Father Mike, you had a homily earlier this week where you asked the question, "Why do we refuse the grace God offered us?" I agree, many times I think God is too good for us as we take our Lord for granted. I've said this before, even a venial sin bothers me because all sin offends God. In the gospel of John he writes about the one the Lord loved. Of course, he was speaking about himself. He wasn't being arrogant, he understood God's LOVE. We should think this very same way! God does not love each of us any less than He loved John.

Second Sunday of Easter Divine Mercy Sunday: His Mercy Endures Forever: In the Upper Room Jesus appears a second time when Thomas is present Jesus said to them Peace Be With You and Breathes on them the Holy Spirit. He shows His hands and His side the Precious Side from which flowed the Blood and Water. Today Jesus opens the very depths of His Mercy. Let us place ourselves under the Fount of Mercy the Blood and Water from Jesus' side this day and always. How beautiful! "Without the breath of God, we are dust"...for me, I'd be dirt...how blessed are we to hear the Word of God in such a warm and caring way that just makes us want to love God even more... because He first loved us! Thanks, Fr Mike!
He showed up at the end. Yes it's more than others did but he wasn't exactly saying anything when he was getting tried in public either. Not that I would've either but just saying. Peter was the only one who was willing to fight for him in the garden. Yeah he denied him 3 times but anyone else including you and me would've denied as well. Don't act like you're braver than Peter. We have the luxury of knowing He came back already. The apostles didn't!
Yes Father it might not be in killing, but in arguing do we turn the other check this can be the killing of relationship in what we say & react!! What a blessed homily, where would I be in the Garden of Gethsemane or the persecution of Jesus? I pray at the foot or close to the Cross 🙏.
