I watched this once, and then made a perfect sun visor, consulting the video once or twice just to check. I always wondered how the stitching was hidden all the way around... and now I know. Many thanks, Cechaflo!
Absolutely GORGEOUS. Thank you for showing your excellent craft. I'm a beginner, so I never would have thought to sew the zigzag stitch using the prestitched anchor line!
Thanks for kind comment! This other video shows the same sunvisor but with a different way of doing the closing sewing of lower edges. ua-cam.com/video/NMYlCg1HC48/v-deo.html
Hi Cesar. I asked you for this video just last week and you are very fast to make it. I am currently working on this project but I wanted high quality results that only you teach. Others on UA-cam do not have or show the high quality work that you do. Your work is high standard for expensive luxury automobiles. The closing stitch you showed was what I was looking how to do. You are the best teacher. I watch your videos and when you make new pay-only videos for your site I will buy them. Thank you /John
Dear John, I really appreciate your kind comment! Keep an eye out for next related sunvisor video where I will show two more interesting tips to close the open edges...for sure, interesting tips! I have some useful basic car seat courses for sale on this link:www.cechaflo.com/
There's no doubt, you are an incredible craftsman with leather and upholstery! I wish I could do half of what you do! I think the sewing part is what scares me.
Just a few days ago I did my first sun visor. I was super excited to see this so I could compare how I did mine. Needless to say I'll be redoing mine now.
Now that looks great. I also now know what ot means by 1 stitch at a time. A lot of work goes into something lime this and well worth the money when it comes out that great. Keep up the great work and videos. Thanks
Same sunvisor using a 'basting stitch' to close the lower lips: ua-cam.com/video/NMYlCg1HC48/v-deo.html Same 'handsewing technique' with two needles is shown in this video: ua-cam.com/video/3qfQXyytZ-Y/v-deo.html
Incredible!!!!! You have my respect with this last video. You have alot of patience, and explain every detail. You are a true master. "Lo que hace en maestro, es la practica."
I always wondered how they did the seems at the end of the cover folded in like that. Sweet ! Once again you taught me something I did not know . Thank you again wise - Interior Master Yoda - Just a great vid to . Can't wait to see your next one . I love watching you teach with out saying a word and I understand everything you teach clear as day with no problems at all . JUST -💯% - Great TEACHER !
Dear Chris, I really appreciate your kind comment! Let's not forget the material (leather, vinyl, cloth, etc.) should be placed along its stretchy side to ease the process of putting on the cover. To close/sew the open edges I used a hand sewn blind stitch (one needle). I used steering-wheel basting stitches for the small recess. In next related sunvisor video I will show how to close the longer open edges using the basting stitches.
I bought them for a video. As far as I remember they are for a Nissan. This is the other sunvisor where I show another way of closing the lips along the lower edge.ua-cam.com/video/NMYlCg1HC48/v-deo.html

Wonderful, I thought to do this myself once, but decided to just buy a new car. Maybe next time. Smiles to you and your's and thanks for all the lessons. I'm tackling a small chair to finish in white leather with black piping because of past lessons.
Maestro!
great master, I love your job and I don't know how can I ask you a thing,, have you ever got a project for hailstorm. last month here in Italy I've got 2 times hailstorm. thanks.
Factory Sonic welded plastic sunviser you can break plastic down middle. Wrap with martial hot glue 2 peices then clamp with cardboard and clamps. Either way they suck.
