      I take it you aren’t subscribed to his new UA-cam channel then lol😂 “Steve Berry’s Big in the 90’s” as he takes a light hearted look at cars from that era. I actually really enjoy it 👍 He’s way better as himself unedited outwith BBC presenter etiquette of a by-gone age, give it a look

      Family member had a Ducati (some derivative of the 916). Always enjoyed hearing her starting up and revving 😂 .

      This is peak top gear. In between the era of william wooden woolard. Weird beard ageless lizard noel edmonds and chris goffey’s natty jumpers. This 93-96 was clarkson coming into his own. Regardless of what you make of him he was going on to greater things. The last two series of “old” top gear had that brummie with glasses, kate humble and tiff as the main. Think even the unique count quentula had gone by the very last series in 2000. Certain screamer VBH also there to titilate middle aged men too.

    Love classic Clarkson. Thanks for posting & a question, I have loads of old video tapes of late 80s & 90s tv shows & would like to put on YT (once I learn how to do it). & am wondering have you ever ran into copyright issues re your uploads. there is music, comedy & all sorts on the tapes that people might enjoy. Cheers

      Depends if you're in the US. Americans police their content very thoroughly, the Europeans not so much so, so old UK TV for example would be fine

    'stealth tornado'? - can't imagine a 450hp motor is all that quiet, nor have a great turning circle, but it probably has a devastating effect on the environment so i guess it was well-named.

    • @jimtaylor294
      @jimtaylor294 Рік тому +1

      Eeh. The fact that the full name references three separate Jet Fighters shows pretty well that those behind the car had quite the sense of humour 😂

    • @JonnyJayJonson
      @JonnyJayJonson 4 місяці тому

      JC praises the refinement; the turning circle will be identical to that of the production Jaguar that it's based on; so few of these were made that any environmental effect would be negligible.

    Dunno where Clarkson went clubbing, but I have never been to a nightclub where the bouncer didn't like you wearing jeans.

    • @Kiinell
      @Kiinell Рік тому +3

      Back in the 90's you were turned away from most places wearing jeans. You also had to wear a collar and trainers were a flat refusal.

    • @Embracing01
      @Embracing01 Рік тому

      @@Kiinell I suppose that was before I started clubbing, but when I used to go clubbing in the early-mid 2000s jeans were accepted, well the clubs and bars I would go to in my town anyway. I know trainers were a flat refusal and still are, but never had a problem with jeans. Obviously the rules have changed.

    • @jimtaylor294
      @jimtaylor294 Рік тому

      Yeah. Jeans used to be synonymous with being a bit of a troublesome lout (at least when on a guy); sometimes still holds true but they're a lot more upmarket fare these days.
      (at least; the ones not full of fake paint stains and pre-ripped fabric, which even as a kid in the '90's I thought were daft)

      I think his humour and lines were far funnier in the old series than with Hammond and May, the latter I was certainly not a fan of it, it wasn't a motoring series to me just 3 blokes pratting about and everyone obsessed with the Stig, cars that noone could afford.
