, she is thorough, and has such great respect for all her counterparts. Keep showing all of her cases lol.
1:13:35 I like to request Judge Simpson for my funeral. I am not crying. It is raining outside.
PS: look outside at the sunny day
I can't believe that Judge Manning let that joker testify with that stupid hat on. Come on Judge Manning.
Agree, disrespectful. I was shocked she allowed it
Mike, you ALWAYS deliver!
I remember his first few cases in front of Judge Simpson and his headphones I will always remember his headphones I love the headphones on Mr Gallagher
Emily D Baker got one of those screaming goats gifted to her as well.
I have just bought one for my son's birthday because of this hahaha
So sweet. Mr Gallagher was always a pleasure to watch. It was obvious he worked for the clients. He was always pleasant and professional. Best wishes to him in the future. He will be missed.
Good evening Mike, hope your doing well. We're still cleaning up after the multiple tornadoes we had a couple days ago here in Louisiana.
Hope everyone is ok. I love Louisiana.
Hopefully it didn’t tear y’all up too bad…
I'm glad you're with us to post!
Check this cop, leading by example. So disrespectful to wear a hat in the court, let alone a beanie!
Our system is truly broken when the state provides housing for homeless people to let them out of jail after they commit violent felonies. Unbelievable
It sounds like some body's opening beers.
Love that Amazon’s algorithm will be screwed up by LTWM.
🤩
The grandmother sounds like a saint - 7 kids and 4 grandkids, and wants to look after more kids. Sheesh!
She was a cop.... That makes sooooo much more sense!
I'm not crying, sir!💜
Love you Mike! Merry Christmas, my friend! ❤
Merry Christmas to you
Judge Manning was a cop?!?! I love it!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Why is the cop wearing a watch cap in Judge Manning’s court?
Truly brought a tear to my eye. So sweet. Thank you for sharing
I've already seen the Gallagher clip, but it still brought tears to my eyes 😭
This is why I love Judge Simpson!!!!!! Good Luck to Attorney Gallagher!!!!!! Loved seeing all the other attorneys, jumping on for his send off!!!!! Thanks Mike
I want to plan a road trip to visit some of these courtrooms in person😂
Did you take muffins to the deposition?
You named the screaming goat after Deborah? Too funny.
Miss Jackson is guiding The Warriors home when not on screen in Court. As for Mr Gallagher’s send off, well deserved and fitting. As was the reply, particularly to Judge Simpson. It must be touching to be so well regarded by your peers. Justice with compassion. Both have set great examples of this rare qualities.
Judge Manning is A#1 in my book of “Fun and on Point “ book .
Judge Manning was a cop? Interesting would like to know her career path before she became judge! 😍🙏🏾
She was also a marine drill sergeant.
I was visiting with my mom and she was in the kitchen cooking while I was in the living room watching this, and when she walked into the room she heard the screaming goat. You should have seen the look she gave me! 😂 I tried to explain that I was watching a court case (I have two brothers that went to law school) She wasn’t buying it until I showed her the screen, and I attempted to explain the screaming goat. 🐐 😂 Although I’m grown and own my own home (yes I made a rhyme to Honor Judge Manning singing OutKast) I’ll probably be grounded for life because I couldn’t stop laughing while trying to explain the screaming goat lil Mike. I laughed so hard that I had an asthma attack, so I shall now be known as “ lil’ wheezie.” 😂 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
22:28 Are the prosecutor and defendant in Judge Manning's court labelled backwards? Otherwise, it seems the lady in custody sat next to the prosecutor.
Darn, the higher court has ruled in court court proceedings, no more ZOOM. I love ZOOM court. I get to see court proceedings that I would never get to see without ZOOM. Will someone appeal this decision???
I'm so sad we lost him!😭 The really depressing thing is we only have Judge Simpson for about two more weeks. 💔😭
Just as much as I dislike attorneys saying, "ax" for "ask", I really dislike "uh" or "ah". I'm picky.
I’m with you
That send off by Judge Simpson was truly touching!🥰❤️. I knew I liked him for a reason.🙂
1:15:47 sooo sweet and look at how many joined! 🙌🏿🙌🏿❤️ He's a really sweet guy and the judge will truly miss him ❤
Judge Manning ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂she is epic😹😹😹😹
Mr Gallagher, thank you. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What gets me here...is the channel appears to be Judge Manning's and not the county .....and Judge Manning has bits ...lol...the defendants would hate me as a judge...it would be a behind the bench comedy routine every day
Sadly according to Byrd Judge Judy dropped him like a hot potato and was really pride to him all those years. I always thought they were great friends. Guess not all is at it seems.
I love the they could have gone out the back argument….was there a fire escape? Loose skylight?
