It is funny... I'm listening to a fictional anti corporate punk rock band on web site run by information megacorporation. Using My laptop made by electronics megacorporation with operating system made by yet another megacorporation. Aaand the very song was brought to life by yet another corporation witch created a game about bad megacorporations...
the best one in this comment section
Imagine working from a laptop provided by a corp, made by another big corp listening to anti corpo song.
Life couldn't get much better than this
They sow the seeds of their own destruction.
I mean hey if it slaps it slaps lol
V might be anti-corp but you gotta go with Kiroshi optics...
R.I.P. Johnny Silverhand, he tragically passed away August 20th of this year 2023 at Arasaka Tower, you'll never fade away
WE WILL NEVER FADE AWAY !!!!!
Yeah but......that manifesto tho
lmfao
He was an undesired engram in soul killer
Fuck you for spoiling
Johnny's chippin' in and Kerry's Chippin' In reflect them so well
That is true
true i liked Kerry's but Silverhand's in my opinion was better I will say though if you've done Johnny's quest line the song Like Supreme is really different but sounds pretty good
can't be more authentic than the "YOU'RE CARRYING TOO MUCH! REMOVE UNECESSARY ITEMS FROM YOUR INVENTORY" poping up at the start of the a like suprem performance lmfao
this version of eurodynes chippin in is so good
Sell out version.
@@B0XMATTER lol its a commerical game soundtrack.. ofcourse its sell out.. ALL OF IT IS...
@@fonkyman Lol Kerry Eurodyne is technically a sellout. He's a Corpo sellout. But doesn't mean his music isn't great! 😀
Holy LORD its so good. this plays during the flashback when you first see Johnny. Absolutely amazing
normie
Imagine this as "Best of Samurai" on a Vinyl LP: 2022 versions on Side A, Instrumentals, Chippin' in 2018 and A Like Supreme (live) on Side B.
This was exactly what I was looking for
Yes! This should be a format template for uploading albums.
In my opinion The Ballad Of Buck Ravers is the best song in the entire game. It enbodies the essence of the game
It sounds like a song that would play in a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game.
SUIT UP, PUNCH IN PUNCH OUT, NONSTOP! If you actually read the lyrics though it's kind of just anti-corporation. Wouldn't say that is the essence of the game, just something that is a side effect of V making it in the world, and then having to find a way to cure himself. Depending on the life path you could argue that V doesn't view Arasaka the same way Johnny does, and by the near end of the game he's leaning on Arasaka for literal life support. Maybe a counter argument would be that Arasaka is having V take care of Yorinobu, and that's his job where he's "punching in". But in the end, he "gets fucked" because ultimately there's no cure.
Like the first stanza has it saying, "lost another day to pointless drudgery, the slow chipping away of my autonomy." This verse has a double meaning for us as players but for the artists making these songs for the game, I highly doubt they knew anything about Johnny silver hand taking over V's body, and how all these main quests have no real point in saving V.
@@RBAR2615considering a few of these songs are from the ttrpg from the 80s I'm sure the writers had no clue.
@@RBAR2615 being anti corpo is the essence of the game lol. You spend the entire game fighting a mega corporation to save your life. Also the canon life path is Corpo so it makes sense being an ex Corpo who was used up chewed up and spit out in the gutters by a mega corporation that you would behold a grudge against them
Here here my friend
I never thought I'd hear new Refused, and when I heard that they were the band making Samurai I knew it'd be goated af and I was not disappointed
I didn’t know when I played the game when it first came out. I couldn’t believe my ears.
I don't know if we deserved it, but i know we needed it.
Obsessed with Kerry, this is the best playlist to listen to while working lol
Archangel vocal is 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
Black Dog is the song that reminds me of the end of John Wick 2. Wick’s got an hour to do what he needs before he’s hunted by every soul in the city with nothing but his quadriped canine companion with him. Literally the hunted hunter on the run. Fits too well
Black dog is usually used as an analogy for depression, depression guiding him to the "End"
Well said. The line "the hunter becomes what it hunts" pretty much sums it up.
Only if it played in john wick 2
And reminds me of when you fight smasher
John wick is johnny silverhand theory?

