Examining the nature of the beast.
Let me just say... How exquisite that snow leopard footage.
Indeed! Magnificent creature!
It's from Planet Earth, it was very difficult to obtain and may have been the first footage of an active snow leopard hunt ever caught on film
Athletic, check.
Stealthy, check.
Fluffy, double check.
The snow leopard truly is the pinnacle of felinekind.
You may not like it, but this is peak feline performance.
I did some research on snow leopards, come to find out that they are capable of bringing down domestic, and wild yaks... Also, they rival cougars in leaping ability, and cheetahs..
@@edwinreveron870 "Limping"?
@@Ice_Karma -Haha! I didn't notice, thanks...
they're great, but their beauty is bested by that of the amur leopard, their strength by the siberian tiger, bite force per square inch goes to the jaguar, agility would be a tie with the leopard. They are the most fluffy and stealthy though.
I just love how fluffy these cats are.
Love how Danielle went from "just a calm snow mew" to "MAKE IT NOMS ITS TAIL!" While working...drawing animals is a dangerous balance of "must make it biologically accurate" and "omg make it cute 🥺"
The struggle is real with snow leopards, they look so adorable nomming their tails!
7:39 "Finally! A Worthy Opponent! Our Battle Will Be Legendary!" - Tai Lung
I must admit I was ignorant about how well they actually blend in to their environment, so it was incredible to see that so vividly in this video!
Kind of insane how easily they blend in ^^
I didn't knew that Snow Leopards should actually be called Snow Tigers 🤣 Magnificent beasts indeed ♥️
I call them Ice Tigers./g /lh
Russians call them exactly that
@@soyolbolds4567 Only term I've heard Russians use to name snow leopards is Барс/Bars, or even White bars.
Russian for Tiger is Tigr
@@stephenlitten1789 Russians use the Mongolian word "bars" which means tiger. The Mongolian word for snow leopard is Irves (or Irbis) which is essentially a variation of "bars".
@@soyolbolds4567 thanks for sharing that. Interesting information 🙂
I love looking at snow leopards climbing mountains and seemingly doing it effortlessly.
I did some research on snow leopards, come to find out that they are capable of bringing down domestic, and wild yaks.. Also, they rival cougars in leaping ability, and cheetahs...
Wow, I really am ignorant about Himalayan wildlife. I haven't heard of any of these animals! Fire cat, markhor, what the frig are those?? These mountains hold so many mysteries! And yeah, I'd totally buy that snow leopard Where's Waldo, too.
Ibex, markhor , marcopolo sheep and urial. These are high altitude goats and sheep found in the high karakorum, himalyas and hindukush mountains of pakistan india, china and afghanistan. They have some of the most beautiful horns of any animals.
@@najibyarzerachic I've seen an ibex before at a zoo. Amazing horns! But that's the extent of what I'm familiar with, unfortunately.
@@MadamFoogie There's also Hangul, Musk deer and subspecies of brown bears called Himalayan brown bear, Tibetan blue bear.
@@wildlifeisthewealthofnatur5457 Oooo~
Such beautifully fluffy creatures! Perhaps you guys could talk about caribou next?
You are in luck! They actually already did caribou (about seven years ago, lol). It is under “reindeer”. They also have a video about Wapiti if you are interested about learning more about elk too!
Delicious
Not only is this video highly informative for its length, but I also totally loved the art bit. As an artist myself, I was wholly invested in the process of the snow leopard drawing. Whoever did this, deserves all the respect in the world, those are some hard earned skills.
I'm pretty sure the host Danielle Dufault draws them herself!
@@christine_grxce so u know her personally then
@@lennarthagen3638 lol the illustrations are signed by her
@@lennarthagen3638no but she does work for the Royal Ontario Museum as a wildlife illustrator that does a lot of their dinosaur illustrations.
You can see her work if you go to Toronto but I'm pretty sure animalogic also has an art book credited to *her*
Oh... and at the end the piece is signed to Dufault
@@lennarthagen3638they didn't say that , all they said was that Danielle is the artist of the drawing.
What a Magnificent Creature 💚
Gotta say, you have a whole look going and it is fantastic. Plus, snow leopards are a puuurfect subject for Animalogic
Agreed, she looks great
OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!!
