Some of the Kanohi I find the most terrifying are the immoral ones that appeared on Matoran of Karzahni in the comics and were given powers later (Incomprehension, Aging, Undeath)
An idea that's been on my mind for a LONG TIME and finally decided to knock it out in time for Halloween. The next Top 10 is one people have been waiting for... No spoilers though.
@@TheShadowedOne1 Also, do most Kanohi won't work on non Matoran Universe species like Spherus Magnus inhabitants? But what about masks that do effects on both Biomechnical and organic targets?
The mask of life is easily one of the most terrifying things in the Bionicle universe hands down. I legit felt so threated by it I started to think It was haunted or something, but then 1 week later I find out it's alive.... Yeah the mask of life is upright scary as hell.
The mask of time is actually, from my understanding, capable of time travel on the face of a sufficiently powerful being. The reason Tahu and Vakama were incapable of effectively using it is because they were just Toa. While not directly stated, it’s certainly heavily implied that Teridax could have used it to its greatest capacity if allowed the opportunity.
@@ericschuller908 You are correct. It does not actually allow time travel. Now Teridax could possibly have used it for other purposes beyond just slowing down or speeding up time around an object but we'll never know.
You totally blew your chance at testing this by exposing BIONICLE sets to SCP-387 when you decided to make that LEGO SCP-682. Not sure if literally living the Legend of the BIONICLE would have been a good idea, though. Some of the things in G1 are Keter-worthy.
I have some ideas for other top 10s: Top 10 rahi(multiple) Top 10 vehicles Top 10 blasters Top 10 islands Top 10 unique weapons Top 10 underrated characters Top 10 titans Top 10 dark hunters Top 10 makuta Top 10 turaga/rahaga Top 10 temples Top 10 environments That's all I could think of hope this can help in some way.
The Ignika was able to grant the Glatorian elemental powers because it was in their evolutionary line that they’d one day evolve to naturally have them, according to Greg. It seems, honestly, like the evolution/devolution thing being dependant on evolutionary lines is only for truly natural organic beings, though, as what it did to Gadunka and Dekar doesn’t seem like it would have much to do with their evolutionary lines… maybe Gadunka, since there are other Rahi that can technically grow, but Dekar? Nah. Protodermic life it can do anything with I think, but not non-protodermic life.
So eventually in the next million years, the Glatorian and Agori species will evolve to have elemental powers? Doesn't that mean that the Elemental lords, Matoran, Toa, Tuarga are technically the first of the new line of evolution for the Spherus Magna inhabitants that they will eventually become, outside of mask powers, since they are exclusive to the Matoran Universe inhabitants, as well as being less mechanical.
I honestly see the ignika as primarily a mask of evolution as even tho it has multiple powers and is sentient it’s primarily power (thanks to the legend reborn) is actually evolution as it was seen evolving weapons and agori(metus) into new forms
i´m positively surprised, that you´ve picked Toa-Masks as well, considering how they can be used in pretty disturbing ways. PS: reminds me of a Mask concept, i´ve created some time ago: the Mask of Guilt. basically a Kanohi where you can emotionally destroy your opponents, by making them feel bad about literally anything. i also have concepts for a Nuva-Version: a Nuva-Mask that can basically gaslight you, by making you feel guilty for things, you´ve never even done in the first place, until you´re mentally a total wreck.
I actually really like that. Interesting concept. Though, I feel like it wouldn't work on murderers or beings who don't feel or understand the concept of guilt.
@@TheShadowedOne1 it´s not so much about appealing to one´s conscience, but rather about making the victim feel bad about anything against their will. basically: the mask can make somebody feel guilty about something, they´re usually proud of. to put it simply: it technically "replaces", the dead conscience of murderers, for example. as long as they´re under the influence of the Mask.
@@Legomicroman, it sounds like a Nuva version could force a psychopath or a sociopath to feel the pain of those they have hurt of victimize. Forcing a psychopath to hurt that way would be very satisfying.

I believe the vahi should be somewhere in this list, I mean, it was all vakama needed to temporarily stop makuta terry himself and it too can be very destructive, other than that it is a very well thought out list and satisfying as always
Shade... I totally understand why you called Ignika as the mask of "death" at first... Once I used it, I died P.S. Toa Ignika is a master of life force.
Have to agree with this list in full, especially 1 and 2. The Ignika really is terrifying though, Imagine it being essentially a kanohi with the powers of a great being. It's even more powerful than the mask of creation and more terrifying since its morals are very ambiguous. Though it is a lot less scary now that it's controlled by Mata Nui's consciousness.
my reasoning on why the Komau isnt considered immoral is because they didnt make immoral masks until late 2007, while the Komau is a 2001 mask used by a TURAGA
Well, Greg Farshtey's reasoning is that the Komau could be used for good like stopping a murderer from killing or preventing one from suicide, etc. But mind control in general should be immoral no matter what.
@@TheShadowedOne1 that argument has no grounds because you could use an immoral mask to do good, like using a Kanohi Jutlin to rust away a tyrant's weapons to save a town, or a Crast for self defense, as the only thing it does is repel stuff

Great video at first I thought matoros mask should have been at the top. But given it some more thought and the mask of life is definitely more terrifying than anything. Even though it decided to be heroic it could have easily decided to go the completely different direction.
If the Komau was taken into account why not the Mahiki the mask of shape shifting? With someone wih no morals, or at least less than Matau, the wearer could disrupt the trust bonds among everyone.
Possibly, but it's not true shapeshifting like the Makuta can so it's effects can be easier noticed and if the mask is knocked off or their concentration broken, the mask's powers are turned off.
The Shadowed One cannot use Kanohi. However, he would likely use it as a bargaining chip if he possessed it. Try to kill or attack me? And I smash the mask and everyone dies.

I think you might be missing one, the Mask of Mutation, worn my Miserex. That thing deserves a #2 spot if you ask me. Also the mask of aging and undeath are missed opportunities.
The Mask of Aging perhaps but we've never seen it in action nor the Mask of Undeath. The Mask of Undeath is an immoral mask but it doesn't strike me as a terrifying one. It does nothing that makes me fear it. In fact, it makes me respect it as it allows the wearer to finish their task even after death. The Mask of Mutation may have been worn by a Makuta but Miserix wasn't apart of the rebellion. Plus that mask could actually be used for good, mutate someone to aid them and grant powers and then undo it. It could also be used to undo Roodaka's mutation spinner or Visorak venom.
@@TheShadowedOne1 , in the same way that the mask of mutation can be used for good and undo damage, the Inika has been shown to be capable of that as well. The Inika and mask of mutation are both capable of good an evil, and both are able to permanently alter a target. The Mask of Undeath doesn't strike me as "terrifying", in fact it strikes me as honorable. It allows you to accomplish your last task before your death so you can have a second chance as it were. It's immoral, yes, but not scary in my eye.