Archangel and Black Dog are legitimately some of my favorite fucking songs at this point. These are all really great, but those two take the cake for me.
I say yes to this.
Black Dog and Never Fade Away are my favorites out of the whole soundtrack
For whatever reason I like Archangel more with the instrumental version ahead of it. It's like an extended intro that gets you into the vibe, energizes you, and helps make you even more cranked up for when the lyrics hit. I get the idea of having this big impact with no intro, but I like the feeling of the growing riot suddenly moving with its unified rallying cry.
Rest of the songs are also absolute fire, Chippin' In: old school version especially with it's "cool, confident badass swagger" to compliment the "warrior's rage" of the "main" version, but that Archangel thing really struck me here compare to the song on its own.
Compilation rocks! Greatly appreciate it having been made!
Very much fuckin agreed!!
that intro is actually from "ballad of buck ravers"
I like how kerry's remix is like a cheap modern pop version of the original punk version of chippin in. Perfect world building and characterization for what happened to kerry's music career and people from johnny's era.
Best way to put it
this!!!! ive heard people say that the kerry version is better because its "more marketable" or some bs and that the original is too "dark and edgy" what crackheads those people were for thinking that nonsense.
I like both honestly
Both are awesome. And since Eurodyne's version was actually created in 2018, I think it should be named original.
@mackarion yeah it was created after the band already broke up. And it isnt the original Johnnie's came out first.
C-can you feel it?
Can you touch it?
The Goat at putting this video together. Love it
I fucking love this!!! Such great music to hear in a game and out as well. I was always captured by in in game. When the end came with the unique song 'Archangel' just an excellent call to finish a game. Great work guys!! Thank the uploader for such a complete collection. Archangel is such a game ender
Playing that concert was probably my favorite moment of the game

Know what really grinds my gears? Know when you're listening to your anti-establishment hard rock? Like just can't sleep, lifting weights and hell bent on finding some way around this evil system. So you're rocking out and curling and doing crunches and boom! Ad for dog food or Charmin or whatever. And now I gotta stop halfway through my reps to skip this garbage shoved on my face. Now THAT really grinds my gears. Peter Griffin, ladies and gentlemen. Now sports with Tom Tucker

You know, there is a way around this evil system. Chipping in and hunting the bastards.
@@DimitriosDenton I'd almost say that's the only option they haven't and can't take from us. I'd prefer if we could just negotiate and live peacefully and they just make their money. But they want power. They want power over us. And there are some people who will not ever allow others to have power over them. I don't want violence. But when you trap people, they become violent. Hell yeah, brother.
I hope they'll release Cyberpunk 2120 before Lyxzen decides he had enough and leaves to exist in a secluded cave. An awesome work, Refused at its finest!
The ballads of buck ravers is a banger
My favourite is definitely ‘Never Fade Away’ It’s just so amazing!
Does it bother anyone else that there is a whole ass keyboardist in Samurai, but I can't hear a keyboard or synth playing in any of these songs? 😂
i wondered why they had that setup as well but if you look at what Samurai was suppose to be it makes sense. Mike Pondsmith explains how it went from like 1980s kinda synth goth rock (i think that's the term he uses) into an anarchistic post hardcore band (The Refused) changed up the "Samurai" sound lol
Much love form Jamaica! Listening to this is great while I code.
oh well, i guess i'll start listening this now haha
Kerry’s chippin in version is fucking bad ass by the way. I so wish we would get more samurai and Kerry missions in cyberpunk

Yess always down for more Kerry
SOOOOO COOOOOOOL!
It Kicks so much ass that the Riff in Ballad of "Buck Ravers" is the same as "The Rebel Path"
DAAAAAAAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just blew my mind!
I don't hear Johnny's new 2077 sick solo on "A Like A Supreme" and it's sad :(
Yeah but at least he did put that version in the last song, but yeah pretty dissapointing that it isn't in the original
14:27 is the solo it's just different
Difference between the studio recording and the live performance.

