@@TheMuserResolute Ooooh, Ok so I agree in studio version. Unfortunately live it doesn't hit. I've seen it twice live in person now and once at the NF that shall not be ever mentioned again and confined to the dustbin of history, and neither time was Aiko able to vocally pull it off. Fingers crossed for a pleasant surprise in Malmo because for now, CZ ain't gonna make it purely down to the performance.

I feel like the staging makes or breaks this one. I wasn't very stoked about Belgium's entry last year and I think everyone else felt the same way, but it ended up doing really well because it was executed flawlessly and the staging was really good. I feel like this could definitely follow in Gustaph's footsteps in that same way. I definitely want more didgeridoo dance music (didgeridance music?) now though.
Yup! I agree. There’s absolutely the potential to pull off a Belgium 2023 here! We know that Electric Fields are great live performers too.
Thankyou for An Aussie Reaction. Just come to the conclusion and acceptance we don't see music or experience it the same way as Europe and other nations do. That's why it is important for Australians to be heard....because lets face it, they don't get us. We get them, but they don't get us. I am happy with the song, its what is needed, a moment to chill out, be relaxed, laid back, accepting, calm and just enjoy the moments that are given to us. Its what everyone needs, a moment of happiness. For everyone to remember we are one blood, one life, One Love.
I LOVE this song so much. First listen was a bit like your reaction, (couldn't upload my reaction because it was the only video blocked entirely), but it has intensely grown on me and I think this is such a dark horse to qualify and do well this year, especially with it's RO in the Semi of Death! There's so little hype around it that when we get to Malmo we'll see how it goes down in rehearsals.

I was quite impressed by the live performance!!
I think this song can do a «The Black Mamba» (Portugal, 2021) or a «Gustaph» of last year. People didn’t like them before the final. But then they got a «Ahh, Now I get it, it’s great» feeling in the finals.
The funky, light and joyful feel will win people over, is my guess.
It’s not really making an impact yet but I’m looking forward to seeing the live on stage performance and that’s all that matters - I think it will take a lot a people by surprise
I agree, people will get suprise Australia always has a good staging. One Mikali is in my top10. I like all kind of good music, some ESC fans like only a one genre of music radiofriendly pop what is a shame.

Oh yes! Definitely! Belgium really pulled it off with staging last year!
Yeah I was gutted the first time I heard it! However, just think of this as a brilliant move by SBS. We know Australia will slay the staging, so I think letting the song do the talking rather than displaying music video tricks is the best way to go. Let's wait for the staging.

This song is not for me, but I think it represents Australia very well and I'm happy it's in the lineup this year. It does stand out but I struggle to believe that a lot of people would have it in their say top5 and vote for it.

I would love to hear thoughts on the lyrics (outside of the chorus). It’s all a bit cheesy and cliche to me. Fleetwood Macs and the Janets; spill the tea; mentioning things like the universe and space. Makes me roll my eyes a bit.

I don't have anything against this song, but I agree that this style doesn't necessarily even get through the semis. It's always nice to see some other languages in the songs too apart from English, but it could have been used even more to really set this apart, since nothing else really stands out. Let's hope the staging saves it!
