JK is an absolute legend. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed campsite years ago, just pitched a tent, in the campsite and this Rolls Royce Phantom pulls up, JK leans out and says “hey lads got any beers”. We of course obliged, then next day we met him in thr super car paddock with his black Ferrari Enzo and he let us climb all over it. He took great delight in blipping the throttle and frightening the bejesus out of unsuspecting people walking past the rear of the car.

Go to Jaywick in the Allegro! There is a street called 'Austin Avenue' which you need to park the Allegro up on. All of the roads are named after car companies and the town is laid out in the shape of an old car radiator grill.
All the Gear should do an interview style review on Rory’s mower like you would with a car interview. Get the beauty shots, driving shots of it moving and have it be running in the law and then end shot could be like a drone zoom out of the Auto Alex logo!
Jay is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met. When you start talking to him about cars you can spend all day talking to him (I spent a couple of hours in my old local before talking about cars with him.) I have been lucky enough to look round his collection a couple of times and his knowledge of his cars is something else.

Its a Volvo V40, badged as the T5 Cross County AWD.
28K miles, serviced included timing belt, and they handled the faff with the DVSA.
Car genuinely felt brand new inside. Lack of Nav was a shame, but Android Auto is on the list.
Sweet is it the proper T5 or the new joke they call T5 but it's a 4cyl

Taylor usually when people do evo conversions on the Proton Jumbuck & Satria, they use evo 1, 2 & 3 engines, awd system and body kit. The gearbox is on the left of the engine, where the evo 456, the gearbox is on the right.
Also the 4g63t out of the 123 aren't quite as strong or tunable as the later models 🤓
Firstly congratulations to Alex and Rhian, buy a buy a Jeep Cherokee, had mine for 7 years, I had 3 horses and 3 kids scattered around the country from Aberystwyth , Lincoln and Winchester at uni and colleges used it for towing etc it never let me down once and it was the 2.5 sport , you can lower the tailgate window, and if needed buy seats to go in the boot area, so brilliant for filming
Love that you’re looking at Japanese imports. Been eyeing up a T6 XC70 and Japan seems to be the only place where they are reasonably priced. Would love to know how they went though the process.

All the above said there is an old style silver 3.0 diesel with 188k in tidy looking condition for £3k on eBay just now, it’s got them written allover it, quite a few older ones to pick from in fact, just unfortunate they don’t have a split tailgate or opening rear window though

A404 nearly got me the other month. Coppers were sitting on the roundabout bridge that crosses the A4. I was already ejecting the A404 to take a back road. Was the actual traffic police, not a van, one had the camera, the other was waiting on the slip road.
I had a car that would never bleed the brakes properly, like you I replaced everything and put many litres of brake fluid through it. In the end it was indeed the pedal! The pedal was two pieces of pressed steel spot welded together and one of the spot welds had failed and the force wasn't all reaching the master cylinder.
You guys should do a top gear style adventure with drivetribe and richard hammond that would be awsome

You need tongue weight on a pickup truck to tow with them! They're light in the rear, 10% tongue weight puts weight on the rear of the truck and in front of the trailer axles, smooths it out and reduces chance of trailer sway.

You can mount Mercedes Vito seats foward or backwards which might work for your big pete replacement, oh and if you get an imported 3.7 one from Japan it's the fastest production van available in the UK (only a few were sold in UK)

It's a lot of fun playing with toys from japan times have changed since they were far more available and in lower demand but with patience you can build a proper nice example of something you'll appreciate for a long time and make a healthy return on as it appreciates in the collectors' market

Yay fiat multipla, was thinking crew car! 57:27 they’re so practical! Had 3, two petrols and one JTD, hypermiled the JTD to 72mpg! Awful reliability but amazing fun and full sized seats for kids seats
I have a Cayenne 957 Turbo (2008) and 22-23mpg on a run is spot on, and around town i've seen 13mpg max and no more. My average around town is generally 11-12mpg.
To be fair, 22-23mpg in a well laden 2.35 ton 500bhp 4.8 twin turbo from Northampton to Pitlochry in Scotland at a steady 80mph on the speedo in cruise control mode is IMHO pretty bloody good. Its a proper mile munching beast.
A N/A V8 is no better on fuel so treat yourself and get the V8 Turbo for the significantly extra grunt.
Skip to 1:24:40 with Taylor receiving bittie from Alex. Never have I laughed so hard! 🤣

You have to drive an integra type r, it's the best handling car I've ever driven and they are not underrated, but many people just don't know about them or dismiss them just for being fwd, we need to raise awareness about how good they are

Try a jdm 98 spec which is the facelift and the jdm ones are lighter and more powerful.
Also they are very practical, reliable, good on fuel, I use mine every day

LOL, fuel consumption of a Cayenne, reminds me I once owned a Daimler Double 6 Coupe, a wonderful thing to drive, but 12MPG if you drove it like you stole it - and 12MPG if you drove it like your Granny. Twin tanks were soooo necessary and you could actually see the fuel gauge moving as you wafted along.
If you guys do find a van try a Toyota Hiace with the single rear door that lifts up for filming and have it fitted with an "AirRide" Suspension from AirRide UK which would allow Rory to have smooth video panning when Filming any subject vehicle
They would be as well just use the VW transporter that Taylor has from the barn haul in that case, but they won’t use a van and driving around with a completely open rear hatch on a van with someone sitting there is gonna attract unwanted attention from the fuzz, hence Discovery etc is such a good choice as technically you only have a window open

hearing you guys talk about the run on the autobahn.... my high mileage hero, 206k miles, a vr6-swapped mk3 "celebration edition" 95 golf, has done over 140mph on "mexican highways" with 4 people in it (read:witnesses). not saying it got there post haste, but we saw over 140 on that nice flat smooth stretch of mexican highway we were on. my sister was freaking out laughing the whole time
