I'm a confirmed Apple fanboy, but I made the change to the S8 after having every iPhone from the 3g to the 6s Plus. I was a bit daunted at first, but the Samsung is a fantastic phone and I got used to android within a couple of days. I really can't see me going back to iOS.
@@donalcapone87 my old s6 is still being used every day by my friend and it is perfectly smooth and even can get 3 hours sot after 3 years. So he's probably not lying
I have the S7 and it was the best when it came out. But since software updates and app updates it preforms worse than my wife's iphone 6s. The battery has gone down the drain and apps are slow to open. I'm seriously considering the iphone 8 based on the processor specifically. I don't want a phone that looses it's edge in a year. Do this video comparison one year later and run app speed tests and overall usability tests. If the S8 is still better I'll be surprised.
Kyle Lunde Guys It's about how you do take care about the phone. I have a galaxy s6 wich i bought in 2016 and it's still a fast phone and i don't have problems with it. BUT i use maintanance button at least 3 times a day (wich clears ram and closes background running apps) and i close all apps i am not using. I mean i don't use home button to get to the main screen, i use multitasking button and close the current aplication and it takes me to home screen. Everytime i lock my phone, i have no app running in the background. I saw a lot of people just pressing home button and locking the phone, even apple users and their phone were way slower than mine. Also, i am shutting down the phone at least once every 2 weeks during the night to let the battery rest a while. Belive me, it's all about how you take care of your phone.
Vijay Maurya I have the S8 n it's amazing. Even the people at the store I bought it at said to go with the S8 instead of the iPhone 8. I wanted an iPhone but it's just not as good. By the time the next galaxy drops it's gonna squash the iPhone X I kno it. N I'm not even a fanboy I've owned both over time. IPhone was shit back in the day but pay walls get old just like the iPhones design.

Idk I just like the simplicity of the iPhone and just how smooth it runs. I’ve had Samsungs, Sony, LGs. And they all freeze and glitch out too often. I’ve had the iPhone6s for the past year and it’s glitched out maybe once and that was only after an IOS update
What people seems to not really mention is that yes you can expand the memory with a micro sd card but that does not really expand your storage the way you think since you can’t store all the apps on the card and the speed of these cards is not the same as the internal storage speed. It’s great to store videos, photos and music but not to change the phone to store everything to the expandable storage card
I'm not sure what apps you're installing if 64GB is not enough for all of them. Photos and videos are what takes the most place on your phone, so once you set the phone to save them on the external SD card, you're set.
HCkev Yes. I had s8 for about a year now and I still have 36GB of internal storage left. I saved some games & all photos and videos on my micro SD cards (got two 64GB sd cards). I love having two so that I dont need to transfer the data to my PC to clear the storage on my phone. More importantly, those files that are saved on my sd cards load up real fast so that I do not feel any difference between internal and external storage.
Really good review. I'm a former apple employee and I'm buying the Samsung S8. Apple is hype. People who haven't been II side that culture don't know. I'm not trapped by a Apple ecosystem. Apple controls people's creativity by locking you into their ecosystem. My chains are broken S8 for me

From a person who used both phones, i still choose Iphone instead of Samsung. Samsung might look nice to you when u used it for first 6 months but after that, the speed of the phone is decreasing, the battery is draining so fast, the error also occur quite often. Compare to Iphone, it’s different. After using my 6s+ for almost 2 years now, the phone speed is still the same. The camera is still working perfectly fine. So to me, apple still wins in term of longevity.

