bro i killed that mech boss in 4 seconds and the remainder mini mechs fell. Rebecca shotgun plus the +100% damage after melee is OP and lots of fun. i didnt even get to hear the track properly, thankfully theres more voodoo boys raids.

His reasoning for blowing your brain up makes sense. He lost your connection and he didn't trust you so to stay safe he pulled the detonator prematurely. Still, he doesn't really care or is even very sorry for doing so, he completely stands by his reasoning. And while that makes him an asshole I can't say he's necessarily always gonna kill us no matter what as there is no option to keep us connected the entire time. Ngl tho that's what I like about the story writing in this game its always so Grey and rarely leaves you with a good taste in your mouth. Just picking between 2 shit decisions and deciding what it is you'd rather live with. But I can agree most of us prefer our brains un-exploded

They kill EVERYBODY they work with, it does not matter how unlikely them spilling anything about the VDBs is, they'll kill them to make sure that just cannot happen. Placide also just thinks V is some random merc, and seems to remain insistent about that even after being told V has the relic chip.
Doing the Voodoo Boys missions really gave me William Gibson's Sprawl Trilogy vibes (he is considered to be the father of cyberpunk genre). The novels also featured individuals who worshipped Voodoo and utilized cyberspace to accomplish their goals.
Yeah I read Neuromancer by W. Gibson now and the world in this novel is different to one of Cyberpunk 2077 but everything fits soo well I like to think both are in the same world. Plot, relics, street samurais, constructs, everything matches. The main protagonit motivations are pretty much the same as in the game both are looking for a way to survive.. I recommend reading that

The more I think about the power struggle between NETWATCH and the Voodoo Boys, the more I think why the best outcome outto be NETWATCH Terry. Voodoo Boys are a tight community. Amongst themselves. No spoilers: if the power falls upon Voodoo Boys, they have no obligations to aid the common person after "I Walk The Line" they just much the armed gang like the rest. This is possibly one of the most impactful decisions in the basegame. I adore this questline so much, its the quintessential "chase the hackerman" cyberpunk fantasy.
I will always prefer a group of badass looking chrome shamans that look out for their tight community over a bunch of corpo agents. Never quite got the dislike for the Voodoo Boys, sure they treat outsiders like V like crap, but they seem to be really loved by the small Haitian community of Pacifica and seem like the least immoral gang aside from the Mox.
