For pure trolling, show them the Mirrodin block artifact lands. Without contaxt, they're functionally just like the basic lands that happen to also be artifacts and lose the ability to interact with things that specify basic lands... no other abilities, still obey normal play rules for lands, they're just artifacts instead of being Basic... just... artifacts... what's the worst that could happen?

      I/we play
We play, I try to stop you in real time you try to push for game
And then the same turn but switched around)
Although I was saying it bc paying in Yugioh usually means paying with cards and not every card gets you something for being in the grave, so going -3 to accomplish nothing that's game defining happens in Yugioh quite a bit (usually it's your opponent having some interactionwith your board) and it usually means that you lost, either right now or that turn 3 is going to be a tossup on you being able to push for game and on turn 4 you're done most likely done and going -4 is so bad you usually concede. While in other games paying is not that detrimental it goes in the same brain area, so a Yugioh player trying to play another game has difficulty assessing a 4+ cost card in any other game because they have a goblin inside telling them "hold on there pardner, that shit's too expensive for what it does, we're gonna lose if you put this card on your deck"

Bro got all the way to questing beast and I can tell he was thinking that deathtouch means you can ram it into larger creatures at will, even saying things like “you want them to establish their board before playing it” no my friend, you run this out there fast as possible and make them deal with it.

Just saying for Questing Beast its cost is negligible due to the fact it’s in green. green in the Ramp colour you can get Questing Beast out turn 3 pretty easily in this colour so you’re opponent working with like 2 mana is forced to deal with this thing and waste resources on this card that can quickly become a problem since you turn 2 plays can’t do anything it besides kill spells or damage spells.

@@TheOneJameYT one of my favorite things about Magic vs Yugioh is that besides a resource system, how combat works, and having a Permanent limit, the games are surprisingly similar and translate across and you can easily use terms to bridge the gap instantly. One of my favorite examples being the time I witnessed someone trying to teach a Yugioh player Magic. The Yugioh player was having a hard time understanding combat and Trample. I said one thing and unlocked everything for him: "Trample is just Piercing Battle Damage from Yugioh and without Trample no damage is dealt to the player if they block."

TBH the concept of bricking due not seeing enough mana or far too many is a turn off. That and I prefer anime over western fantasy art. Two different styles for each camp of folk. Yugioh has the more skillful player generally win as varience is at a all time minimum. Also makes it easy to recreate situations in the lab/testing, reminds of fighting games in that way

ps.: i just had an alrunds epiphany, flying is literally toon in yugioh. toons also attack directly unless the opponent has toons
