That thing is expensive to put on the case, including engraved case back. The quality is also there, can't deny that. All in all, I've collected 7 Invictas so far and will and few models more.

@@SillytanN so then if that's the case how come you're not bashing on casio, seiko, citizen, timex, oris, orient and so many others that have taken the same look and made it their own?
Quality is the wrong term. The Pro Diver has serious problems with water getting into the watch and starts working highly inaccurately about half a year after its been built, since the main spring system is of low component quality. This is obviously a promoted video with a bought opinion.
@@agoatwithnonamd That's not a problem on every watch. I use mine regularly under water, and it runs about 1 second a day fast. It's around 3 years old now. Not the best bang for buck I've had so far, but easily top 3.
I've only recently gotten into watches and the invicta pro diver was one of my first buys. I think it's an entry level piece and offers acceptable value for the money. So far it keeps good time and the looks aren't bad either.
Cool watch. And great review! A Submariner is my 'if I win the lottery' dream, but living in the real world and with a limited budget for my watch fetish, I ignored the Invicta haters and bought a Pro Diver 2 weeks ago. It has replaced my Orient Ray 2 as my daily watch, and I couldn't be happier with my choice to buy it. Only complaint with mine is that a couple of the applied indices are slightly off center, other than that, best $83 I've spent on a watch.
I know this is 4 years old, but curious as to what you like more about the Pro Diver than the Ray 2? Personally I bought a Pro Diver simply because it’s cheaper, but part of me wishes I had saved for the Ray 2.
I'm new to watches and now have 4 of these invictas. They range from Douchey, oversized, classy and sporty. One for every occasion. Some of them overlap (oversized douche watch or classy sport watch) it's all great fun.
I like the fact they HAVE the ridiculously large watches. It's like the wealthy American attitude with the excessive flashiness and huge pickup trucks and all that. I am planning on getting the huge 70mm gold sea hunter. I mean there's A MILLION submariner type watches out there and similar seiko and casio and even citizens. All the SAME size, the SAME general style, the same SAME..... and you've got people looking at them all closely trying to pretend they're markedly different, sooking about 2mm too big or too small blah blah....... and yet there's NOT THAT MUCH difference to look at. It's rare to NEED to use them for the time, it's more the jewelry of men these days. I work in an environment that would destroy my phone so just have a digital watch for work.
Seiko 5 is higher in price. This watch can be had for $82.00 U.S dollars on Amazon. This watch is perfect for people getting into doing yourself modding .
The NH35A movement is actually superior and more modern than the seiko 5’s 7s26. You see the pro diver’s seiko NH35A movement in some of seiko’s $200-$500 watches, so if you can score a pro diver for around the same price as a seiko 5 you’re getting a steal-at least from a purely mechanical perspective.
I bought the quartz version of this watch in 2022. The battery finally needed to be replaced in December of last year. Amazon was running a special when I bought it and I got it for $35. Yes, I buy cheap watches. I had a very inexpensive submariner style watch when I was in high school and this watch makes that one look like a toy. It's extremely accurate and, in my opinion, looks great on my wrist. I smile whenever I check the time. One of the Invicta automatic watches would definitely be great but I'm totally satisfied with my quartz.
I have a whole box full of invictas. I love em. Ill never afford a real rolex. Half thier cost is probably just the name anyways. Invicta does a good job with a watch that im not worried if i crash into something.
I've owned this watch-- bought it in a vacuum; (which pretty much means: I researched the crap out of it, so that I knew the quality was there, but without finding out about the severe, often illogical bias that now exists in the watch community...) The only reason I sold it was because it reminded me of an ex-wife I really didn't want to be reminded of by my watch... Other than that, for the $65 I paid at the time, I got a great watch with a great Seiko movement. Excellent video!
The good movement from Seiko (hacking and handwinding) and the solid link bracelet are pretty much wich propels this watch up. Very good offer for this price point.
