House, cars, loans, other properties, etc. So when the day comes that they both decide to divorce and go their separate ways, everything from the money and all the various possessions and properties will be accounted for, itemized, and listed in discovery by both parties' lawyers. Any bank account that one of the spouses hid from the other WILL BE FOUND in this stage. And if something like that is found, this is where things turn ugly because then everything starts getting dug into, especially if there was a prenuptial agreement signed. Because hiding something as simple as a bank account is never actually that simple. And this is where lawyers could find a plethora of things, like say hubby had an affair and was using his secret bank account to help support this whole other family he had on the side. And if something like that is found, then based on the terms, the prenup is nothing more than a relic of happier days between the divorcing couple. Because in that example, and that's only one example that could lead to a prenup being voided, the wife would then be entitled to anything of the husband's that he brought into the marriage and didn't build with her.