Liar, my friend's Iphone 6s needs to be charged every 5 hours, and it's hot when play games. And the low memory won't allow him to download anymore games. My old Samsung Note 4 wins over his Iphone 6s LMAO
I have both in my hand right now and after 2 weeks of use I can say the topic is not S8 vs Iphone, it is Android vs iOS ! S8>Iphone8 & Ios>Android. Apps that I use like WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Swarm, Instagram, Amazon, Imdb are more easy and beautiful in iOS than Android and more complete. The curved edges in S8 make it so easy to handle in one hand but more difficult to touching the keys because every time you hand touch the edges, you missed the right touch that you want. It's so hard to decide! I'm 8 years apple user but want to change my phone. For 250€ difference between Iphone and S8 the choice should be S8 but maybe paying 250€ more just for iOS here in France. Spot on. The style and functionality of the ios apps are far superior than roid for sure; not mention their better functionality and smoothness of use. That is a huge advantage for apple. If Apple ever wakes up and makes their device itself customizable they will blow their competition out of the water.
If you don't have a Macbook (apple ecosystem) the galaxy S8 is the best, but I prefer the iphone camera in daylight, nightlight S8 is better and of course for the price S8!

It ultimately comes down to smoothness of operation and longevity. Iphones *shatter* Samsung phones all the time. Tried both, s8 showed signs of spasm and slow down after 12 hours of use.
Been an iPhone user for more than a decade starting off with the 2g and ending my contract with the 6s. Owned every iPhone. And then the final switch! The S8 has been incredible. Not only with the apps, but with the overall performance. As for the country/region I live in (India) Play Store has been the pinnacle of support to accommodate all apps internal or international which I found very hard with the iPhone: and thats where I would differ in your opinion. Nonetheless, I'm loving the S8 and your videos and reviews which actually made me go in for the S8! Cheers to you mate! Great videos! Keep 'em coming!!
Perfect review! I own iOS and Android devices and love both, but I've just ordered the S8 after watching many reviews. I waited for the iPhone 8 but it just looks dated design wise with those MASSIVE bezels and the iPhone 10 looks like a toy to me for some reason, it just doesn't scream premium even though it's £999!
Quick question, how many android uses/galaxy, (yes I understand galaxies are a type of android) are actually able to view videos in hd? One of the things I remember experiencing with my galaxy and other androids was that even if it allows you to choose 720p or 1080p when streaming a video the quality doesn’t change from 480p no matter what. I also noticed that most videos on Facebook with an android are incredibly blurry whereas if you watch that same video on iPhone the video quality is crystal clear. I’ve also noticed a HUGE difference in pictures in general. Most androids have awful cameras. With the exception of galaxy models I’ll say. And even the galaxy models don’t hold a candle to what an iPhone 8 is capable of. In low lighting galaxy cameras have a tough time capturing details whereas an iPhone 8 has no problem with low lighting. Coming from someone who’s had androids for 10+ years and just made the switch (only cause this iPhone 8 was given to me), iPhones truly are better.
Left my 7+ and picked up a S8+.. great phone no doubt, better screen no doubt but better screen is about all. I put my S8+ next to a iPhone 8+ and it just blew me away how much faster everything comes up. Not just games, but browsing the web, email, responding to email, text, camera, any app. Having the edge to edge screen is nice, but i do get accidental touches in the form of im reach with my thumb to open an app and it doesnt open cause it has a "touch" from my palm, which really forces you to use two hands or be cognizant of hand location on the phone. Battery life on my S8+ is good at best. If you try to play any games on it throw it on the charger but for normal i have a phone, texting, emailing device its fine and will last you all day same as the iPhone. Running the latest OS not in my case, im on ATT and i STILL dont have O because you have to wait in android land to get updates unless you want to run a custom rom which voids warranty, and for normal people, you want warranty so there is no custom rom going on my phone which means i have to wait while when iOS 11 came out, it came out to EVERY supported device not just some here and there. So lets sum this up... Screen MUCH better on the S8+. Speed MUCH better on the iPhone 8, Camera better on the iPhone, unless you're going to go diving with your phone IP67 and IP68 virtually no different went swimming with my 7+ all the time without issues. The IRIS scanner has been hacked with a simple photo, same as face recognition so it leaves the fingerprint on the back vs the front. So whats left why is my S8+ a better phone? Is it because the screen is better and we ignore everything else or is it because i can have active backgrounds and icons which kill my phone battery in no time flat? I have noticed one thing for 100% certainty if i "customize" my phone to the way it really stands out from the iPhone i get 4-6 hours of battery life and it eats so much CPU it makes the phone even slower. I am going to stick with my S8+ because i really like the screen. If the iPhone X comes out and can match the beauty of my S8+ screen there is no reason to keep my new phone because the screen is what matters to me right now.

