Great video tracy. When you don't want your solder to remelt on the stem while you're soldering in your stamens: make a paste with 'yellow ocre' powder and dab it on any area where you want the solder to hold. It'll be a game changer for you. 😘
Adding a toilet paper or paper towel liner for the metal doming punch will save your texture just what I have learn from trial and error . great video really enjoyed
Those flowers are soooooo precious and adorable! ❤❤❤ I wish my saw skills were good enough to cut out little flowers like that but sadly I just have basic jewelry saw skills but I'll get better eventually and will definitely try to make some flowers. Thanks for the tutorial! 👍😃
Thanks for watching! Yes, you will get better and once you find your rhythm you’ll sail with it. Btw, these flowers are so organic looking, a little bit of wonkiness in the sawing will only add to their natural look! Try practicing on some cheap copper sheet from a hardware store. Happy smithing!
Fun vieo. Thank you! What do you use to color your solder so you know which grade it is...? Soft/Medium/Hard* Also, what flex are you using that you spray? That's nice.
So just out of curiosity, wouldn't it have been easier to put the little balls on the ends before you so Soldered it into the flour??? In my mind I just think it would have been easier to do that first, and then put it in the flower
Great instruction. Thank you! Question about the sanding disc you use…can you tell me what it’s called where you bought it? I have something similar but very fine grit. Would like something that actually sands something down. Thanks.
Hi! Thanks for watching! I get the sanding discs on Amazon here’s the link but check around on Amazon, different kits may have different grit sandpaper. And you can also buy some individual. Best wishes!
If you’re talking about the players with the white tips, it’s just needle nose, pliers with gorilla tape over the tips to keep it from scratching the metal
Thank u Tracy for sharing!
Great tip btw to color your solder! ❤
@@Allthingscrafty-u8n you’re welcome!

Purple heart.
It's purple heart wood - very pretty. Any wooden dowel will work very well.
Yes! Thank you!
Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing 😊
I agree! I use hard wood dowels. (Though I support Chris at LPF whenever I can; his tools are so useful!).
Your work is exquisite!
Wow! Thank you!
Wonderful video Tracy! Make sure to let me know when you make a video and feature my tools! I’ll share it!
Thanks Chris! In the future I certainly will let you know!
Thanks, Chris! In the future, I certainly will let you know!
Add a little leather pad in the doming block to maintain the texture. Thanks for this video. Such great work!

Thanks for watching! I just use sharpies to color the solder before I cut the chips, my flux is smart flux from Pepetools. Thanks again!
I love these flowers!! Great tutorial! What gauge metal are you using for the flower?
Thank you! And thanks for watching 🙂 I’ve used both 20 and 22 gauge, but I prefer 20 for most of my work.
Ok. Thank you! I can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
Love the video and I can't wait to give it a try. Can you let me know what gauge silver you are using?
Thanks for watching! It’s 20 gauge sheet, but 22 will also work
Thank you for posting this. I’ve learned much from your video. Could you share what flux you are using? Thank you.
Thank you! It’s from Pepe tools, Smart Flux. Don’t buy their sprayer though, mine broke in a month. Lol
Really excellent tutorial. Curious why you put solder on twice when attaching the stems.
Thank you! And thanks for watching. I’d have to go back and see, but most likely I didn’t think it was a good join.

To keep your texture put a piece of craft foam sheet underneath your flower while doming it.

What guage silver sheet do you use?
Hi! Usually 20 or 22 gauge, what ever I have on hand. 20 I feel works best and holds the hammered texture better