I am the very 😊 owner of my 49 year old 5513 Submariner and just got a Pro Diver to wear in the city while my real Rolex is in for maintenence. Pro Diver is a fine piece, strap is super comfortable and my only complaint is the weak lumen....Seiko is great too, I can say it is fantastic price for a good looking homage watch so I dont wear it to show off, my Rolex has been om my wrist for 49 years night and day.....has over 16,000 hours flying all around the world
Only thing I don’t like is that logo etched on the side but like you said a sleeve most likely covers that anyway. The quartz is half the price too so I’ll most likely grab one as my first diver
At the moment, 19th of April 2023, Amazon UK are selling this watch which includes a 50% discount for £59.00!! That's about $68. USD. I've bought one. Thanks for another great video Ben.
Somehow I just found your review! I'd better turn on notification! I've had the scalloped model since 2008, wore it at my retail job, it takes a beating when in the warehouse, and polish up nice, I've been slammed by customers who thought I was wearing a Rolex, while others thought I was very successful as a salesman. My new Kittie Bubu, is a snob, he picked up watch off bedside out of 5 other watches, ran off! Now 2 Christmas later, I still haven't found it! Great review!!!
I own dozens of Invicta watches. The 8926ob (reviewed in this video) is one of my favorites, and I wear it the most often of all my Invicta watches. I get a lot of compliments in this watch, the most from idiot table games players at the casino that say "Nice Rolex." I thank them and tell them I won it in a poker game😂😂. I don't play poker. Anyway. This watch definitely belongs in the "cool" category.
Love the Invicta Pro and Grand diver. They have every movement from ETa, Silleta 200, 500 and val 7750 to name just a few. Invicta Boxes are amazing not crap like Seiko and Rolex. Great Video and Thanks for sharing.
My rolex has a beautiful leather box with perfect white stitching, and the interior has a beautiful wood finish with a nice velvet interior...... My Invicta box is a big yellow box with some cheap yellow filling.
Seen a lot of people complain getting water in the watch. You shouldn't be buying automatic mechanical watch if you don't even know how to screw the crown.
What Ben didn't say was the Seiko NH35A movement is hackable and windable as well as automatic, they can keep very good time, so, essentially a very good movement at a low price.
I have several diver pros and I wear them everywhere. The only change I make is to sand the entire stainless sell band to make it less shiny. Easy to do with an inexpensive watch.
I love my Invicta pro divers, hard to beat what you get for such a low cost. Invicta also makes many other watches I have because of their quality and value for money. I have 40+ Invicta watches and have never received a bad one or have any issues all my invicta watches are still in perfect working order, which isn’t something I can say about many other watch makers. Great video.
13 years ago I was looking for a weekend beater watch. I knew next to nothing about watches. Did not know what a "submariner" was...never heard of Invicta. Amazon had this watch for around $60 with a rubber strap. I figured that was pretty cheap so I got it. Here we are 13 years later and all I've done is replace the strap about 2 years ago. I'm not into the whole "they ripped off Rolex" thing. Why not copy a classic (let's face it, we see what happens when the Invicta designers come up with their own ideas!! Yikes!) It's a damn good looking dial and frankly, I take a certain delight in knowing its origins...
Cool. You said it yourself it's top quality for the price and it's going to introduce more people to the world of watches. I like Invicta pro-diver quarts version. I needed to treat myself to a watch and didn't have much money, I got it on special offer from Amazon for £45. It was my daily for an entire year once I changed the strap for a Nato one. I actually love this watch. Yes the steel graining on my looks like it was done by a 2 year old with a brick, It's been a solid work horse and I have no complaints. Hope this helps.
I've had one for quite a few years now. The only thing I didn't like was the engraving on the side. I also got the 1953 a few years later and like everything about it for what it was. Finally I decided to remove the side Logo and the Logo from the clasp as well. Used a Scotch Brite pad to remove all of the polished finish from the case and the middle links of the bracelet and now wish I had done that sooner. For me. less is more and I really like the appearance of it.
Hello Ben, I am a bit of a fan of the Invicta Pro Divers and I have the 8926OB, 8926BRB and the 31290 vintage Pro Diver(1953). They all cost in the region of £88.00 each and from out of the box the 1953 was running at +2 to +3 seconds a day, and the 8926OB, despite the fact that I’m a beginner, I managed to regulate it to +3 seconds a day. The lesser known 8926BRB is a limited edition watch with a Pepsi bezel, sapphire crystal with a proper 2.5X cyclops and a nearly solid case back which shows various information which shows my watch being Number 2160/25000 and a small 8mm round window over the balance wheel. I have also ordered a sapphire crystal to put on the 1953, which also happens to be the year that I was born. As I said, I very much like the Pro Diver range and I’m happy to wear them.