Anyone who has held and used both devices cannot deny that the S8 is the more premium feeling device. It's just like holding the future in your hand. It feels sturdy and the curves just give it a sort of Porsche-like feeling (well engineered German gear). The iPhone 8 fees like a LeEco Le S3 $150 phone. It's just not the same feel to it. Feels cheap.

S8 also runs all games very smoothly in QHD resolution. But just turn the display quality to HD and it will be a BEAST. I promise it gets even more smooth than the iPhone.

Even with the snapdragon 91304283 and 12 gb of ram, the system will be lagged as fuck, every year is the same thing. "Now touchwiz is totally out of performance issues." Well I have an S7 right now and sometimes it gets even worse than my old Moto X 2014 with stock android. Ridiculous, now your S8 may be working great but in 6 months... That´s why I´m gonna change this for the i8 instead of the S8.
I was the biggest Apple fan and even converted my siblings to getting an iPhone..fast forward to a few years of owning one I found myself getting bored with my 6s which I didn't even have for that long. I decided to upgrade to the s8 a few months ago and I love this phone! I even used my sister's 6 plus a few days ago and it just felt boring to me. I think I will stick with Samsung until Apple does something actually innovative next time around.
Screw the S8. I have hated Samsung since the very first Samsung Galaxy that came with the Avatar movie. I had so many problems with it and ever since I got in the Apple eco system I have never looked back. I can connect my iPad and my MacBook to my iPhone but I can’t with a Samsung. Plus there is iCloud where you can upload more photos and videos on the iPhone than you can with the Samsung. Once you go iPhone you will never go back.
Recently switched from iphone to the S8. I wanted the iphone X and delayed my upgrade 6 months to get it, but the price is stupid, which made me look at the alternatives. The S8 has not disappointed and it was a much easier switch from ios to android than expected. Clearly the iphone 8 has better processing, but the S8 is so fast already. The iphone 8 design is so dated, whilst the S8 is amazing; that screen is incredible. And price wise, the S8 has some great offers, I got about 25% off, so much cheaper than the iphone. I never thought I'd change from an iphone, but Apple made it an easy decision with such poor design updates and pricing.
ios is more user friendly on first use, but it's also very inflexible; Android allows you to tailor things so much more. I wouldn't go backwards to an iphone 8 now; it would have to be the x, but even the iphone 8 is much more expensive than the S8 in actual retail prices; ios just isn't worth the apple premium.
ST yes you right, but now I'm comparing these two iphone 8 and s8 and S8 wins just in screen and design and price, for the rest I found iphone superior in every aspect. Just try the camera, or play a game like Asphalt Xtreem you will see what I mean.
Camera wise there doesn't look to be much in it; I haven't tried both myself but have seen several comparisons on-line. Maybe the iPhone edges it, but the S8 is superb anyway. On games, yes the iPhone is better, but I don't use it for games; I have an Xbox and a big screen for that. The screen is a big winner for me and the design much better, but I guess if I did use the phone for task heavy games I might sway towards the iPhone. I still think the X is the direct competitor for the S8, but come back to price, which in real shop discount terms(either sim-free or on contract) is 50%/80%/100% S8/8/X. and the apple premium just isn't worth it; unless you really need that extra processing power, or ios. I bought my S8 (in the UK) sim-free for £540 and another £160 trade-in for my old iphone 5S (so £380). The iphone 8 is £699 and no chance of any discount. My brother loved the S8 (he had an S6 edge) so has upgraded on contract with Vodafone. He was offered £20 up-front then £29/month for 24 months for 4GB data, as they can discount the S8. The same contract with an iphone 8 is £60 up-front and £58 per month; twice as much!

