My Favorite Leather Seam (HYBRID SEAM TUTORIAL)
The Fanciest Leather Seam of All?!
This hybrid leather seam is the perfect blend of speed and dimension, giving your leather bags and cases a bit more interest than a traditional gusset seam but going together much quicker than a double layered seam. In this video we show you how to make a hybrid leather seam by hand for your leather projects, because it's not that hard to do! This seam is a great way to add detail without adding mych time to the project as it's quick. It's ideal for gussets , but of course you cold expand this to featuring the seam on any sort of case outside of a leather bag as well!

This is awesome! I'm a huge fan of the 'double seam' look and have done it a few times. But yeah, having a whole extra stitchline bogs it down on larger bags 😂 I'll definitely have to give this one a try
Another design choice to put in my brain, i never know when it'll come in useful. Thanks for showing it .
Great tip Eric. Thanks a lot. Looking forward to using that.
Thankyou... It's great u r sharing all those skills and techniques. 🙏🏽. Will really help me improve aesthetic in bags and doppe kits
You're a god send, I tell ya. Thank you for this so much.
How did you go about hole punching for that edge since it's onto those curved corners?
This is a great tip. I can see flipping that the other way too (outward side instead of an inward one). Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this tip, it's really interesting and I'll try it on the next bag I make. Still loving all the content, appreciate all you share.
Ciao Eric. Sentivamo la tua mancanza. Sempre ottimi consigli. 👍🇮🇹🇧🇷
Thank you for these videos, Eric. I absorb so much info from them
You're a genius! Thank you sir! Another useful technique. 💪😎
This is fantastic! I was wondering if you could do a video on the double seem bag as you mentioned you do those alot... I really struggle with it, and am pretty sure many can benefit from the double seem video, and so will you!
Thanks in advance 😄
These bags are awesome.
Great work and thanks for sharing this was very helpful 👍

Do you have a video about slicing knife considerations and what to buy/look for?
Really good tip. Thanks.
Thanks for this.
Love it!
great idea, and barely dabble in leather, tried to make a few things and would like to buy a sewing machine, what is your suggestion ?
Those pliers are Duckbill pliers.. Awesome video as usual…
That tool at 6:50- from bookbinding I know those as Band Nippers
I love it
Great
This would make the starters for a great DSLR camera bag....just saying ;)
👍
This was interesting, but your measurements had me a little confused, maybe you can explain it more in depth.
What is the name of the leather used

Newbury Leathers is a Buckleguy line up of tanned leather made by U.S. based tanneries that he sells on said website and Amazon. Hope that helps. Cheers
Thank you. That is amazing. So simple, yet gives such a classy look. I'll have to incorporate that in my next bag.

Why using the skin of an animal while we have many many alternatives that don't invoke torture and murder.
Because we want to. And eating plants is just as much torture and murder by your own standards. Give it up. We don’t care that you’re offended because it’s fake.
