The rum dee dum dum is so catchy! I agree with you that there is a big risk it won't work well live

I definitely think this one isn't going to be known for the vocals, rather the performance like Slomo or Fuego. It's going to be tough competition though as I think all the girl bops are going to make it through (including this one... give or take Cyprus). She's apparently a world champion in dance so she definitely isn't doing this for the vocals. Which I think is where the future is headed.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your reaction.
I was very excited to hear this song at Eurovision, but...
His voice is really disappointing, it's dramatic.
She participated in an Austrian show where she sang live, without vocal arrangement. (I'm French, I don't really know when this video is from...).
I found her voice catastrophic: lack of power, shortness of breath from the start (without having danced!), wrong notes...
The video is called "Kaleen - We Will Rave | LIVE | Die große Chance - Let's sing and dance | Austria | Eurovision 2024"
Could you give me your opinion please? :)
The beginning of the song and at 1:18 are high risk moments for her...
    Greetings from France ;)

Thanks for your comment! Here, the melody also played on the synthesiser. This brings out her melody more and is much more pleasant to listen to. Unfortunately, because this is so heavily pitch corrected, it can be a disaster on stage as we’ll still hear that synthesiser melody and it may sound mediocre with her singing along to it.
It works well within the arrangement and studio version of the piece, but is bound to fall flat in a performance

Hey, I listened to this a while back as it had a lot of early views, but found it disappointing. Lots about it felt to me like it won’t work or connect, and your review brings good focus onto the beat and transitions. It doesn’t even feel like a qualifier to me…
I wondered, are you going to review the Azeri song? I’d love to hear what you have to say about it. Thanks for the great reviews ⭐️

Thanks as always! Azerbaijan’s entry? Yup! I’ll be doing it! I can’t say I was very positive about it 🙈 I guess I had better prep you now incase you’re a fan! That being said, I didn’t look up any meanings

@@TheMuserResolute I like it, I think it’s very filmic in its sound. More I’m interested in what’s gone wrong for Azerbaijan? Their sound has stopped working for them somehow….

Well from her rehearsal snippet is seems that a lot of the vocal problems (that some people have had) were proven false, aka proven that she can perform this live. Long story short, don't make your final judgements based off of preparties lol

I love this kind of music. But what ive seen from live performances so far, it does not convince me vocally. And not that she js bad singer, this song is just not made like that.
The choreo is going to be awesome though.
So if it flops, it might as well not qualify.

It's good because it's Ruslana's Wild Dances. That's why I rebuke it! The rest is Mr. Vain and Firestarter...

It doesn't help that I'm really not into this kind of music, but the flimsy faux-sexy metallic vocals coupled with the punchy beat do nothing but grate on my nerves. Sorry, Austria, I prefer Edgar Allan Poe.

Edgar Allan Poe all the way! It was definitely a clever piece