You forgot to talk about the cellular connectivity differences between the two phones. The iPhone does not support 4x4MIMO technology, it only works with CA and 256QAM and 2x2MIMO. Apple made this to the snapdragon x16 chip that comes in the Qualcomm iPhones to make then similar to their intel chip counterparts then hence the Qualcomm/Apple legal battle. The s8 on the other hand has 4x4MIMO, 4CA and 256QAM making it a gigabit phone and getting the advantage over the iPhone phone in terms of network speed (if used in a network with those technologies e.g. T-Mobile) and much better cellular reception. Before the haters come swinging, I'm currently using the Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 8X, and can tell there is definitely a difference.
Folks, Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ have WIRELESS CHARGING (slow & fast) AND you can use not only QI but PMA too. TWO different technologies to wirelessly charge, anywhere you are in this planet. Almost ALL reviewers forgot that. Have a great day to y'all
I would fail to recommend anyone the iPhone 8 because of its really inferior display. It is a joke! What does it matter it can record video at 4K at 60fps if you absolutely cannot see that in its pathetic screen? The resolution is not worth the $700 and just that turns the device to a thing to avoid. I would recommend, however, the iPhone 8 Plus and only to users of iPhone 6s or older, and still I would possibly recommend the iPhone 7 Plus because it is now cheaper and performs almost identically.

I have an s8 but I want to switch to an iPhone again. Had a 6s and while I'm ok with my s8 and have used it for a year, I really miss the iPhone for EVERYTHING. So expensive though. S8 glitches too much anyway.
It's really sad that many people lean towards Samsung just because they spit on Apple products. To me, it comes down to preferences. Yes, the S8 looks newer. The iphone looks older. At the same time, the iPhone 5S still looks up-to-date, while Samsung S7 already looks aged. You should consider that, too. iPhones tend to age gracefully, they do not force you to update because of severe lag. They still perform and receive updates for about twice as much as each Android device (except of Google line/phones). Let's make it clear iPhone 8 beats the Samsung when it comes down to gaming, camera, performance, and better re-sale value (ageing) The S8 is superb for videos, streaming, front-facing camera, better battery life, and better design. No matter which one you choose, you will not regret it. I am still a bit dissatisfied with the fact that the 8 doesn't have a dual camera, more battery juice & an extra gig of RAM, as I don't really adore the form factor of the 8+. Really, it's terrible to hold in hand.
Both of these phones in my opinion are beautiful. My boyfriend has an s8 plus, and I'm trying to decide iphone8 or s8... Everything out here is so iPhone friendly though. They connect to everything, it's like iPhones are in mind when building car gps systems, Bluetooth, ect.... I've had android and iphone... I must say because of the fact that my iPhone 5s still runs snappy and fast, I want to upgrage to the iphone8... I just can't help it.
For devs it's much easier to develop games for iOS since there's only a few models to worry about unlike the whole Android Galaxy ( no pun intended) ...I can't wait for more games to come out for my S8...stuff that actually challenges its power ..
I've always found it stupid that phone companies tell you it can be in a certain amount of water for so much time but they put water damage indicators not so they can see why your phones broke because if you get water in your phone in voids the warranty and they don't cover it

i have bought iphone 8 becouse i had iphone 5s before. iOS is more userfriendly, easier. I ended using android on Galaxy S3. Maybe now it's better. Next time I will spend more time for choosing Android or iOS
Also you forgot how easy it is to share photos, videos, docs, etc if someone is in the Apple Ecosystem. Compare sharing files between Android - PC and iPhone - Mac Also the Handoff. When it comes to how easy it is to use Handoff and Airdrop, it slashes all Android Phones. And for everyone, I am yet to own an iPhone and I will get one - soon because of its UX in everything.
Sakitech please can help me with my s8 plus battery problem....the battery of my phone drains without any reason, I have tried everything to stop it but still nothing works..... something is actually eating up the battery in the background....I don't know if you have experienced this problem
As an avid apple user, it’s hard to watch these comparisons and justify my decisions. Obviously I️ use Apple because of the OS and overall fluency of it. And, while the screen is a bit of a disappointment, I️ have consistently used my phones, laptops, and tablets at minimal brightness to begin with to conserve battery life (plus full brightness is distracting). So, while the s8 is visually stunning, the benefits of the design won’t sway an apple user away from their apple products. They still boast superior performance and the overall apple ecosystem is hard to move away from.