I'va had mine for about 5 months and it's great value for money. It runs at -3 sec/day, measured over a week, which is -0.00347% accurate. A chronometer required to be accurate to -4/+6 seconds per day. It was assembled in Malaysia and I got it from Hong Kong.
What do some stretches of the video have just blurred white screen? Is this something already done before uploading or is it some copyright think which was later edited on UA-cam. I only see these sort of things on Ben's channel.
@@Fab-sp1fj yup work perfectly fine took one to the Dominican swam in salt water for 2-3 days rinsed it off after and it’s was perfectly fine problem is even tho they have a system that winds it I feel as if I always end up doing it manually but over all 9/10
I just bought a Pro Diver 8928OB for $45 on Amazon (limited time deal, go check it out and get it while you can). This watch has a Seiko NH35A movement! That, alone, is worth $45! 🤣 My bezel has NO (not even a TINY bit of) play in it. NO PLAY! The bezel perfectly matches up with the hours, too. Looks like I lucked out then, eh? ☺️ Well worth the money! For the price? This watch is definitely cool. We don't go by what snobby people think. We go by objectivity and when considering the price, this watch is 100% cool. ☺️
0:37 on the soviet navy thing, Zlatoust disputes this and from what i’ve read, Soviet records don’t back Invicta up. Which makes modern invicta’s use of the Zlatust-style “Russian Diver” dubious
I have one of these with the Miyota/Citizen movement and further modified with a bead blasted case to remove the branding and then a different dial and handset that completely change the appearance of this watch? It's a great starting point for modding a good basic watch!
I've had this model of Invicta for about six months now. It's of the same quality more or less as a Seiko 5 automatic sports watch (I have one) plus it has hand winding and hacking. I've immersed it under water for about five minutes and it doesn't let in any water. There is, however one report I know of of someone who wore this watch intermittently when going into salt water and after about sixth months the circular tension spring under the bezel corroded and had to be replaced. Not a great watch but not a bad one either.
Yeah I guess the water resistance might have been compromised but they could have also failed to screw the crown in all the way so unless it's a controlled test you can't go by a report I mean what's the guy gonna say hey I was a fumbled and failed to screw down the crown properly,or would be more likely say the watch failed I did everything right but it leaked! I know what people will do to not make themselves look bad!
Same thing happens to the legendary volstok amphibia. The problem is due to two different metals meeting together and one e they go into saltwater they corrode!
I've had a #3049 Grand Diver since 2013 and it still looks as good as the day I got it. It still functions just as well too. However, the Grand Diver is far better quality than the standard Pro Diver.
The Mercedes symbol on the hour hand is the Rising Star - representing land, sea, air. I didn't know that. Quite cool. And I love the Invicta engraving on the side of the case.
Mine gets more accurate through the years. I regulated it. Loses 20sec at night vertical and 3 down and gains around 25 a day when worn. Not bad for the 80 euros spent some years ago. Pretty happy all in all.
I am a Rolex owner as well as the owner of the Invicta Pro Diver. I can honestly say that the Invicta has run well and is a perfect daily watch to wear. I will not say that the Invicta is on par with the Rolex but, it will make you wonder if the thousands more for the Rolex is really worth it.
I do have a question. Is this watch good for being out in the field as I am currently in the army and I want a watch that I can wear out in the field. I do have a G shock which is banging but I am looking for something a bit more fancy but also durable. 😅
I've had great experience with this model, it's accurate, way better timekeeping than my skx 007 or Sumo, I used to own. Sure the lume is not as strong but the overall specs and value margin make up for those nitpicks. If it ever breaks no big deal it cost me only 80 bucks. Had mine for over 5 years, no complaints. It's a keeper
Ben's Watch Club I actually did it like this: I use the original coin bezel and bought one with a white dial and swap, I installed a single dome sapphire crystal and a got a ceramic bezel. The other watch it was a gift for a friend of mine who also like watches but is not so picky like I am. Believe me, it looks amazing!