Something to listen to while reading the latest chapter of Ghost in the City.
Is that Keanu Reeves singing back vocals in chorus of "Never Fade Away"?
I think so
@@scrimblo9494 Probably not, someone would have mentioned it somewhere. But sounds exactly like him
@@nyalarhotep I thought cyberpunk did Johnny on look of legendary Keanu Reeves. Not excluded he did sing it,but yea, that version sounds messy.

Archangel is just an absolute banger

I can't understand why rock couldn't develop in China until I played Cyberpunk 2077.
Rocking
Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077 and Johnny Mnemonic from Cyberpunk 1995 are two iconic cyberpunk characters played by Keanu Reeves.
Despite similarities such as their profession and their rebellious nature, they differ in motivation, skills and appearance.
Both characters embody the dangers of technology and the dehumanization in a society dominated by corporations.
I know the samurai band is refused first time hearing them. But for game samurai track that is Keanu as backup vocals right? Since he is Johnny? Sounds like him. I know he was a guitar player in a real band he was in when the matrix released
The band is Refused. One of the greatest punk bands of all time. If you like SAMURAI check out there other stuff. The album "The shape of punk to come" was so ahead of its time and still holds up. New stuff is great too.
I don’t hear samurai music that often in game, how do I fix that?
Eurodyne chippin in good stuff good stuff
32:04 "You're carrying too much..."
he's carrying balls of steel.
Goddammit this band rocks
Chippin' In is the best song ever. And it so Kerry-ish, gosh

funny how in Cyberpunk rock is still popular back in 2023 but it's dead on 2077 and our real world it doesn't have the same impact anymore unlike the 70's till the 2000's

I wish Samurai was a true band...
Eurodyne's version is much better than Refused's. It gives off more Cyberpunk vibe. And it was recorded by almost an underground guy from Poland which is more in line with Samurai than using full blown, financially successful band to do this job.
nah bro...The Refused's version is waaaayyyy better lol...they lack that anarchistic anti-establishment feel that Samurai needs because well....Johnny lol
@@jasonglisson4932 exactly.
Refused is way better also O had no idea that they were famous or well known
I like both. Also, Eurodyne's was the "original." Fun fact XD
Does anyone know any real bands that play songs like these?
the band hired to write the music is called Refused and their other stuff is the same style, especially their latest album War Music
sorry bud Kerry was good and had decent vocals but I prefer a lot of the older hits Samurai had mostly from my obsession with Silverhand but that's besides the point
Will the people of 2077 laugh at our interpretation of the future or say "they were right"??
The scary part is, we are starting to get that advanced now. I saw a video where a guy with half his arm had a cybernetic hand that he could control, and it looks alot like what you see in the game. It may be later than 2077, but not too far off when we get this stuff

thia music is totally not anarchistic. but i feel... anarchistic. hope my guitar skills will get me into a punk rock band, and i go out with a bang.

@@jasonglisson4932 there's a difference between anarchists and people with anti-corporate/anti-privatization centric worldviews
You truly dont need much skill to play punk. IF you can play 4 or 5 cords fast and to a beat, you are there. Now go start your own punk band. But if i were you, id do something to set yourself apart from the countless punk bands that all copy each other.
Add synthmetal and lazer hawk styled music to punk, and youll have something that stands out. I would start a band like that, but my punk band days are over. I spent much of my life playing shows, and hanging out with my hardcore punk band.
I dont feel the need to do anything more, ive made my contribution.
Now go make yours, and do it better then the guys who are still out there doing the same things, and adding no originality to displace the mass conformity that has become the punk scene.
