Great Video. We bought a home in 2020 the owners never took care of their lawn. So I have been trying to get back since the spring of 2021. It looks like when they built the house they used landscape seed. We have a lot of trees with areas getting sun and some dont or dapple sun. We have a side lawn that gets mid morning to afternoon sun depending on the time in the year. 22K+ sqf of lawn. Sun & Shade mixes suck as we dont want to see thins. Will dense shade work all around?
Everything he talked-about is grate east of the rockies. wet / acid soil. I have Luess soil ( blow dirt)over calcified/cemented glacial till, Adding calcium carbonate to hard water/soil is a major problem in the west. The calcium carbonate precipitates at ~18" into Calcrete /Roman Concrete.
I've got my doubts as to whether or not the 4' root depth is possible.
I orderd 14lbs of tall fescue. Any help with improving my soil health 0.4% organic matter, 8.5-9ph , 15" annual rain, south central Ut.

Full sun Front of house (sod) and sun shade out back, (SEED)> What kind of grass seed do I need to use out front and the backyard The back yard is showing large patches of soil......lots of weeds.
April I used Milorganite then May 1 I put down your Love your soil to help the Milorganite so my question is now can I put down milorganite likely after 3 wks of Love your soil to help dark green color of Lawn.please answer back thank you.
Wish I could have seen this live to ask him what to do about wire grass that appears and kills my lawn every summer.
I have 2 bags of Solargreen waiting for the fall. Planting in SC so we’ll see.

@@christophernye5533 I'm in Conway. Let me know when you are going to start. I'm going to Florida in 10 days so I may spray my lawn with grass and weed killer before I go.
@@michaelurig3887 I'm in the GSP area. I sprayed for weeds this month and will aerate and overseed early October. I did Black Beauty Ultra last year and it did well from October to May but then died out or went dormant. I'm told this blend will handle the heat better.
@@christophernye5533 mine lasted the same amount of time last year in the backyard but I didn’t take care of it at all. I believe I’m going to have to feed it more. Even the centipede grass I have needs more fertilizer than Clemson recommends. Probably the darn clay soil. I’ve been trying Earthworks products this season. It adds a lot of carbon to the soil. Keep a calendar of what you do.

Hi Sheila. I'm in northern KY and I get mine from Ace Hardware.
How important is aeration, and can it be done in the spring?
You can definitely aerate in the spring, just make sure you apply pre emergent and if needed post emergent to prevent weeds from populating the holes made.
My local JG dealer sold me 4 yr old seed today. Shame on them…..
What is the really fat blade weed grass that is in Black Beauty seed and Ultra? It is all over my yard, ONLY where I used your seed. Fact it has this crap seed, others have comments in reviews and social media.
I wouldn't purchase JG seeds....It grows like crabweeds.
Come on! Crabgrass is different.