+MrFhcervan S8 has Bluetooth 5.0, the latest standard with maximum range. It's probably the accessory you are using that has a short range and an older Bluetooth version.
sakitech I'm using the gear s3 which would remain connected to my nexus 6p anywhere in my house. With the S8, I have to be in the same room or it drops connection.

Still don't understand why people are saying Apple are copying Samsung and that Apple is a complete copy Here's my side: 1. Apple came out first 2. 8 years ahead of any phone 3. Surprisingly Samsung finds out how to make the same phone next year 4. Only possible way is if they completely copied then redesigned the phone 5. Therefore Samsung copied Apple not the other way around

Idk I just like the simplicity of the iPhone and just how smooth it runs. I’ve had Samsungs, Sony, LGs. And they all freeze and glitch out too often. I’ve had the iPhone6s for the past year and it’s glitched out maybe once and that was only after an IOS update

What people seems to not really mention is that yes you can expand the memory with a micro sd card but that does not really expand your storage the way you think since you can’t store all the apps on the card and the speed of these cards is not the same as the internal storage speed. It’s great to store videos, photos and music but not to change the phone to store everything to the expandable storage card
I'm not sure what apps you're installing if 64GB is not enough for all of them. Photos and videos are what takes the most place on your phone, so once you set the phone to save them on the external SD card, you're set.
HCkev Yes. I had s8 for about a year now and I still have 36GB of internal storage left. I saved some games & all photos and videos on my micro SD cards (got two 64GB sd cards). I love having two so that I dont need to transfer the data to my PC to clear the storage on my phone. More importantly, those files that are saved on my sd cards load up real fast so that I do not feel any difference between internal and external storage.
I have S8 plus with 128gb of storage and 6gb of ram. The performance is even better than the regular version

From a person who used both phones, i still choose Iphone instead of Samsung. Samsung might look nice to you when u used it for first 6 months but after that, the speed of the phone is decreasing, the battery is draining so fast, the error also occur quite often. Compare to Iphone, it’s different. After using my 6s+ for almost 2 years now, the phone speed is still the same. The camera is still working perfectly fine. So to me, apple still wins in term of longevity.

I have both in my hand right now and after 2 weeks of use I can say the topic is not S8 vs Iphone, it is Android vs iOS ! S8>Iphone8 & Ios>Android. Apps that I use like WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Swarm, Instagram, Amazon, Imdb are more easy and beautiful in iOS than Android and more complete. The curved edges in S8 make it so easy to handle in one hand but more difficult to touching the keys because every time you hand touch the edges, you missed the right touch that you want. It's so hard to decide! I'm 8 years apple user but want to change my phone. For 250€ difference between Iphone and S8 the choice should be S8 but maybe paying 250€ more just for iOS here in France.

Been an iPhone user for more than a decade starting off with the 2g and ending my contract with the 6s. Owned every iPhone. And then the final switch! The S8 has been incredible. Not only with the apps, but with the overall performance. As for the country/region I live in (India) Play Store has been the pinnacle of support to accommodate all apps internal or international which I found very hard with the iPhone: and thats where I would differ in your opinion. Nonetheless, I'm loving the S8 and your videos and reviews which actually made me go in for the S8! Cheers to you mate! Great videos! Keep 'em coming!!

