One suggestion would be to add a comment at the beginning to point out that your 'Options > general options > accessibility > cockpit interaction system' toggle is set to 'Legacy' for pushing and pulling knobs. I had mine set to 'Locked' and took me a bit to figure it out.
I just did my first A310 familiarization flight and I had just one button for AP1 toggle. Once I turned off the AP the whole cockpit started screaming at me with all sorts of horns and AP off sounds and it _just wouldn't shut up!_ I only later realized that I was supposed to use the AP disconnect switch on the yoke 😝
@@djrivera2219 Yeah it spoiled some approaches for me. Today it was even better. I got full engine failure two times in a320 by FlyByWire. No idea why.
i was flying with the A310 and the A300 my only problem was that the route was turning right or left and the aircraft juste go ahead like the route is not turning, like L Nav is not working...
Such a lovely information here ! But a question : if I set a flight plan for example from Brussels to Malaga (reasons unknown hehe) and I want to setup that it flies the "waypoints" (sorry not that familiar with the correct names of everything) how do I set that ?
I can't make mine do that either. I believe you have to have the Nav button on, but mine just switches itself off immediately. I can't find anything about how to prevent this.
bind an assignment to autopilot off instead of toggle and double click that assignment. you have to double click it to tell the plane your disengaging it intentionally which will cause the alarm to sound once and then stop. unfortunately toggle will turn it back on when you try to click twice which means you need a separate assignment to turn it back on.
This plane is on the complicated side. Your video series on this is invaluable.
This plane is such a fascinating evolutionary step between the old pre-electronic jets and the A320 family!

Always flown Fighters , just got in the A-310 and im surprised how much you can do like refuel and luggage mode etc , amazing

NEW A300-600 is out now. So awesome. They did a lot more work on it compared to the A310.
For me sometimes the ap does what it wants without any reason and it is driving me nuts to the point i want to smash my monitor
Yeah one time it insisted on putting me in overspeed, even after turning off auto thrust it kept doing it

autopilot levler wont even switch on...just starts beeping when i try to turn it on
