- In part 4 of our 2020 overseeding project, we take a look at our progress 18 days after seeding. I will show you the steps I took to add some more seed to the most bare areas, and I finish out the video with a little encouragement if you are feeling like your own project is not turning out how you thought it would. BE PATIENT and TRUST THE PROCESS. |Pittsburgh PA|
Seed to soil contact!!! There’s a lot more involved in planting grass seed; starting with establishing your goal! Really enjoying your videos. Can’t wait to see the mowing of this delicate new grass.
Love my Garden Weasel too! I use it to break up compacted bare or thin spots before re-seeding. Usually I spread a little bagged top soil over it and then tamp with feet or with my lawn roller for larger areas. This locks everything down to prevent wash off or pooling, especially on slopes or trouble spots like you showed.
Beaver County here! Subscribed. I just started reel mowing my rpr last week!
Nice! not to far away at all!
The temp conditions definitely affected me. The temp dropped too much and I had to reseed and feed it with love your lawn food and now its great
Glad it worked out for you!
@@thepursuitofgrowth964 The dense shade worked but it started to thin out during the summer. I did further resaerch and think that the Shady nooks seed would be a better option for the thinning area. I reseeded today. We will see its about 500 sq ft thats really shaded only about 2.3 hrs of sun a day.
Use tenacity since last spring. Works good
Good vid...let's see this lawn result!
Got any updates? How is the grass doing a year later?
Yea working on it. Lets just say it didn’t go well! I’m growing in fescue right now. I have 4 seeding projects coming…
@@thepursuitofgrowth964 oh wow, really? That’s disappointing. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger and get some!
@@troyd.521 I don't think it was the seed that failed. I will talk about it in the video I am working on.
@@thepursuitofgrowth964 ok. Thanks!