I vote for "cool"-- I owned the non-coin edge bezel version & it was a fantastic time piece that worked better than expected given the low $65 price... (*Btw, Ben, you're right about the non-coin being hard to grasp... That was something I didn't care for at all.) The biggest 'con' for me, tho, (& the main reason I sold it) was that it kept getting mistaken for a Subby. As a result, I kept being judged by 'professional' acquaintances of mine, for trying to be something I wasn't. Of course, that wasn't true (after all, when I bought it, I figured the non-coin bezel plus the HUGOMONGOUS engraving on the case would make it painfully obvious that the watch WASN'T a Submariner). But, you just can't control the stupidity of others-- 😒🔫 Alas, it kept happening, so I sold my Invicta & went with something that wasn't a Submariner look-a-like. My advice? I'm "older & wiser" since then, so I can honestly say: If you like the watch, tell other ppl who want to judge you for it to f*ck off. These days, I've drunk deeply of the "Casio cool-aid." Still wear "more expensive" watches from time to time, but my G-shock and my F-91Ws have become my 'go to' time pieces...fwiw.
It’s so funny how Invicta can make some hideous giant watches, but then also make some of the best looking watches for great value I own 3 pro divers cus I like color variety for different outfits, I’m actually about to get a green pro diver soon lmfao Also this is really late so I’m sure you already know, but invicta does have multiple sizes for the pro divers. They got 36, 40, 44 and 47mm sizes, not all of the different colors have all sizes but across all pro divers they do have size variety
An awesome watch for the price. I got mine in quartz because it has a smaller dial (37 mm if I'm not mistaken) which suits me better due to my thin wrist
Cool. I own this watch and I also own a 2017 Submariner date. This watch is my daily beater and it hasn't failed me... The looks slightly better on the wrist because it's thinner...
I have the 9937 version with the ETA 2824. It’s a fine watch, which never skipped a beat. It’s the only Invicta I would buy, since the new designs are ridiculous. It was my first automatic watch, which started things so many years ago.
For someone who isn't that in to watches this is a great watch. It feels and looks good. I don't care if it's a "fake rolex" i just wanted a nice looking watch and i got it. Highly recommand to anyone whos just looking for a stylish watch.
Many of the popular watch channels claimed this watch had a sapphire crystal, so I was pissed off when I discovered that wasn't the case after buying one. I'm glad I've subbed to you, because much like your other channel, it's clear you're putting time into research and giving out accurate info (in addition to excellent production quality)! Can't wait for more Ben ✌
I own Omegas, Movado, and several others that are vintage and unique. But I also own a small collection of Invicta watches. I love to wear them. They're fun and you don't have to worry about them when you're out and about. Most are good quality and they make many fun styles to choose from. ❤️
The greates advantage that comes with this watch is that it cones in many different sizes. You can get it with a 38mm, 40mm, 42mm, 43mm or even 47mm dial. Also, you can get it with verious colors. I specially like the brown version as you do not find this color that often on other brands

@@SillytanN so then if that's the case how come you're not bashing on casio, seiko, citizen, timex, oris, orient and so many others that have taken the same look and made it their own?
@@skylarkcs3863 r u comparing brands which have factories producing inhouse movement to this crap? seriously?
I've gotten so many compliments wearing this very watch. I love it!!!
I bought mine about 10 years ago can't be happier with this great movement
I've had this watch since 2010 and it still looks and works great. I took a chance even after reading the reviews. Glad I did.
It’s cool. Price can’t be beat for the quality you get.
It's all about value for the looks, but most people forget about that when looking at exclusive, expensive, and popular brands like Rolex.
what's that watch in your profile picture?
Quality is the wrong term. The Pro Diver has serious problems with water getting into the watch and starts working highly inaccurately about half a year after its been built, since the main spring system is of low component quality. This is obviously a promoted video with a bought opinion.
@@agoatwithnonamd That's not a problem on every watch.
I use mine regularly under water, and it runs about 1 second a day fast.
It's around 3 years old now.
Not the best bang for buck I've had so far, but easily top 3.
You can, if you buy the Pagani Design Subby homage.
I've only recently gotten into watches and the invicta pro diver was one of my first buys. I think it's an entry level piece and offers acceptable value for the money. So far it keeps good time and the looks aren't bad either.
The INVICTA logo engraving is part i love
Robert Lewis My Invicta winged logo came off mine within 8 months. I wish yours only the best of luck!!