Perfect review! I own iOS and Android devices and love both, but I've just ordered the S8 after watching many reviews. I waited for the iPhone 8 but it just looks dated design wise with those MASSIVE bezels and the iPhone 10 looks like a toy to me for some reason, it just doesn't scream premium even though it's £999!
Quick question, how many android uses/galaxy, (yes I understand galaxies are a type of android) are actually able to view videos in hd? One of the things I remember experiencing with my galaxy and other androids was that even if it allows you to choose 720p or 1080p when streaming a video the quality doesn’t change from 480p no matter what. I also noticed that most videos on Facebook with an android are incredibly blurry whereas if you watch that same video on iPhone the video quality is crystal clear.
I’ve also noticed a HUGE difference in pictures in general. Most androids have awful cameras. With the exception of galaxy models I’ll say. And even the galaxy models don’t hold a candle to what an iPhone 8 is capable of. In low lighting galaxy cameras have a tough time capturing details whereas an iPhone 8 has no problem with low lighting. Coming from someone who’s had androids for 10+ years and just made the switch (only cause this iPhone 8 was given to me), iPhones truly are better.
Left my 7+ and picked up a S8+.. great phone no doubt, better screen no doubt but better screen is about all. I put my S8+ next to a iPhone 8+ and it just blew me away how much faster everything comes up. Not just games, but browsing the web, email, responding to email, text, camera, any app. Having the edge to edge screen is nice, but i do get accidental touches in the form of im reach with my thumb to open an app and it doesnt open cause it has a "touch" from my palm, which really forces you to use two hands or be cognizant of hand location on the phone. Battery life on my S8+ is good at best. If you try to play any games on it throw it on the charger but for normal i have a phone, texting, emailing device its fine and will last you all day same as the iPhone. Running the latest OS not in my case, im on ATT and i STILL dont have O because you have to wait in android land to get updates unless you want to run a custom rom which voids warranty, and for normal people, you want warranty so there is no custom rom going on my phone which means i have to wait while when iOS 11 came out, it came out to EVERY supported device not just some here and there. So lets sum this up... Screen MUCH better on the S8+. Speed MUCH better on the iPhone 8, Camera better on the iPhone, unless you're going to go diving with your phone IP67 and IP68 virtually no different went swimming with my 7+ all the time without issues. The IRIS scanner has been hacked with a simple photo, same as face recognition so it leaves the fingerprint on the back vs the front. So whats left why is my S8+ a better phone? Is it because the screen is better and we ignore everything else or is it because i can have active backgrounds and icons which kill my phone battery in no time flat? I have noticed one thing for 100% certainty if i "customize" my phone to the way it really stands out from the iPhone i get 4-6 hours of battery life and it eats so much CPU it makes the phone even slower. I am going to stick with my S8+ because i really like the screen. If the iPhone X comes out and can match the beauty of my S8+ screen there is no reason to keep my new phone because the screen is what matters to me right now.

Anyone who has held and used both devices cannot deny that the S8 is the more premium feeling device. It's just like holding the future in your hand. It feels sturdy and the curves just give it a sort of Porsche-like feeling (well engineered German gear). The iPhone 8 fees like a LeEco Le S3 $150 phone. It's just not the same feel to it. Feels cheap.

I was the biggest Apple fan and even converted my siblings to getting an iPhone..fast forward to a few years of owning one I found myself getting bored with my 6s which I didn't even have for that long. I decided to upgrade to the s8 a few months ago and I love this phone! I even used my sister's 6 plus a few days ago and it just felt boring to me. Screw the S8. I have hated Samsung since the very first Samsung Galaxy that came with the Avatar movie. I had so many problems with it and ever since I got in the Apple eco system I have never looked back. I can connect my iPad and my MacBook to my iPhone but I can’t with a Samsung. Plus there is iCloud where you can upload more photos and videos on the iPhone than you can with the Samsung. Once you go iPhone you will never go back.

Recently switched from iphone to the S8. I wanted the iphone X and delayed my upgrade 6 months to get it, but the price is stupid, which made me look at the alternatives. The S8 has not disappointed and it was a much easier switch from ios to android than expected. Clearly the iphone 8 has better processing, but the S8 is so fast already. The iphone 8 design is so dated, whilst the S8 is amazing; that screen is incredible. And price wise, the S8 has some great offers, I got about 25% off, so much cheaper than the iphone. I never thought I'd change from an iphone, but Apple made it an easy decision with such poor design updates and pricing.