I love snow leopards! Favorite animal! If I could have one as a buddy I would in a heart beat. They are so floofy
A "Where's Waldo" book but with Snow Leopards are definitely something i would 100% buy
I wish I could cuddle with one they look so soft!
You'd end up as dinner
Make sure you make the most of it, coz you only get to do it once.👍
The puuurfect angry floof image 7:40 consider yourself warned cuteness can kill.
8:56 I remember as a kid reading books like this. It was such beautiful looking artwork of natural environments and you’d have to guess the difference between each page. Idr what they were called.
Central Asia? They're found in Indian Himalayas as well. In the Northern and Northeastern parts of the Indian Himalayas.
The majority of the population is found where she stated correctly. Listen to the video yo.
@@billyyank5807she said they’re mostly in China but she should have said Tibet which China is occupying
@@Bubbles-od2tvlol china has been controlling Tibet since the qing dynasty that means centuries ago. For your information today's US was a land of native Indians. According to you the whole US is a stolen land
I LOVE her illustrations. Highlight of each video for me. She clearly puts her soul in them!
Yeah souldemon
One of the most beautiful animals on the planet
I'm going to need to know more about the fire cat. Also, would love a series on lizards and/or snakes!
You guys should do an episode on clams! I rarely find any info on them when I try to research them
"The prey may live to see another day"
:)
"...however, the Snow Leopard may not."
:(
Yeah... Someone's gotta die for the other to survive. :(
Animals as beautiful as they are remind me of a cool quote ""Why did existence have the ability to design such a beautiful code?" - Hideaki Sena
They are magically cute and gorgeous. 7:38 Those photos are bloody amazing. And that drawing you did is really lovely and shows off such an adorable charm to them.
Whatttttt, my favorite animal? A day after I started binging your guys's content again. You guys are late for my birthday by a month, but I'll take it. I love you guys. Thanks AnimalLogic.
One of if not the most beautiful work of Mother Nature ❤❤❤ I mean look at her!
Every cells of my body is telling me that I can survive petting that fluffball
Fabulous photos. Such an amazing animal. I love them
I hear this animal is scared of Pandas that knows kung-fu.
Yall should cover Brazilian short tailed opossums!!! They're so neat
I love the illustration for this one.
One of my most favorite animals ❤️
Please talk about the Fire cat next.
Yes, please! I've never heard of one outside of the title of a Cat Stevens album. Wikipedia doesn't even have anything on it!
Thank you for this! I love snow leopards.
Please do cougars next.
Of all the crazy cats in this world, which in one way or another are most of them, this is one of the craziest. So glad we're getting more insight and footage into their lives. Thank you yet again!
I love all cats. Lovely nature !
The snow leopard is my spirit animal.
Snow leopards are my favorite animal! And Bats…
Snow leopards look so chill, no pun intended
Awesome video! The snow leopard is one of my favorite wild cats.
She quoted Taken...
Amazing.
My favorite cat ever!! 💜✨
I saw one in Korkeasaari. They look out if this world with those eyes
Genetic studies prove that 'cats that roar' wasn't what defines the pantherine cats, even if all of the cats that roar are in that subfamily.
I have done some research on snow leopards, come to find out that they are capable of bringing down domestic, and wild yaks.... Also, they rival cougars in leaping ability, and cheetahs..
Limping ability?
You should do videos of the Himalayan fox and Himalayan bears, which are not talked about at all.
If they are in danger of extinction. They need to be pets, :0. I want a snow leopard as a pet based off of how cute these kitties are. 🐈
Love these cats!
Danielle you look spectacular in that sweater!
OBIT: Rob is missed by his friends. He was last seen trying to, in his words, 'pet that floofy tail'. His final words were, "Worth it."
I have been studying Snow Leopards from books, articles, and documentaries for years. I'm not an expert on them, but I can find them almost instantly in every image I come across.
I love these animals so much!
EFBC in Rosamond, CA has had several successful births of Snow Leopards.
3:40 Video: *Shows the Snow Leopard about to kill*
Me: ISSA FAST KITTY!
Danielle’s look is evolving I’ve noticed. And snow floofies! So lucky Danielle!
The best part of -40° is that you don't even have to specify whether it's Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Well-played, y'all.
