Music that makes me feel as much as yours makes life worth living, Daniel. Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to inspire. I owe you more than I can ever repay.
Wow, am I dreaming? It's such a long-awaited album from Daniel Rossen! I'm in absolute awe because of this beautiful artwork. From the first track, Rossen's music is a perfect antidote to the mediocre daily routines.
Fuck this is fucking so good right out of the gate, damn 1:37 I involuntarily made the absolute ugliest scrunched face of appreciation and started nodding-- an immediate sign that the song is indeed Bangin
Chord progressions that so easily could have become frustrating just end up being fascinating. This is gonna be a beautiful album to explore for a good long while. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us, Dan.
Just dropped by for an instant like in this masterpiece. Waiting for the lush golden vinyl to arrive. Now, let’s drastically cut short the interval for the next one :-)
What a masterful musician and song-writer. The colour and emotion it brings to my life is truly extraordinary. Always using his work (whether from Grizzly Bear or self-titled work) as inspiration for my own music - afraid I'll never reach his great heights and thats alright. Never stop please
A profound album that's masterly crafted, thank you for your beautiful music Daniel. The cyclical theme is forever relevant, the world needs more of this 🙏
Been a fan of Grizzly Bear and DOE for a while. Hadn’t gotten around to this one yet… but it came on right as I was heading to dream land with headphones on… and dang the dreams were vivid and intense as heck. I’m glad I woke up half way through so I could see what album was playing. Otherwise, it could have just kept rolling on to something else and I may have forgotten about it. Absolutely phenomenal album. I love the repeating motifs in unpeopled space / Celia. And I’ll Wait For Your Visit really resonated to some things going on in life. Thank you, Daniel :)
Been listening to this all last night. Father John Misty is gonna have to wait awhile. This is gonna take some time to soak in, my GOD it’s good.🙏❤️ Thank you Mr Rossen.
great to hear timeless, emotionally courageous and steadfastly unique album... for some reason I hear the slightest echoes of Nick Drake, and the jazz of Robert Wyatt's early solo albums, both of which are exalted company for any artist to keep.
I'm so so happy to have come across this album today. I could cry. Captivating and satisfying. The kind of album you lay down and listen to / appreciate every single detail. ❤
A masterpiece from Daniel Rossen. I resonate so much with the emotional narrative of this album, and I have a tendency to project myself into the music I enjoy. For this reason, I was hoping that the album would end on a more hopeful note. I hope Daniel is well, and that we all find some sort of peace.
I'm so glad I found your music so long ago with Department of Eagles and Grizzly Bear. You are such an inspiration to me, your music has woven into my life- and I needed it, I really hope you keep going with music and collaborate with other folks in the future to keep the fire alive ❤🔥
absolutely incredible, just wow. instant classic, totally inspiring and emotionally resonant. i don't have the words to be honest. it's one of my absolute favourites already.
Considering what was said in the review the score seemed extremely arbitrary; but it’s been a awhile since I’ve read one of their reviews so maybe that’s their style or something. Weird
@@loganlowe3731 Pitchfork is bizarre, I've heard that they make their reviews by having one group of people pick a score and a separate person writing the actual review, so there's constantly this weird divide between what gets written and what the actual score is, which is dumb.
Thank you for this offering, Master Daniel. I’ve been waiting on this one, and just ordered the CD. It will not be leaving the disc changer in my car for a long, long time. 🙏
Dude I was having a really hard time. Now I'm ok
after many listens, this album has earned its place in my list of all-time favourites

This album has been on repeat for me as this chaotic summer is fading into fall. Thank you for this and your past works, Daniel.

He definitely doesn't serve up his art on a silver platter; the music rewards intent listening. A masterpiece.

Sadly it doesn’t seem likely, but man. We need artists like this making music, it’s slim pickings out there in terms of this kinda next level stuff.
What a wonderful way to start a morning.

totally worth the 10 years wait, i cannot believe how amazing this is
this album is brilliant, honest, intimate, captivating, and the list goes on, but words can only do so much.
It's finally here!

2022 is turning into a surprisingly good year for music.
I will now go on to harmonically investigate everything Daniel has ever written
The Silent Hour/Golden Mile EP is so good. Strong memories commuting to and from work in the freezing snow with that on loop for a couple months.
Department of Eagles and of course Grizzly Bear are essential.
Been listening to Daniel since Department of Eagles!! Loving the new work!!
Been listening to this all last night. Father John Misty is gonna have to wait awhile. This is gonna take some time to soak in, my GOD it’s good.🙏❤️ Thank you Mr Rossen.
One of the best albums of 2022.
I didn't know Daniel Rossen. Now I do. And I'm already waiting for the next one!
Update: it’s really the best album of the year, ex aequo with “Hell Fire” by Black Midi.

Really incredible work. Interesting and beautiful. Deserves at least 2 more pts than that Pitchfork scoring.