ios is more user friendly on first use, but it's also very inflexible; Android allows you to tailor things so much more. I wouldn't go backwards to an iphone 8 now; it would have to be the x, but even the iphone 8 is much more expensive than the S8 in actual retail prices; ios just isn't worth the apple premium.
ST yes you right, but now I'm comparing these two iphone 8 and s8 and S8 wins just in screen and design and price, for the rest I found iphone superior in every aspect. Just try the camera, or play a game like Asphalt Xtreem you will see what I mean.
Camera wise there doesn't look to be much in it; I haven't tried both myself but have seen several comparisons on-line. Maybe the iPhone edges it, but the S8 is superb anyway. On games, yes the iPhone is better, but I don't use it for games; I have an Xbox and a big screen for that. The screen is a big winner for me and the design much better, but I guess if I did use the phone for task heavy games I might sway towards the iPhone. I still think the X is the direct competitor for the S8, but come back to price, which in real shop discount terms(either sim-free or on contract) is 50%/80%/100% S8/8/X. and the apple premium just isn't worth it; unless you really need that extra processing power, or ios.
I bought my S8 (in the UK) sim-free for £540 and another £160 trade-in for my old iphone 5S (so £380). The iphone 8 is £699 and no chance of any discount. My brother loved the S8 (he had an S6 edge) so has upgraded on contract with Vodafone. He was offered £20 up-front then £29/month for 24 months for 4GB data, as they can discount the S8. The same contract with an iphone 8 is £60 up-front and £58 per month; twice as much!

You forgot to talk about the cellular connectivity differences between the two phones.
The iPhone does not support 4x4MIMO technology, it only works with CA and 256QAM and 2x2MIMO. Apple made this to the snapdragon x16 chip that comes in the Qualcomm iPhones to make then similar to their intel chip counterparts then hence the Qualcomm/Apple legal battle. The s8 on the other hand has 4x4MIMO, 4CA and 256QAM making it a gigabit phone and getting the advantage over the iPhone phone in terms of network speed (if used in a network with those technologies e.g. T-Mobile) and much better cellular reception. Before the haters come swinging, I'm currently using the Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 8X, and can tell there is definitely a difference.

I would fail to recommend anyone the iPhone 8 because of its really inferior display. It is a joke! What does it matter it can record video at 4K at 60fps if you absolutely cannot see that in its pathetic screen? The resolution is not worth the $700 and just that turns the device to a thing to avoid.
I would recommend, however, the iPhone 8 Plus and only to users of iPhone 6s or older, and still I would possibly recommend the iPhone 7 Plus because it is now cheaper and performs almost identically.

It's really sad that many people lean towards Samsung just because they spit on Apple products.
To me, it comes down to preferences. Yes, the S8 looks newer. The iphone looks older. At the same time, the iPhone 5S still looks up-to-date, while Samsung S7 already looks aged. You should consider that, too. iPhones tend to age gracefully, they do not force you to update because of severe lag. They still perform and receive updates for about twice as much as each Android device (except of Google line/phones).

The S8 is superb for videos, streaming, front-facing camera, better battery life, and better design. No matter which one you choose, you will not regret it. I am still a bit dissatisfied with the fact that the 8 doesn't have a dual camera, more battery juice & an extra gig of RAM, as I don't really adore the form factor of the 8+. Really, it's terrible to hold in hand.

I've always found it stupid that phone companies tell you it can be in a certain amount of water for so much time but they put water damage indicators not so they can see why your phones broke because if you get water in your phone in voids the warranty and they don't cover it

As an avid apple user, it’s hard to watch these comparisons and justify my decisions. Obviously I️ use Apple because of the OS and overall fluency of it. And, while the screen is a bit of a disappointment, I️ have consistently used my phones, laptops, and tablets at minimal brightness to begin with to conserve battery life (plus full brightness is distracting). So, while the s8 is visually stunning, the benefits of the design won’t sway an apple user away from their apple products. They still boast superior performance and the overall apple ecosystem is hard to move away from.

+MrFhcervan S8 has Bluetooth 5.0, the latest standard with maximum range. It's probably the accessory you are using that has a short range and an older Bluetooth version.

1. Apple came out first

3. Surprisingly Samsung finds out how to make the same phone next year
4. Only possible way is if they completely copied then redesigned the phone
5. Therefore Samsung copied Apple not the other way around
