I have watched a large number of creative videos on how to attach a trolling motor to a kayak and imho yours is without a doubt the most simple, elegant and clever installation I have seen!!
Your videos are very well done and informative a well 🙂
    Thank you!!

Thank you very much. I too watched a lot of videos and really didn’t see a simple set up. I wanted a simple nice looking design that was easy to take on and off. Thanks for watching.

I have lifetime teton angler 100 kayak, bought it few years ago and it has been my favorite and best purchase of my life. I love it. I just bought the 24lb watersnake, the power queen 50AH LiFe battery it all just came in this week. Thank you for the inspiration and being so creative! I can't wait to get out on the water and try this! has the battery held up since you bought it? and do you have any comments on battery chargers for the battery? Thank you Hot Lead! This is my first time with any kind of marine electronics/ battery usage.

Thanks for watching. I am pleased to say my battery is still going strong. So, using a 50 amp hour battery will take 5 hours to charge using a 10 amp charger if the battery is almost fully depleted. I use a 10 amp LiFe charger. Best thing is you can charge it up and store it all winter and it will be good the next kayak season. You’ll love!

Great video. I have the same boat with the 18 lb watersnake hull mount. The rudder mod is great! Going to make one for mine. The 2 gripes I have is trying to get going in a straight direction ( I've done circles numerous times trying to get going) and the cheap ass prop on the motor. You bump anything and the props done. I contacted watersnake and those cheap props are the only ones available. I inshore fish the flats in SWFL and am thinking about switching to another brand due to this as mine eats props in this shallow water. Thanks for the tips!

wow 4.85lbs! i just picked up a newport 36lb kayak trolling motor (shorter shaft) and it works great but it's around 20lbs. 36lb thrust turned out to be more than i need. i might look into grabbing this motor!

Mine works good I did the same thing with a tamarac but I upgraded my seat to the stadium fr Walmart. I could use the rudder as well but it’s fine how it is

I bought a 12 foot set of 8 gauge jumper cables and used the cables to run from my battery to motor plug outlet. I cut the all the alligator clamps off the jumper cables used batter terminal leads soldered to the cable and used 8 gauge heat shrink sleeves.

The Lifetime Teton or Yukon are very stable. Hold up 350 lbs. Either one would be great pick.