I know this is 4 years old, but curious as to what you like more about the Pro Diver than the Ray 2? Personally I bought a Pro Diver simply because it’s cheaper, but part of me wishes I had saved for the Ray 2.
I just got this for like $50 because of an Amazon deal
I have had one for 4 years and find it incredibly versatile and a great daily.
I just paid $112 CAD for this on Amazon. I'm looking forward to getting it as a beach watch. Thanks for the review.
I'm a nurse and wear my Invicta Pro Diver to work it takes a beating .My patients think its a Rolex and I always get compliments
I wear one daily and I'm not kind to it. It has lasted me years with no issue. Can't beat it for the money
It’s cool. Best value watch under 100, tied with the Seiko 5 imo
Only thing is the Seiko 5 doesn’t hack, and doesn’t have hand winding.
The invicta can go diving, the seiko 5 can’t and I own seikos
@MultiWizeman Whoo!
One of the Invicta automatic watches would definitely be great but I'm totally satisfied with my quartz.
i got one as my first diver watch and I really like it.
I have the quartz version and it has continuously worked since I bought it.
I have a whole box full of invictas. I love em. Ill never afford a real rolex. Half thier cost is probably just the name anyways. Invicta does a good job with a watch that im not worried if i crash into something.
I've owned this watch-- bought it in a vacuum;
(which pretty much means: I researched the crap out of it, so that I knew the quality was there, but without finding out about the severe, often illogical bias that now exists in the watch community...)
The only reason I sold it was because it reminded me of an ex-wife I really didn't want to be reminded of by my watch...
Other than that, for the $65 I paid at the time, I got a great watch with a great Seiko movement.
Excellent video!
me too I love it
The good movement from Seiko (hacking and handwinding) and the solid link bracelet are pretty much wich propels this watch up. Very good offer for this price point.
Invicta really good watch ,just I brought it and I feeling good ,I love my invicta watch
Just ordered mine for 60 euros on Amazon during black Friday. Great review btw
No brand has open back for their Diver collection in under $500
I liked the yellow box. Reminds me of Rolex!
Which colour is best in this model black or golden blue dial?
I have an older one with the NH25A movement. Everyone loves this watch.
I was looking for a diver watch under 100. This watch is so beautiful
i have the quartz version. i use at as a work watch and it sure can take a beating great value
What Ben didn't say was the Seiko NH35A movement is hackable and windable as well as automatic, they can keep very good time, so, essentially a very good movement at a low price.
Given time this watch will become a classic in its own right! I have just purchased one and I shall soon be 81 years of age.
It’s a great looking watch. Great movement too.
Yikes!) It's a damn good looking dial and frankly, I take a certain delight in knowing its origins...
i got shocked when i saw hair
Same here. I thought I was in the wrong video for a second.
Same LMAO 🤣 😅
I just picked up the quartz version, I plan on wearing it for daily use.
Got 2 of these can’t go wrong.
I have an 8926 but I want the 1953 too as I also was born in that year.
I'va had mine for about 5 months and it's great value for money. It runs at -3 sec/day, measured over a week, which is -0.00347% accurate. A chronometer required to be accurate to -4/+6 seconds per day. It was assembled in Malaysia and I got it from Hong Kong.
I bought it and put it on Bond nato strap. Regular people know a Rolex but have no clue what a Submariner is or any other Rolex models.
The rotor is not custom, they put a 'custom' sticker on it though.
Cool. I just got one and they are fantastic watches. Look nice and the Invicta engraving on side I like.
What do some stretches of the video have just blurred white screen? Is this something already done before uploading or is it some copyright think which was later edited on UA-cam. I only see these sort of things on Ben's channel.
Watching with 1 on 😊
Picked up 3 of these and don’t regret it
Have you tryed them underwater?
@@Fab-sp1fj yup work perfectly fine took one to the Dominican swam in salt water for 2-3 days rinsed it off after and it’s was perfectly fine problem is even tho they have a system that winds it I feel as if I always end up doing it manually but over all 9/10
1:14 why is this part of the video white and blurry? I've noticed this happen with a lot of this channel's videos.
Do enjoy wearing mine. Solid feel on the wrist but not overly so.
Why do you dislike the quarts version?
