    Congratulations! I've entertained the idea of selling some gear and buying one, but it's a huge sacrifice and I'm content. Sounds great and looks gorgeous. Maybe I'll hit the lottery and buy one, but I'd still hold on to my amps. I know you must be excited and feel surreal having that baby in your home. Happy for ya!

      So true! I plan on doing a comparison of the clean channels, probably next week. I still think the Sig is a phenomenal amp and can be just as good an investment for players. Hands down still the best amp purchase I ever made!

    Wow! Congrats Mark! 🎉 That is my dream amp too. Sounds amazing, a lot of mid/low mid which is good. I thought you're content with your Studio Signature, never expect this coming. The Bloomfield looks gorgeous with that 2x12 cab. 👌Looking forward to hear more of this Beast.
    I'm following your channel. I love your demos/reviews, not overly produced which is really cool. I can even hear the difference between your CS Strat vs Silver Sky (may you tell us about your setting of the String-Singer in this particular demo/review). And we also like you sharing your honest opinions in the gears that you review. More power Mark cheers 🍻🤘🇵🇭

    Congrats on getting your dream amp Mark! Really happy for you ...I'd say that out of all the current 'Big Boy' amps that Two Rock offers, The BD would be my choice as well. Tell me ...is the EQ2 voicing the Matt Schofield Voicing? Great playing too, as always!

    I've currently got 3 Dr Z Amps and want something different in the arsenal. I'm seriously considering this, in combo form. I want an amp that can give me clean, Dirty, lead and reverb all in one. I've gone off pedals so much.
    I once had 40 pedals and now I'm down to 8 and only use a board of 4 99% of the time. I'm aiming to get down to a drive and a slap delay with this potential set up.
    My question is what made you choose the Bloomfield over the CRS & TS1?

    • @markhopkinsmusic
      @markhopkinsmusic  7 місяців тому +1

      Nice, man. Thats a killer rig you already have. Honestly the Bloomfield appealed to me because one of my friends played on my last record and he used just the dirty channel for his slide solo and I was blown away. I actually just did a video last week explaining how I finally figured out how I like to run it… after two years haha Better late than never

    Hey man, congrats on the amp. I remember we had a chat in the youtube comments about the Studio sig a while back. I just bought a classic reverb sig! never thought it would happen. What pickups have you got in your strat? and I'm interested in what made you choose the Bloomfield over the classic reverb? They're both fantastic! I didn't have the option of buying a bloomfield here in Australia as the waiting list is about a year long.

    Is there a reason you went with the Bloomfield Drive over the TS1? I am leaning towards getting a TS1.

    • @markhopkinsmusic
      @markhopkinsmusic  Рік тому

      I was between both but opted for the Bloomfield because the TR reverb tanks are sooooo good. Even though I have a Flint, I just really wanted verb on board. But the TS1 is a killer amp!

      @AntonioLopez-bc6qg Рік тому

    • @markhopkinsmusic
      @markhopkinsmusic  Рік тому

      @@AntonioLopez-bc6qg i think they are similar - I know there is a trim pot in the Bloomfield that can get that channel more creamy like the TS1 drive channel. So I think it can be tweaked to get the same result

  • @samdeters6162
    @samdeters6162 Рік тому

    I've been playing the bloomfield for 2 years now. It's for sure my favorite amp I've played but it definitely took me some time to get used to it. Particularly getting the channels to coexist.
    1st think I had to do was leave the mid boost on
    2nd, and maybe more importantly, I messed with the internal trim pots. Cranked up the lead gain (I understand that it's different than the lead gain knob on the faceplate, thicker) and took a little high end off of the "bypass" tone.
    IMPORTANT!!
    It's super dangerous to do this if you don't know what you're doing, even with the amp unplugged. Seriously, call them and ask for tips or have a tech do it. You could die.
    Without doing these two things I wouldn't be getting along with the amp.
    PS, I keep the input gain pretty high and the lead gain on the faceplate low. 3:00 and 9:00, respectively.

    • @markhopkinsmusic
      @markhopkinsmusic  Рік тому +1

      Oh man! This was sooooooo helpful. Glad to hear you found the sweet spot! I’m planning on chatting with them so I can adjust the lead trim pot to really utilize that second channel. Thank you so much Sam!

    • @samdeters6162
      @samdeters6162 Рік тому

      @@markhopkinsmusic for sure! The way I understand (could be off) is that the trimpot adjust the amount of signal that is allowed to cascade from the clean channel, and the lead gain knob on the outside has to do with the additional gain stage. I find that the external knob can get fuzzy and thin really fast, which made the lead channel difficult to get along with before Eli encouraged me to crank up the trimpot