It's celsius obviously, why would there be a need to specify? This isn't 19th century.
2:38 scary explanation and that cute sketch on the background
"OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!"
I have heard that the Quahog Clam is the oldest found, one being over 500 years old! These clams are very important to Haudenosaunee, and other indigenous peoples, and I would love to learn more about them, to learn more about my own cultural history...
Funnily enough snow leopards are very solitary. So much so that there is no confirmed case of a snow leopard ever attacking a human. So Waldo would try and find a snow leopard but the snep would be watching, perfectly hidden from Waldo instead of eating him :)
Hi Danielle.
You are my favorite channel and streamer 😊
She streams?? Twitch ?
Nature: *creates perfect murder machine*
Humans: fluffy snow kitty 🐱 😍
I request a video on the fire cat! I've literally never heard of this creature before and it is gorgeous
One of my favorite animals tbh.
I want a where’s the snow leopard book. I love the idea of one of them eating Waldo. Maybe that’s the last page, the book is just the snow leopard stalking and chasing Waldo.
The snow leopard is by far the coolest cat
I sometimes use my blanket as tail. It helps me to convince myself to feel a deep connection to the snow leopard spirit...
What
@@nathi060200 I’m guessing furry.
@@jb-wc1hxOr a therian or alterhuman of some sort ^^
Snow leopards have no right being so cute you know tigers lions I mean even cougars just don't really look cute yes snow leopards look so adorable I would just want to pet.
Great video! Can you do the amur leopard next?
I am living for that outfit! So pretty!
My FAVORITE Wild Cat, EVER!!! 0w0
I IN 1978 HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF SEEING A MOTHER AND............THREE CUBS.......NEVER FORGOT IT!!!!
thats so lucky!
@@theflyingdutchguy9870 YES FOR A 20 YEARS OLD MAN, ON HIS VERY FIRST ENDEAVOUR OF SOLITUDE.....IT REALLY WAS.........I WAS MESMERISED WITHOUT A CLUE OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF WHAT I WAS SEEING..........THAT NOW I DO YOUNG AND DUMB!!!
Higher terrain means less competition from tigers. Tigers will hunt leopards with no difficulty.
And still i have no idea why this is my favourite animal......
Daniel gets more beautiful with every bit of information I learn. Beautiful, smart, and full of video game, dnd, and fantasy jokes. The perfect host.
Snow leopards are my favorite animals.
1:18, what in the world is a fire cat? Is there another name for this cat? My searches are pulling up nothing
Cada nuevo episodio de animalogic nos permite tener nuevos conocimientos de la fauna mundial.
7:45 Truely amazing poses
At 2:13 that cat is kicking dirt over it's poop. This is a very familiar motion for most cat owners, and weirdly comforting to know that Snow Leopards do this.
I am very entertained by the ominous, spine tingling, oral descriptions of the ghost of the mountain, paired with the silly music.
Holy crap your outfit is 🔥🔥 in this one. The necklace, the nails, everything 🧑🍳💋👌
also omg what a cute lil murderous floof
I always admired my cat and her ability to cover her bare spots with her tail.
What a majestic creature🤩
The sound is funny for such a wild animal 😂
I would absolutely buy a wheres waldo with Snow leopards instead of waldos. Snow Leopard eating waldo would be a fun Bonus!
🤣... no,...not too far.
(RIP Waldo)
Snow floof sitting at the neighborhood be like : Where is everyone ... i PAWmise i won't do it again
Majestic angry floof! It's ablity to not to climb, but calmly walk on almost vertical cliffs is astounding. The goats it buried that day, though)
It's so cuutee 😭
Oh, yes! I want the Where's the Snow leopard book 😅❤
2:11 He just finished dropping a deuce.
Can we get a vid about Amur leopard 🐆
I wish they could learn to make tea. After hunting and having meal it would be nice to have a cup of tea.
Yes Finally! Mountain Danger Floof!
Love these! I always feel so sad to see them captured or in captivity because of their need to be alone.
I love these beautiful fluffy kitties!
My favorite animal thank you!
Such majestic cats. Sad to see them jump all over cliffs to one in yowling in captivity 😢
I always hope the animals get firstly introduced by the thumbnail title just to say "anger floof" out loud myself 😭😂