0:37 on the soviet navy thing, Zlatoust disputes this and from what i’ve read, Soviet records don’t back Invicta up. Which makes modern invicta’s use of the Zlatust-style “Russian Diver” dubious
I wasn't sure about buying this watch at $89 but Amazon Prime happened and knocked it down to $55, here in the US. It'll be here Saturday......
The older versions did not have the invicta logo engraved on the side. I believe they had to do that.
How do you feel about the quartz version?
Watches should be rinsed after being in salt water.
I've had a #3049 Grand Diver since 2013 and it still looks as good as the day I got it. It still functions just as well too. However, the Grand Diver is far better quality than the standard Pro Diver.
I have the 8932 and its slimmer and smaller and a great daily driver.
Simple, versatile & affordable love it!
Stop hate Invicta!
They look really good with a NATO band on them too.
Can you suggest a brand of watch strap?
Wrist candy watch club, geckota
What do you think is a better value- the pro diver or the casio efv-100d?
Totally different territory as the Invicta is a mechanical automatic, not quartz.
is anybody else experiencing blurry sections of the video? for example at the 1m15s point. i’m noticing on other videos as well.
Just got one for $70 with the scalloped bezel off amazon. Comes tomorrow!
The Mercedes symbol on the hour hand is the Rising Star - representing land, sea, air. I didn't know that. Quite cool. And I love the Invicta engraving on the side of the case.
This vs seiko....which one will be better...i am planning to buy my first automatic watch
Some love to hate it because it works and works well.
I do have a question. Is this watch good for being out in the field as I am currently in the army and I want a watch that I can wear out in the field. I do have a G shock which is banging but I am looking for something a bit more fancy but also durable. 😅
Which model is best?
I've had great experience with this model, it's accurate, way better timekeeping than my skx 007 or Sumo, I used to own. Sure the lume is not as strong but the overall specs and value margin make up for those nitpicks. If it ever breaks no big deal it cost me only 80 bucks. Had mine for over 5 years, no complaints. It's a keeper
Great video. I upgraded mine with a ceramic bezel and a single dome sapphire crystal, a nice leather strap and it looks BEYOND FANTASTIC!!!!
I bet that performs really well! You gone with the 40mm version as well?
Ben's Watch Club I actually did it like this: I use the original coin bezel and bought one with a white dial and swap, I installed a single dome sapphire crystal and a got a ceramic bezel.
The other watch it was a gift for a friend of mine who also like watches but is not so picky like I am.
Believe me, it looks amazing!
Yes, 40mm.
Regards from Lansing Michigan.
could you tell me where did you buy the sapphire crystal please?
Nicolas Videla it’s a 30mm single dome sapphire no anti reflective from Long Island Watches, you can find videos from that other channel.
I vote for "cool"--
I owned the non-coin edge bezel version & it was a fantastic time piece that worked better than expected given the low $65 price...
(*Btw, Ben, you're right about the non-coin being hard to grasp... That was something I didn't care for at all.)
The biggest 'con' for me, tho, (& the main reason I sold it) was that it kept getting mistaken for a Subby.
But, you just can't control the stupidity of others--
😒🔫
Alas, it kept happening, so I sold my Invicta & went with something that wasn't a Submariner look-a-like.
It’s so funny how Invicta can make some hideous giant watches, but then also make some of the best looking watches for great value
I own 3 pro divers cus I like color variety for different outfits, I’m actually about to get a green pro diver soon lmfao
Also this is really late so I’m sure you already know, but invicta does have multiple sizes for the pro divers. They got 36, 40, 44 and 47mm sizes, not all of the different colors have all sizes but across all pro divers they do have size variety
What about accuracy?
For about $100 (or less), it's unbeatable 🌟
Thanks so much for the comment Luke! I do my best to be accurate in the videos, if I do make a mistake I'll put it in the comments normally 👍
There is a pro diver model with a sapphire crystal, swiss movement, solid endlinks and a much better clasp but it costs about $300.
It's a sapphire coated mineral crystal. Likely similar to hardlex(?) from seiko. So they weren't entirely wrong, just not entirely correct.
Maybe I was unlucky but on mine the bezel stopped turning after like 2 months and it clicks when you push down on it lol
My bro bought one of these. Looks cool and it has been reliable for a couple of years now.
