My Favorite Leather Seam (HYBRID SEAM TUTORIAL)
The Fanciest Leather Seam of All?!
This hybrid leather seam is the perfect blend of speed and dimension, giving your leather bags and cases a bit more interest than a traditional gusset seam but going together much quicker than a double layered seam. In this video we show you how to make a hybrid leather seam by hand for your leather projects, because it's not that hard to do! This seam is a great way to add detail without adding mych time to the project as it's quick. It's ideal for gussets , but of course you cold expand this to featuring the seam on any sort of case outside of a leather bag as well!

This is awesome! I'm a huge fan of the 'double seam' look and have done it a few times. But yeah, having a whole extra stitchline bogs it down on larger bags 😂 I'll definitely have to give this one a try

You're a god send, I tell ya. Thank you for this so much.
How did you go about hole punching for that edge since it's onto those curved corners?

This is a great tip. I can see flipping that the other way too (outward side instead of an inward one). Thanks for sharing.

This is fantastic! I was wondering if you could do a video on the double seem bag as you mentioned you do those alot... I really struggle with it, and am pretty sure many can benefit from the double seem video, and so will you!
    Thanks in advance 😄

Newbury Leathers is a Buckleguy line up of tanned leather made by U.S. based tanneries that he sells on said website and Amazon. Hope that helps. Cheers

Why using the skin of an animal while we have many many alternatives that don't invoke torture and murder.

Because we want to. And eating plants is just as much torture and murder by your own standards. Give it up. We don’t care that you’re offended because it’s fake.
