Yes. There is so much that people can do to help themselves. I’ve turned my personal finances around in the last four months. I’m fine. And I want other people to take responsibility for themselves and turn their lives around. The problem is, dependency is big here. Dependency on welfare benefits is huge, and suggesting anyone take responsibility for improving their own lives is seen as cruelty. What is cruel is not giving everyone in this film a wake up call, issuing them with a job - and employers are paying crazy wages - and tell people to stop having babies that they can’t afford to raise. But nurses can’t afford to live on £27k! I live very comfortably now on £16k. If people mismanage their money, they will mismanage it if they get £50k. Nurses get way more in pay than most people I know, plus paid sick leave, maternity leave, compassionate leave and a generous pension. I don’t. People need to educate themselves about personal finance, stop expecting everyone else to bail them out while they sit on their backsides and take responsibility for their own lives. They will feel better physically and mentally and they will not be poor.

Generally If two members of household are working full-time then there shouldn't be a problem with a cost of living unless u r spendaholic. People living on benefit or single mothers and fathers they surely will struggle somewhat but that's how it is .
Many UK households could start victory gardens in their back gardens or public allotments this spring and get free food this way. The climate in much of the UK is ideal for growing potatoes, carrots and cabbages. A person could live very well of a diet of potatoes, carrots and cabbages supplemented with a very modest amount of purchased meat, fish, eggs or cheese for protein and fat. This worked during WWII when food was tightly rationed. During the 1940s many in the UK population became more fit and lost excess weight through a combination of less abundance of fattening fools and a lot more physical activity. There are plenty of gardening hobbyists in the UK who could teach youngsters and unemployed adults how to grow some free food for their own families.
Absolutely right on! I have always felt that the way to freedom from hunger and from the food industry is to grow one's own food to the greatest extent possible. We would all be healthier, weigh less and, often, when people change to a more natural diet, they require less medications for ailments which results in less money out for meds as well.. One can grow food on the stoop and in a window box and just about any container, inside and outside the house.
It's a brilliant idea. I am starting my garden this year. I have lots of space to grow veg. A few of my neighbors know how so they can teach me or help.

Great program. There is less inflation in Canada and much less inflation in the USA compared to Europe. I suspect the main reason could be a less rise in oil and gas prices.
Exactly, even though their energy policy is not climate friendly, and therefore short to mid-term, it has allowed these countries, and more specifically the USA, to have homegrown energy sources that are in this case less costly.
And here in the U.S., ALL of our inflation is due to Biden policies of shutting down domestic oil production. We have the largest reserves but refuse to use them. Instead, we'll pay triple to ship that oil from our adversaries. Our inflation is going to get worse soon because Diesel prices are recently through the roof and it takes 3-4 months for the supply chain effect to hit prices.

It really goes to show how appalling public health is, when a house has two diabetics and neither has been informed by doctors or nurses of the vital importance of fasting, nor of the necessity to cut out all starches and sugars from their diet. It's the year of 2023 and I am hearing a morbidly obese woman diagnosed with diabetes complaining that she has to skip one meal a day and that she has to buy the cheapest bread... couldn't the reporter have done her the favour of telling her that starch is poison to her, and that OMAD would probably reverse her diagnosis. Surely, at this day and age any journalist is aware of this.

The workers paying tax are the lemons to be squeezed. I feel for them the most. People on benefits shouldn't be comfortable, the basic needs should be met or what is the incentive to work?
I'd agree to an extent... I don't think its fair that people on disibility are struggling as much as they are, Its not as if they can get up and work. The system shouldn't be protecting 2nd and 3rd generation doleys though thats for sure.
Bare in mind that a lot of people who are in work are having to claim benefits and still can't afford the basics like food, gas and electric to heat their homes.
Benefits isn't enough neither is wages were all getting screwed over unless your an MP that is or the head of an engery company or some other cooperation.
depressingly, i remember a situation that was far worse 40 years ago in the 1980's inflation at 13%, interest rates around 18%, the current situation isn't anything new, but this is new to a generation who have been used to low interest rates and money that is cheap to borrow, plus its always been the case that "printing money" as happened during the pandemic will create inflation, coupled to the fact that supply chains broke down during the pandemic and have not recovered mean many goods and foods are in short supply and therefore more expensive
House prices were far far far far less so that 18 percent interest was still nothing compared to lower interest on something far far far far more expensive 🤦♂️🤡

Shhht! People don't want solution, they just want to complain.

3:30 - I get a feeling that she isnt really concerned about what is good for her body
Great idea!

Great program. There is less inflation in Canada and much less inflation in the USA compared to Europe. I suspect the main reason could be a less rise in oil and gas prices.
That’s because britain holds the corrupt central banks . No one is arresting them .
It all comes down to energy costs
Exactly, even though their energy policy is not climate friendly, and therefore short to mid-term, it has allowed these countries, and more specifically the USA, to have homegrown energy sources that are in this case less costly.
North America has focused on fossil fuel sufficiency for the past decade or more and is now "almost" self sufficient for energy extraction
